Chapter 27: Then I Will Grant Your Wish

"Boom-hummm—!"

"Ding-cling—!"

Two sounds of metal clashing rang out simultaneously; the ringing of blades was piercingly shrill.

Under Su Lang's Martial Artist-level attack, Teng Bao and the other person could barely parry; their weapons were instantly knocked aside, leaving their faces wide open.

At the same time, a terrifying, invisible immense force surged from the blade tips, causing half of their bodies to go numb, rendering them unable to perform any swift movements for a short while.

"This is absolutely impossible!!"

Teng Bao was dumbfounded, unable to believe that his own strength, having been immersed in the Quasi-Martial Artist Realm for many years, was actually no match for a young man in a single exchange!

The other Quasi-Martial Artist from the Broken Axe Hunting Group was also extremely shocked and disbelieving.

Yet, the facts were right before them; no matter how much they refused to believe it, they had no choice but to accept it!

"Ghost Moon, Nai!"

Just at that moment, Su Lang struck with his blade again, and the throats of three more Broken Axe Hunting Group members were severed, blood gushing out like a fountain.

"We cannot fight this; retreat!"

Seeing this scene, Teng Bao and his companion were terrified and immediately tried to pull back and retreat.

"Thinking of leaving now? Ghost Moon, Shun!"

Su Lang sneered arrogantly, took a step forward, his figure spanning several meters, and slashed towards Teng Bao.

"So fast!!"

Watching the blade grow larger in his vision, Teng Bao was so terrified that his scalp felt like it was about to explode.

He instinctively raised his long blade to block in front of him, but the lethal blade light suddenly swerved, striking directly at his waist and abdomen.

"Pfft!"

The white blade entered flesh, bringing out a spray of scarlet.

Teng Bao's eyes bulged wide, the endless sharp pain nearly draining all his strength, causing his footsteps to falter and his balance to waver.

"Boss Teng!"

"The boss has been defeated, what do we do!?"

"Run! Save whoever can run!"

"…"

The remaining three members of the Broken Axe Hunting Group saw Teng Bao heavily wounded and were instantly panic-stricken.

Immediately following that, under the leadership of that Quasi-Martial Artist, they began to scatter and flee.

"Don't go! Come back!"

Teng Bao's eyes filled with despair as he slumped to the ground.

He never imagined that these guys, whom he called brothers on ordinary days, would be so selfish and devoid of loyalty at such a critical moment!

"Do you want them to come back? I'll help you!"

While mocking him, Su Lang's body had already chased after the fleeing Quasi-Martial Artist.

With his Quasi-Martial Artist+ movement Rank, he caught up to the Quasi-Martial Artist in just three breaths.

"Go to hell!"

The Quasi-Martial Artist felt needles pricking his back, his hair standing on end, and he immediately turned around fiercely to swing his sword.

"Ding-cling!"

The long sword let out a shrill cry as a head flew high into the air.

The other two fleeing members of the Broken Axe Hunting Group saw the Quasi-Martial Artist being beheaded with a single strike, and they were so terrified that their hearts froze, and they were scared out of their wits.

One of them was even so fearful that his legs went weak; he fell to the ground and then prostrated himself, kowtowing continuously to Su Lang.

"Still not stopping?"

Su Lang looked indifferently at the last remaining big man from the Broken Axe Hunting Group, his cold voice sounding as if it came from a bottomless abyss.

The last fleeing big man from the Broken Axe Hunting Group trembled all over and involuntarily stopped his steps.

Immediately after, he turned his body extremely stiffly and knelt down trembling with fear.

"Very obedient, not bad."

Su Lang smiled slightly and walked towards the deathly pale Teng Bao.

As Su Lang's footsteps drew closer, Teng Bao's body was instantly soaked in cold sweat.

"Speak, why did you want to kill me?"

Su Lang swung his Tang sword and held it against the center of Teng Bao's forehead; a few hairs were cut by the blade and drifted away with the wind.

"You… are you really Su Lang?"

Teng Bao's voice was trembling so much that it was almost unintelligible.

Su Lang nodded and said, "That's right. Tell me the reason you wanted to kill me, and I can give you a quick end."

"I still don't believe… that you are Su Lang…"

Teng Bao shook his head in disbelief, then began to laugh like a madman.

"Hahaha!"

"Even if you really are Su Lang, so what?"

"Anyway, I'm going to die, so why should I tell you?"

"Hahaha, after I die, someone will definitely avenge me. The background of the Broken Axe Hunting Group is not something you can contend with!"

"You piece of trash, kill me! Come on!"

It was as if Teng Bao had overcome his fear; his eyes were blood-red as he stared fixedly at Su Lang, gritting his teeth and cursing.

"Heh, this is forcing me to use those cruel 'crafts'!"

Su Lang looked down at Teng Bao from above, "Very well, then I will grant your wish!"

After speaking, Su Lang smiled and gently made a cut on Teng Bao's face, shaving off a piece of flesh like a fish scale.

"What are you doing!?"

Although the wound was very small, Teng Bao had a feeling that something extremely ominous was about to happen.

However, Su Lang did not answer his question anymore, instead focusing all his attention on the blade.

"The craft of Lingchi… if not performed well, the target will die!"
