Chapter 235: Wine Enters the Heart
It all happened too fast; by the time An Yimo came to her senses, Zeng Yurong and An Baoxu were already beaten black and blue.
She quickly stepped forward and said to Ye Bufan, “Xiao Fan, tell them to stop.”
No matter what, these two were her mother and younger brother, and she couldn't just watch them get beaten.
Ye Bufan saw that it was enough and waved his hand at the little yellow-haired guy, and the few hooligans immediately stopped.
Zeng Yurong and An Baoxu crawled up from the ground, glared at Ye Bufan, their eyes spitting fire, but they dared not say anything.
They now understood that once they showed disrespect to the man in front of them, he wouldn't even need to lift a finger himself; the little yellow-haired guy and his crew would show absolutely no mercy.
Ye Bufan glanced at the two of them and said, “You two can go.
From now on, remember this: don't expect Xiao Mo to support you anymore.
You have hands and feet; figure out how to earn money yourselves.”
Zeng Yurong gave Ye Bufan a vicious glare and pulled An Baoxu out of the private room.
An Yimo wanted to chase after them, but Ye Bufan pulled her back, “It’s definitely useless for you to go now; you’ll only bring trouble upon yourself!”
She thought about it and realized he was right.
Once she went out, her mother and younger brother would surely vent all their anger on her.
The little yellow-haired guy knew he shouldn't stay here any longer and respectfully stepped forward, saying, “Ye Ye, if there’s nothing else, we’ll leave.
In the future, if you need anything, just give us the order.”
Ye Bufan waved his hand, and the hooligans left the private room together, closing the door behind them.
He patted An Yimo’s shoulder and said, “I’m sorry, I didn’t control my emotions well.”
“It’s nothing, I know this isn’t your fault.”
Although An Yimo said this, she felt a heavy ache in her heart.
She knew Ye Bufan was doing it for her own good, and she knew her mother and younger brother were in the wrong today.
But no matter what, they were her closest family, and for a moment, she didn't know how to face them.
Suddenly, she grabbed the wine glass on the table and downed the wine in one gulp.
Finally, she poured another full glass and once again tilted her head back, drinking it all.
She was about to pour more, but Ye Bufan pressed down on the wine bottle.
An Yimo suddenly threw herself into his arms and burst into tears.
Ye Bufan reached out and patted her back, letting her freely vent the grievances that had accumulated for years in his embrace.
After an unknown amount of time, An Yimo stopped crying and slowly began to recount: “Ever since I can remember, my mother has always instilled in me the idea of yielding to my younger brother.
She told me that only my younger brother could carry on the family Bloodline for the An family.
No matter what I did, I had to center it around my younger brother, not argue with him, not let him be bullied, and spend any money I earned on him…
My younger brother grew up under my care, and I never felt there was anything wrong with doing that.
It wasn't until I became an adult that, because I was pretty, my mother always wanted me to marry a wealthy man so she could get a large dowry for my younger brother.
That was the first time I felt unfairness and developed a rebellious spirit.
I had always dreamed of having my own love; I didn't want it to be a monetary transaction, and even less did I want to spend my life with someone I didn't like.
So from that time on, I started working desperately, trying to earn money, no matter how much hardship or grievance I endured.
I only sought to satisfy my mother and younger brother, hoping that once they were satisfied, they would no longer cross my bottom line.
But as time went on, I found that all of this was a luxury.
No matter how hard I tried, the speed at which I earned money could never keep up with the speed at which they spent it.
Their greed was insatiable; they kept pushing me to marry a rich man…”
At this point, she choked up and sobbed again.
Ye Bufan said, “Actually, you were wrong in your thinking.
They are just your relatives, and you are not their tool for making money.
Supporting our parents is our duty, but unfortunately, your parents are not yet at the age where they need to be supported.
They are capable of working and can earn a living with their own hands.
There's no need to even mention your younger brother; he's a grown man, and there's no reason for you to support him, let alone his wife and his soon-to-be-born child.
You don't owe them anything, nor do you have the responsibility or obligation to give all your earned money to them.”
An Yimo said, “But they are my closest family, and I believe they would also help me if I encountered difficulties.”
Ye Bufan said, “You're thinking too much.
In their eyes, you are just a tool for making money; there is no family affection whatsoever.
Otherwise, they wouldn't let you live alone in that small house in Chengzhong Village, and they wouldn't endlessly drain your Bloodline like a bottomless pit…”
As he was speaking, he realized the woman in his arms had already fallen asleep, and a faint scent of wine emanated with each breath.
As the saying goes, a single cup of wine can drown a thousand sorrows.
An Yimo was already in a bad mood, and coupled with her poor alcohol tolerance, she completely passed out after two consecutive glasses of red wine.
“Ugh…”
With such low alcohol tolerance, why drink at all?
Helpless, Ye Bufan could only carry An Yimo out of the restaurant and put her into his car.
He originally wanted to take her back to Tenglong Pharmaceutical, but then he thought that it was, after all, his workplace.
If people found out tomorrow that the chairman brought back a drunken general manager, it probably wouldn't sound very good.
It would lead people to mistakenly believe that An Yimo became general manager entirely through an unspeakable nepotistic relationship.
Thinking of this, he drove directly back to Yunding Mountain Villa.
Anyway, he had many houses, and one more person wouldn't make a difference.
Back home, he carried An Yimo into the guest room and placed her on the bed.
He looked at the woman on the bed; as the saying goes, a beautiful woman drunk is infinitely charming, and he experienced it firsthand today.
At this moment, An Yimo's fair cheeks were flushed with the redness of drunkenness, making her look even more beautiful.
He helped her cover herself with the blanket and turned to leave.
But the drunken An Yimo suddenly opened her eyes hazily and hugged him around the waist, “Don’t leave, Little Prince, don’t leave.
I’ve been looking for you for so long!”
“Ugh…”
Ye Bufan realized she had mistaken him for some Little Prince and quickly said, “Xiao Mo, let go of me, you’ve got the wrong person!”
But An Yimo showed no intention of letting go.
She jumped up from the bed and threw herself into Ye Bufan’s arms, wrapping her hands tightly around his neck, and her delicate red lips suddenly pressed against his.
“Little Prince, don’t leave, take me.
I don’t want to marry someone I don’t like; I want to be your woman.”
She murmured to herself while tearing at her clothes, revealing large expanses of fair skin.
“Ugh…”
Ye Bufan, being actively assaulted by such a beautiful woman, immediately felt his Bloodline surge, and his whole body felt like it was on fire.
He quickly reached out and pressed a pressure point on An Yimo, and only then did the woman calm down.
Ye Bufan laid her down properly on the bed, covered her with the blanket, and then rushed into the bathroom, turning on the shower.
Cold water poured over him from head to toe, barely managing to extinguish the flames within his body.
The next morning, when An Yimo opened her eyes, she found herself in an unfamiliar environment.
A strange sense of panic flashed through her heart.
She quickly checked her undergarments and found no signs of violation, which made her breathe a sigh of relief.
She rubbed her head hard, trying to recall what happened last night.
But she only remembered the conflict between Ye Bufan and her mother and younger brother; after that, she remembered nothing, and couldn't recall how she got here.
