Chapter 29: Post-nuptial Agreement

"Are you Yang Fan?" A female voice, as melodious as a lark, appeared behind Yang Fan.

Hearing the voice, he turned around in a hurry, only to see a woman with a withered face.

Her voice was very young, and her eyes were clear, but her skin was cracked in patches, like an old person nearing the end of their lifespan.

"This… young lady, I am indeed Yang Fan." Yang Fan bowed politely.

The other party looked Yang Fan up and down carefully, then, without saying a word, turned and went upstairs.

Seeing this, Yang Fan was a bit baffled.

"Is this how the Luo Family discusses investments? So unique? Where is my contract?" Yang Fan wondered to himself.

Just as Yang Fan was puzzled, a familiar figure came downstairs.

Seeing the person arriving, Yang Fan hurriedly stood up to salute.

Yang Fan had seen this person before; it was none other than the Luo Family elder, Luo Chengfeng, who had been sitting on the high platform.

This was a true god, and now that he had requested a private meeting, how could Yang Fan dare to be negligent?

"Investment contracts are usually handled by lawyers from major families. Why did this Luo Family elder show up in person? Do they think that highly of me?" Yang Fan wondered inwardly.

Yang Fan still had self-awareness. Although he had performed well in this grand competition and even caught the eyes of major families, this did not mean he was worth the effort of an elder appearing in person to recruit him.

"Little Yang, may I call you that?" Luo Chengfeng wore a kind expression.

"As you wish, Senior." Yang Fan felt a bit flattered.

A god was standing right in front of him, yet acting so polite to him—it seemed strange no matter how he looked at it.

"Here are three contracts; you may take a look at all of them." Luo Chengfeng snapped his fingers, and three documents landed in front of Yang Fan.

Yang Fan opened the first contract. The content was similar to the terms offered by the Li Family, but the only advantage was that there were fewer restrictions; he only needed to register his name with the Luo Family, and the resources produced in his Divine Kingdom would be sold to the Luo Family at market price as a priority, with no other restrictions.

Yang Fan understood that this was likely the best contract he had seen today, and if there were no surprises, he could sign it.

Although he was puzzled as to why there were two more contracts, Yang Fan picked up the second one and opened it as usual.

A moment later, Yang Fan looked up at Luo Chengfeng in disbelief and said, "Sen… Senior, is this written correctly?"

The terms of the second contract were simply too good to be true.

A monthly subsidy of 5 million Faith Points, a year-end bonus of 30 million from the Luo Family talent fund, and as long as the contract was signed, not only would he immediately receive an initial investment of 100 million Faith Points, but there was even a B-grade building included.

Yang Fan suddenly felt like a pie had fallen from the sky. Why did it feel like the other party was grooming him like a direct descendant of the family?

"Little Yang, do you want to sign this second contract?"

"I do." Yang Fan nodded seriously.

A B-grade building had a minimum value of over 500 million, and with his current status, he didn't even have the authorization to purchase one.

"The first contract is the treatment my Luo Family can offer you under normal conditions, while the second is the treatment offered under my own arrangement. If you want the second contract, you must sign this third supplementary agreement." Luo Chengfeng pointed to the last document.

Yang Fan took a deep breath, gave the other party a suspicious look, and then opened the document.

The four large characters 'Post-nuptial Agreement' came into view.

Yang Fan looked up at Luo Chengfeng, his brain short-circuiting for a moment.

"Do I actually have the fate of a kept man relying on a rich woman?"

Luo Chengfeng sighed softly and said, "The person you just met is my granddaughter, Luo Rou. She is only two years older than you. Last year, while participating in a training assessment at university, she was ambushed by an Alien Demi-god. Now, her Divine Kingdom is filled with poisonous miasma, and she does not have long to live."

"Even with your status, you cannot heal her?" Yang Fan couldn't help but ask.

"There is no way. To be precise, the cost is too high for me to bear personally, and Luo Rou's talent is not like that of her cousin, Luo Bing; the family cannot spend such a huge cost for her."

"So, my marriage partner is Miss Luo Rou?"

"That's right. This child's parents also died in the Divine Kingdom war against the alien race. It's just her and me depending on each other for survival. Now that this has happened, before her Divine Kingdom completely collapses, this girl hopes to have a child."

"Why me?" Yang Fan pointed to his own nose.

"Although your Divine Kingdom talent is poor, your comprehension is excellent. With this investment, you have a great chance of becoming a true god in the future. This can be considered finding a good father for the future child." Luo Chengfeng said slowly.

Looking at Yang Fan in front of him, Luo Chengfeng felt rather downcast.

Ever since his granddaughter's Divine Kingdom was damaged, those former young talents had gradually drifted away. He had no choice but to find young men with good talent but low status to marry into the family. Yang Fan fit his requirements perfectly.

Yang Fan turned his gaze to the third post-nuptial agreement and studied it carefully, fearing there might be some traps.

In less than a quarter of an hour, Yang Fan finished reading it.

Although it was called a post-nuptial agreement, it did not restrict the married life between Yang Fan and Luo Rou; instead, it was more like a property division agreement.

As for the content, it had nothing to do with the girl named Luo Rou, but rather the division of property between their future child and him, the father.

The core of it only had two points: first, the child born must have the surname Luo.

Perhaps fearing that Yang Fan would misunderstand, they had even added a specific annotation explaining that only in this way could the child become a member of the Luo Family and enjoy the resources and training of the Luo Family.

The second was that after Luo Rou died, two-thirds of the inheritance in her Divine Kingdom would be inherited by the child, and the remaining one-third would be transferred to Yang Fan.

As for the restrictions on Yang Fan, they were basically non-existent; the only requirement was to have a child within five years.

The agreement even thoughtfully added a supplement: if the male had fertility problems, the two could also pair up through genetic engineering.

After reading the whole thing, Yang Fan felt that it would be unforgivable by heaven to refuse.

Yang Fan took a deep breath and said slowly, "Senior, I don't seem to have any reason to refuse."

"Good. Since that is the case, I will arrange for a moving company to bring your parents to the Yang City villa area in a while. In the future, Rou'er will live with you all. You must not let her be wronged."

"Before that, may I meet Miss Luo Rou alone?" Yang Fan hurriedly interrupted.

"Of course you can. She has not left the Virtual World and is currently upstairs. Keep these two contracts; they will automatically take effect once you sign your name. You young people chat; this old man has things to do, so I will leave first." Luo Chengfeng smiled slightly and exited the Virtual World directly.

In the era of the Divine Kingdom, resources could buy everything. Let alone a Divine Creature like Yang Fan, if there was a sufficient dowry, one could even marry a god and bring them home.

It was just a contract marriage, and being able to pick up such a huge benefit for nothing, Yang Fan certainly would not let this great opportunity slip away.

Arriving on the second floor, Luo Rou was currently applying makeup in front of the mirror. Thick powder on her face made her complexion look much better.

"Did you finish talking with my grandfather?" Luo Rou asked, with her back to Yang Fan.

"It's settled. I can sign at any time." Yang Fan nodded.

Luo Rou turned around: "Then should I call you husband now?"

Hearing this, Yang Fan's face flushed slightly: "We are both young people, there's no need for that."

This was not a one-night stand in the Heavenly Fragrance World. Once he signed, the two of them would be in a marriage relationship stipulated by federal law, and even a community of interests that transcended their parents.
