Chapter 30: Enrollment (Part I)
"Done, Lin Fan, you can continue."
Lin Fan continued to place Alliance coins into his backpack, his speed increasing steadily. Yet, no matter what, the backpack just wouldn't fill up.
A few minutes later, "Beep…" a long, mournful sound emanated from the surrounding ATMs; all the money had been taken by Lin Fan.
"Xiao Du, take a look and see roughly how much money we have now."
In a room filled with pink tones, cartoon posters, and plush toys—a cozy and dreamy space.
Xiao Du looked at the Alliance coins neatly stacked in the corner. "I'd estimate a little over two cubic meters, probably around two hundred million."
"Xiao Du, you've really helped me a lot this time."
"No problem at all. I'm going back to sleep."
Xiao Du yawned, then lay down in her little pink nest and went back to sleep.
Lin Fan patted Karl on the shoulder: "Let's go, next stop: the Principal's office."
Lin Fan and Karl took the cash and drove toward the private residence of the Galactic Federation University principal.
Although the principal's office was the public meeting place, the real business was conducted at his luxurious villa in the suburbs.
The starfire c9 drove through the lush, green paths of the suburbs and stopped in front of a luxurious villa.
At the villa gate, two bodyguards in black uniforms blocked their path.
"Who are you? Who are you looking for?" one of them asked in a cold tone.
Lin Fan stepped out of the driver's seat, a poised and confident smile on his face: "Tell your principal that I'm here to deliver some 'research funding'."
After saying this, he patted the backpack he was carrying.
The bodyguards exchanged glances, and one of them picked up his headset to speak in a low voice.
Shortly after, the gate slowly opened, and the bodyguards stepped aside to let them pass.
"Go on in, the principal is waiting for you."
Lin Fan and Karl walked into the villa.
In the living room, the principal of Galactic Federation University was sitting leisurely on a leather sofa, holding a glass of red wine, seemingly not at all surprised by their arrival.
The principal was a man in his fifties; his slightly plump frame paired with a well-tailored suit made him look shrewd and worldly.
He looked up, revealing a meaningful smile: "Young man, I heard you want to sponsor our university? That is truly surprising."
Lin Fan sat down calmly, placed the bag full of cash on the coffee table, and unzipped it, revealing bundles of neatly stacked banknotes.
"Principal, this is just a small token of my appreciation. I want a spot—the status of a general student at Galactic Federation University—to make it easier for me to participate in research projects."
Lin Fan's tone was composed, seemingly unbothered by the principal's scrutinizing gaze.
The principal's gaze lingered on the cash for a moment, then he set down his wine glass and tapped the armrest of the sofa lightly with his hand:
"Directly offering money is quite rare; you've piqued my interest. However, can you tell me what your purpose is?"
Lin Fan chuckled, his gaze sharp: "Principal, you're a smart man; some things don't need to be stated explicitly. As long as I can become a student, there will be plenty of benefits for you."
The principal stared at Lin Fan, pondered for a moment, and then nodded:
"Very well, I like straightforward people. This is your admission permit; come to the academy to register tomorrow."
He pushed an exquisite card toward Lin Fan, which was imprinted with the emblem of Galactic Federation University.
As he spoke, he pushed a beautiful card bearing the Galactic Federation University logo toward Lin Fan.
"However, let me give you a word of advice: the waters at Galactic Federation University are very deep. Young man, you'd best not stir up trouble."
"Thank you for the warning, Principal." Lin Fan put the card away casually.
After the transaction was completed, the two did not linger and rose to leave.
As they walked out of the villa, Karl lowered his voice and asked: "Do you think he suspects anything?"
Lin Fan offered a faint smile: "A man like him, since he's taken the money, won't dig for the truth. Now, our plan can proceed."
The two got into the car, and the engine roar of the starfire c9 pierced the silence, quickly vanishing into the night.
They drove back to Star-Moon Manor, the starfire c9 shimmering with a dazzling metallic luster under the lights.
The three buildings still maintained an air of luxury and mystery, revealing a sense of solemnity amidst the quiet.
