Chapter 269 Homework Submission
Jiang Cheng had a headache looking at the problems in the notebook in front of him. He was good at managing employees in the workshop or solving machinery malfunctions.
But when it came to managing the company or dealing with some of the problems the company faced, he felt his brain wasn't enough, and he couldn't think of any good solutions.
Time flew by.
It was already afternoon when he returned from the group headquarters.
He then organized a long meeting with employees in the conference room, so it was soon time to get off work.
Checking the time,
Jiang Cheng sighed, picked up his notebook, and walked towards the employee dormitory.
He didn't go to the cafeteria; with the problems he couldn't solve, he simply had no appetite.
Returning to the dormitory,
He sat down at a small square table, and there was also a single-row bookshelf beside the table, filled with books. These were all bought by his wife, Wang Juan.
He had to read these books every day, of course, under his wife's supervision.
In his wife's words,
"Mr. Chen values you and made you the general manager of the Clothing Factory. In terms of ability, you are not qualified."
"Becoming general manager has a lot to do with luck, so to be worthy of this position, you must study hard."
Many of those books were about economics and management, which gave him a headache. But under his wife's supervision, he still had to read them every day.
Not long after,
Disorderly footsteps came from the corridor of the employee dormitory.
Jiang Cheng glanced at the time, knowing that these were the employees living in the dormitory, returning to rest after dinner.
About half an hour later, the dormitory door opened, and his wife, Wang Juan, walked in.
"Why didn't you go eat?"
Wang Juan looked at Jiang Cheng, who was sitting at the square table, and placed a packed meal box on the table.
"I have no appetite and don't want to eat," Jiang Cheng said faintly, shaking his head.
"Even if you have no appetite, you can't skip meals. I've brought your food back; think about any problems after you've eaten."
Wang Juan directly opened the packed meal box on the square table and pushed it in front of Jiang Cheng.
Seeing this, Jiang Cheng slowly put down the notebook in his hand and began to eat.
"Tell me, what problem have you encountered?"
After Jiang Cheng finished eating, Wang Juan asked.
They had been married for so many years, and she knew Jiang Cheng's personality perfectly. His current state definitely meant he had something on his mind.
Jiang Cheng thought about it upon hearing her, and finally explained the problems the company was currently facing.
Then he looked at his wife and tentatively said,
"What do you think? Should I report this matter to Mr. Chen and see how to solve it?"
"No, you are already the general manager of the company. If you can't even solve such a small matter and still need to report it, then what's the point of having you as a leader?"
Wang Juan shook her head without hesitation.
"But how should this problem be solved?"
Jiang Cheng gave a wry smile. He also knew that such a small matter should not be reported to the higher-ups.
But he had thought for a long time and indeed hadn't come up with any good solutions.
Wang Juan also fell into deep thought, slowly picked up Jiang Cheng's notebook where he recorded the problems, and read it carefully.
After a while,
She looked up and slowly said,
"The biggest problem here is the excess workshops. I think you can talk to Li Maode, the Industrial Park manager, and see if you can rent more workshops."
"I also want to rent more workshops, but the key problem now is that there are no extra vacant workshops in the Industrial Park."
Jiang Cheng showed a wry smile. He also wanted to rent workshops in the Industrial Park, but the key was that there weren't any.
Wang Juan shook her head upon hearing this.
"If there are no vacant workshops now, then find a way to create vacant workshops by making other companies leave this Industrial Park."
"But how do we make those employees in the Industrial Park leave? We can't just kick them out, can we? And even if we did, they might not leave."
"You don't need to kick them out; you can make them leave voluntarily."
"How is that possible? Who would willingly move their company for no reason?"
Jiang Cheng looked confused.
Wang Juan, however, smiled.
"Of course there's a way, but it requires the cooperation of Li Maode, the Industrial Park manager. As long as we spread the news that our Clothing Factory needs to expand further and requires a large number of workers, I believe those companies in the Industrial Park will definitely not be able to sit still and will voluntarily leave the Industrial Park."
Listening to his wife's words, Jiang Cheng instantly understood.
The case of the Mechanical Factory had just happened right before his eyes.
If the news of the Clothing Factory's expansion and need for a large number of employees spread, the bosses in the Industrial Park would definitely not be able to sit still.
After all, their companies were in the same Industrial Park. Employees from other companies, upon hearing the news that the Clothing Factory needed many workers, would certainly consider changing jobs.
Those bosses would definitely not want to stay in the Industrial Park. Not only would employees jump ship, but it was highly likely that newly recruited employees, after learning about the Clothing Factory, might also jump ship.
If they wanted to solve the problem fundamentally, there was only one way: to move far away from Changfeng Clothing.
Wang Juan saw her husband's expression and knew he had understood, so she continued,
"However, before doing this, you still need to apply to Mr. Chen. We must ensure that after other companies move out, our Changfeng Clothing will rent all the vacant workshops; otherwise, Li Maode will not cooperate."
"Okay, I'll report to Mr. Chen tomorrow."
Jiang Cheng nodded, knowing his wife was right.
After all, Li Maode's income was linked to the rented workshops.
If they didn't guarantee to rent all the vacant workshops, Li Maode would definitely not agree.
But for the order to rent all of them, he would definitely need Mr. Chen's approval before he dared to promise Li Maode.
However, Mr. Chen had stated during the meeting that they would rent all the vacant workshops in the Industrial Park.
So, barring any surprises, Mr. Chen would definitely agree to tomorrow's application.
After figuring this out, Jiang Cheng looked at his wife with an incredulous expression.
He hadn't expected that this solution would come from his wife.
"Wife, how did you do it? How did you come up with such a solution?"
"By reading books! Are those books I bought just for display? I have to make you read every day, and I've read so many books myself!"
Wang Juan said exasperatedly.
She had only finished primary school when she was young because her family had no money, so she hadn't continued her education.
However, during this time, to supervise Jiang Cheng's reading and studying, she would also read alongside him. It was fine before, but once she started reading, she found the things in the books so interesting.
Even when she wasn't supervising Jiang Cheng, she would read during her free time from work and rest.
"Wife, you're amazing!"
Jiang Cheng chuckled. Having solved a difficult work problem, his mood improved greatly.
"What are you grinning about? Hurry up and read and study. And… after you finish reading, it's time to turn in your homework."
Wang Juan said as she walked into the bathroom.
Upon hearing the words "turn in your homework," Jiang Cheng's smile instantly froze.
