Chapter 26: Elf Continent, Little Rich Girl
"Since this is your first time here, let's go. I'll take you to see Sister Eileen and Sister Luna," Lin Chen said softly.
"Yay! Yay!" Xue Yao clapped her hands excitedly, her eyes full of anticipation.
The group followed Lin Chen to the riverbank and boarded an exquisite flower boat.
The stream was crystal clear, the river water gurgling as it flowed, with scattered flower petals floating on the surface, drifting with the waves.
The boat swayed gently, carrying them slowly forward.
Along the way, emerald vines entwined the ancient trees on the banks, and the air was filled with a faint floral fragrance. Several little elves with transparent wings fluttered among the flowers, emitting laughter as crisp as silver bells.
Before long, a dreamlike Elf flower castle appeared ahead.
The World Tree, towering into the clouds, stood majestically with lush branches and leaves, casting dappled light and shadows.
Beneath the tree, a pool of life spring water radiated a rich vitality, the water gurgling as it flowed, nourishing the gorgeous sea of flowers all around.
Petals filled the sky, dancing with the wind, while little elves darted through the air, leaving trails of light points behind.
"The Queen! The Queen is here!"
A crisp cheer rang out, and the surrounding Elf Girls immediately gathered around, their faces full of surprise and joy.
They flapped their small emerald wings, coming lightly to the side of the flower boat, lifting the hull, and slowly escorting the group toward the center of the flower castle.
Just then, two little elves with crystalline wings pulled down a cradle hanging chair woven from soft vines and starlight threads, which descended slowly from the air like a throne, swaying gently.
Lin Chen looked at the hanging chair, stunned for a moment, a shy blush appearing on her cheeks.
In other circumstances, she would naturally have sat on it without hesitation, but now, with so many of her own people around… She waved her hand somewhat bashfully, standing in place, looking slightly awkward.
"Everyone, don't be so formal. We're all our own people; just act as you usually do."
The Elf Girls nodded one after another, immediately becoming lively.
They surrounded the three of them—Lin Fan, Xue Yan, and Xue Yao—chattering away with curious eyes. A few mischievous little elves even fluttered around Lin Fan, seemingly sizing up this "human male."
"Wow, his aura is so special!"
"So powerful! But also so warm."
"Is he Queen-sama's partner?"
Lin Fan raised an eyebrow with a smile but didn't speak. Lin Chen's cheeks flushed slightly. "We'll talk about that later. Go prepare the banquet and entertain everyone properly."
Hearing the word "banquet," the Elf Girls immediately cheered and busied themselves.
Just then, two figures slowly appeared from the depths of the flower castle.
Eileen wore a light green dress, with long, pointed ears and slightly curled, pale green hair. Her figure was graceful, her features gentle, and her steps light.
Luna followed closely behind, also with pointed ears, golden hair draped over her shoulders, and dressed in light silver armor. Her face was sharp, her eyes revealing calmness and restraint, looking heroic and spirited.
The two walked up to Lin Chen, lifted their skirts slightly, and bowed. "Queen-sama, welcome back."
This was the standard etiquette of the Elf Race: lifting the skirt and bowing slightly—small, sensible, and endearing, making one feel affection for them.
After finishing, the two performed the standard Elf etiquette to Lin Fan and the others: "Welcome."
Lin Chen felt dizzy watching this. "Sister Eileen, Sister Luna, there's no need for this. We're all our own people."
The two said in unison, "What is necessary must still be done."
"Alright. I can't win against you."
While they were talking, a group of Elf Girls pulled their skirts and bowed in unison. "Queen, the banquet is ready."
"Alright, then let's go to the banquet."
Lin Fan leaned in next to Lin Chen and praised, "Lin Chen, this is really impressive."
Lin Chen felt like she would die of embarrassment. With her head lowered, she spoke in a voice as soft as a mosquito, "You're still saying that? I'm so embarrassed. I won't bring you next time."
It was for this very reason that Lin Chen only took Lin Fan to her exclusive small garden, but now that there were many people, she naturally couldn't take them there.
The feast of the Elf Race was different from that of humans. The food laid out on the long table was colorful, looking not at all like food, but like a floral art performance.
However, one could not deny the value of this food. In the petals, that touch of green was the life fruit. With a gentle bite, sweet juice instantly filled the mouth, and the Profound Truth of life contained within not only healed diseases but could also increase Lifespan.
The crystalline dew on the petals was star dew honey wine, emitting a faint fluorescent glow. It was not only beautiful, but taking a small sip made one feel immersed in the starry sky.
The tender buds garnished on top were even more precious, containing divinity and Dao marks; they were treasures that all God Kings would fight crazily for.
Not to mention the pastries made from various spirit flowers.
Lin Chen sat in the main seat, Lin Fan, Xue Yan, and Xue Yao sat on either side of her, while Eileen and Luna sat opposite.
"Try it. The food of the Elf Race is quite good," Lin Chen said with a smile.
Xiao Du's voice suddenly rang in Lin Fan's ear, "Lin Chen is really a little rich girl. The divinity contained in the items on this table alone would be worth hundreds of millions of merit points."
"What?" Back then, the thousand "Scarlet Flame Profound Crystals," hundred "Primordial Fire Spirits," and ten "Blazing Flame Dao Fruits" that Lin Fan obtained could only be exchanged for 15 million merit points.
Now, a single meal was consuming hundreds of millions of merit points? Were they eating divinity like Chinese cabbage?
"Lin Chen, isn't this… too extravagant?"
Lin Chen blinked her light green star-like eyes, her tone natural: "These are just the daily food of the Elf Race; it's nothing."
Lin Fan's mouth twitched. If he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, he would never have believed these words.
What did she mean by "it's nothing"? Any random petal contained the Profound Truth of life, and a single drop of dew was a top-tier divine substance. If this were placed in the outside world, who knows how many God Kings would be willing to trade countless resources for it!
Xue Yao couldn't wait to pick up a petal covered in star dew honey wine and took a light lick. Her beautiful eyes immediately lit up, and she exclaimed, "Delicious! It's sweet and refreshing, with a hint of spiritual rhyme, as if the whole person is soaking in starlight."
Xue Yan also picked up a life fruit and took a small bite. Her body trembled slightly, feeling a warm, gentle vitality flowing through her body. She couldn't help but whisper, "This power… is so magical?"
Eileen smiled gently and explained, "The life fruit is a fruit nurtured by the World Tree. It not only replenishes your vitality but, most importantly, repairs the Dao foundation and nourishes the Divine Soul, making cultivation more stable."
Lin Fan was shocked. The value of such divine objects could no longer be measured. It was no wonder the Ancient Gods would make a move against the Elf Race.
"Lin Chen, these things of yours are too precious. You must never let the outside world know."
"Got it. Try this; it's quite delicious." Saying that, Lin Chen shoved a life fruit into Lin Fan's hand.
"Alright, it seems I'll have to get used to your identity as a 'little rich girl' from now on."
Lin Fan didn't play coy and took a big bite. It was fresh, tender, and juicy, and a warm, gentle vitality flowed through his body. The hidden injuries left behind from his rapid Breakthrough were rapidly healing.
This? It was unimaginable that this was just fruit used by the Elf Race for daily hospitality.
Just imagine, a race that is incredibly wealthy but lacks Peak combat power—how could it not make people covet them?
