Chapter 273: Palace (10)

"Wangfei, these account books…" The account books were numerous and heavy, and the six servants carrying them were panting, their hands and feet trembling. However, without Su Luo's instruction, they absolutely dared not put the account books down.

Su Luo heavily snorted: "What Wangfei? Don't call me that randomly. Don't you know it could ruin someone's reputation?"

"Yes, without His Highness's command, we wouldn't dare call you that randomly," the six servants replied in unison. "But… Wangfei Niangniang, these account books…"

Su Luo was speechless. They had just agreed not to call her that randomly, and what were they calling her now?

"Move all these account books out. Whoever wants to look at them can go look. I definitely won't be looking at them," Su Luo said, waving her hand impatiently. She wasn't Prince Jin's Wangfei, so why should she manage the household's miscellaneous affairs for him?

The six servants' gazes all turned towards Ling Feng.

Ling Feng waved his hand, signaling them to leave.

The six servants bowed in unison and said to Su Luo in unison, "Respectfully obeying Wangfei's command, we shall take our leave."

Su Luo was practically about to glare.

Before she could flare up, the six servants, carrying account books that were half their height, scurried away quickly. Where was the frail, wobbly feeling from before, as if they could fall at any moment?

Su Luo couldn't help but feel speechless. Had everyone in Prince Jin's manor practiced the Lingbo Microstep? How could their escaping skills be so strong?

"Wangfei…" Ling Feng had just said a word when he was interrupted by Su Luo waving her hand.

Su Luo glared at him irritably: "What? Even you are mocking me?"

"I wouldn't dare." Although Ling Feng claimed he wouldn't dare, his expression was calm, without a trace of the humility a guard should have.

Su Luo's eyebrow twitched slightly. She glanced at Ling Feng with a half-smile and said leisurely, "Oh right, Ling Feng, do you still remember the bet we made last time?"

She didn't believe this wouldn't scare Ling Feng away.

As expected, Ling Feng's expression changed instantly. He said to Su Luo anxiously, "Miss Su Si, please enjoy yourself in the manor. I suddenly remembered that His Highness had instructed me on some urgent matters before he left, so I shall take my leave now."

"Hey, the bet last time was that–" Before Su Luo could finish speaking, Ling Feng's figure had already disappeared from the room, his speed as fast as lightning, vanishing in the blink of an eye.

Looking at Ling Feng's retreating figure as he fled in a panic, Su Luo burst out laughing.

Last time, because she urgently needed green crystals to save Nangong Liuyun, in her desperation, Ling Feng made a bet with her: if she could gather fifty green crystals, Ling Feng would become her personal guard.

The result, of course, was that she won, but this fellow Ling Feng seemed to have completely forgotten about this bet. He still maintained a straight face, doing as he pleased, coming and going freely.

Everyone in the room had fled, leaving only Su Luo.

This was Nangong Liuyun's inner study. Normally, without permission, others were not allowed inside, and only Su Luo was not subject to this restriction.

There were rows and rows of books on the bookshelves.

Feeling bored, Su Luo casually picked up a book and glanced at the cover. It turned out to be the "Primary Alchemist's Codex."

In an instant, Su Luo's eyes lit up.

She still remembered that before, in Elder Zi Huo's cave mansion, she had obtained the "Nameless Pill Recipe," which all alchemists in the world dreamed of.

This "Nameless Pill Recipe" was Elder Zi Huo's handwriting, recording his lifetime's knowledge and experience in alchemy. It also included some ancient pill recipes that had already been lost.

It was just a pity that although the "Nameless Pill Recipe" was good, it had fallen into Su Luo's hands.

Elder Zi Huo was the only Grandmaster Alchemist on the continent back then. His level was so high that people looked up to him like a high mountain, unable to even see his back.