Lin Fan got out of the car slowly and tossed the car keys to Karl, "Karl, get some good rest. Tomorrow, you'll play the role of my driver and come pick me up on time."
Karl took the keys, nodded, and replied: "Understood." He then walked toward the side building.
Lin Fan walked toward the main building, making his way up to the private exclusive area on the third floor.
Just as he arrived at the door, he saw Yin Miaoxue, Princess Hu Qinlan, and Princess Jin Xuan already standing there, seemingly having waited for a long time.
Yin Miaoxue spoke first, her tone slightly eager: "How did it go? Is it done?"
Lin Fan didn't say much, directly sharing the data he had downloaded at noon to the three women's quantum phones: "See for yourselves."
The three looked down to check; soon, various data and videos appeared before their eyes.
Yin Miaoxue's originally cold and elegant expression suddenly became complicated. Her delicate brows furrowed slightly, and a flush appeared on her cheeks: "These… are truly speechless. I never imagined that the prestigious Galactic Federation University would be this chaotic."
Princess Hu Qinlan covered her mouth, her tone filled with shock and shyness: "Th-this is too exaggerated… I originally thought the academy was a place for seeking knowledge, but instead…"
After watching, Princess Jin Xuan teased, "The women in these videos are all beautiful campus belles. I suppose it was worth it."
Lin Fan crossed his arms and leaned against the door frame, with a hint of helplessness and teasing: "Yeah, I originally thought I was going to steal top-secret intelligence, but it turned out I became a collector of adult films."
The three women had originally been feeling slightly self-reproachful, wondering if their infatuation with Lin Fan made them seem less dignified or serious.
But now, seeing the absurdity and chaos inside this prestigious school, they couldn't help but feel much more relieved.
By comparison, their feelings for Lin Fan seemed much purer and more natural.
Yin Miaoxue lifted her eyes to look at Lin Fan, her voice carrying a touch of tenderness and anticipation: "Brother Fan, come to my room tonight. Let's talk."
Before Lin Fan could speak, Princess Hu Qinlan said hurriedly: "Don't go to hers, Brother Fan, come to my room. I still have some things I want to discuss with you."
Princess Jin Xuan, standing to the side, hadn't spoken, but her gaze already said everything—it was a look filled with hope and longing, seemingly waiting quietly for Lin Fan's response.
Lin Fan swept his gaze over them, feeling both helpless and warmed, but he still waved his hand: "I've been running around too much today; I think I'll just go back to my own room to rest."
Upon hearing this, though slightly disappointed, they didn't insist further. They could only murmur "Alright" and then returned to their respective rooms.
Star-Moon Manor, shrouded in the night, remained tranquil, with only the lights upstairs flickering, seemingly telling the story of the complex emotions within each of them.
After Lin Fan returned to his room, he ate a simple dinner, finished washing up, and then leaned against the bed to read for a while.
As the night grew darker, he set the book aside, turned off the light, and soon fell into a deep sleep.
In the middle of the night, while his consciousness was still between dreaming and waking, he suddenly felt a soft, warm, delicate body quietly slide into his bed.
A sweet, natural fragrance filled his nostrils; his heart stirred, and he instantly understood who had come.
Princess Hu Qinlan, that girl who was usually as gentle as water, always carried an air of softness like a spring breeze.
She loved wearing a jade-green dress, her slender waist could be encircled by a single hand, and her every movement displayed elegance and grace.
Whenever she spoke with others, her voice was always soft and gentle, with a faint smile on her face that made people feel relaxed unconsciously.
But at this moment, she had completely shed her usual reserve and quietude.
She snuggled softly into Lin Fan's arms, her two soft, firm breasts pressed tightly against his chest, the smooth, delicate sensation causing strange ripples to stir in Lin Fan's heart.
Lin Fan kept his eyes closed, pretending to sleep, but he felt Princess Hu Qinlan's slightly trembling hands restlessly wrap around his waist, her cheek pressed against his chest, rubbing gently.
