Chapter 265: The Prince’s Residence (1)

Before Nangong Liuyun, they were all as silent as cicadas in winter, not daring to even let out a full breath. They trembled, looking exactly as if they had seen the King of Hell.

Su Luo was puzzled. Although Nangong was a bit cynical and roguish, why were the servants so afraid of him?

Unable to fathom the reason, Su Luo walked along deep in thought, soon arriving at the bedroom.

Su Luo quietly pushed open the door and peered inside.

At this moment, Nangong stood with his hands clasped behind his back, quietly stationed before the open window, his dark eyes gazing at the sparse, fading stars in the sky.

His profile was as perfect as an exquisitely carved ancient Greek deity, bewitchingly compelling.

Hearing the sound, he slowly turned his head, his dark eyes gazing at Su Luo with a smile.

In that instant, Su Luo felt her heart skip a beat. An unprecedented, strange sensation made the area closest to her heart feel tingly and numb, and her heartbeat began to accelerate, beyond her control.

"Come here." Nangong Liuyun elegantly beckoned to Su Luo, every gesture exuding nobility and dominance.

Su Luo just looked at him, remaining silent and not moving a step.

Nangong Liuyun glanced at her playfully: "Dawdling—what, are you afraid?"

Su Luo raised her eyebrows and glared at him: "Afraid of what? Why should I be afraid? Do you look that terrifying?"

Nangong Liuyun spun around, and in the blink of an eye, Su Luo was already in his arms. He looked down at her: "Hmm, my Luo Luo is the bravest, how could she be afraid?"

As he spoke, he used his slender fingertips to caress her smooth, fair cheek.

"Speak properly, and keep your hands to yourself." Su Luo glared at him in displeasure.

Nangong Liuyun raised an eyebrow, his gaze dark, bewitching and captivating: "Talking while touching doesn't hinder anything, my little Luo Luo. What are you shy about?"

Su Luo felt enveloped by his unique masculine scent; even the air she inhaled carried his aura. Her face flushed slightly, and she pushed him away, straightening her expression: "Nangong Liuyun, don't change the subject. I'm asking you—since you forced me to stay, where am I sleeping tonight?"

A flash of confusion crossed Nangong Liuyun's beautiful eyes, followed by a matter-of-fact tone: "Silly Luo Luo, does that even need to be asked? Of course, you're sleeping here."

Su Luo felt the breath catch in her throat. Narrowing her eyes dangerously, she stared at Nangong Liuyun and enunciated clearly: "What—did—you—say?"

Nangong Liuyun fluidly poured two glasses of amber-colored wine, then lowered his gaze, swirling them slowly.

"Nangong Liuyun, you explain yourself!" Su Luo huffed in exasperation. She had been forced by circumstances to agree to stay, but that did not mean she would share a room with him!

Nangong Liuyun's lowered gaze lifted slightly, his dark eyes fixed on Su Luo. A smile slowly curled at the corners of his lips—bewitching, captivating, and as noble as a deity.

"Hmph, not going to explain, are you? Then I'm leaving right now." Su Luo turned around in a huff, intending to walk away.

However, just as she passed Nangong Liuyun, he caught her by the arm.

Nangong Liuyun tilted his head back, his sexy throat bobbing as he downed the amber wine.

While drinking, his dark, deep gaze remained fixed intently on Su Luo, unmoving.
