Chapter 329 Great Wizard

The Big Beard shouted, “Chief, this is a completely new virus, never seen before. We need time to cure it.”

“Enough, you foolish fellow, stop trying to spread your heresy.” The Great Wizard said, “This is not some so-called virus at all, but rather you have angered the Wizard God.

Today, we must offer a sacrifice to the Wizard God, otherwise the entire Zuma Tribe will perish because of your foolishness.”

“Ignorance, you are truly too ignorant. You must believe in science…”

Big Beard was about to say more, but Galincha had no interest in listening further. He waved his hand at several subordinates beside him, “Tie them up first, and kill them after the sacrifice.”

The Big Beard shouted, “You can’t do this, this violates human rights, this is illegal…”

But no one cared about their words. Immediately, more than a dozen tribal warriors rushed up, tied the few people up tightly, and stuffed their mouths shut.

On the altar, Alice saw everything clearly, a flash of despair in her eyes. It seemed she was truly going to die today.

The Great Wizard spoke loudly to the crowd below the stage, “The sacrifice begins. Everyone, please pray and ask the Wizard God to bless the people of our Zuma Tribe.”

After speaking, he waved his hand, and immediately more than a dozen tribesmen rushed onto the altar, first pouring oil on the firewood, then lighting it with torches.

Cao Xiaowan looked at the east in the night sky, tears streaming down her face uncontrollably. She once had such a happy life, but she chose a path of no return.

Suddenly, a Chinese saying popped into her mind: ‘No zuo no die.’

At the same time, a strange hatred arose in her heart, all because of those damned radical feminists.

They incited her, they talked nonsense, they boasted about how excellent foreign men were, and how round the moon was abroad, ultimately ruining her life.

But she could not stop any of what was happening before her eyes; she could only silently await the arrival of death.

After preparing, the Great Wizard once again shouted to his subordinates, “Light the fire, sacrifice!”

Several prepared tribesmen holding torches walked towards Alice and Cao Xiaowan. The order of the sacrifice was to light from the middle and then proceed outwards to both sides.

Seeing the torch about to ignite the firewood at her feet, Alice’s eyes were filled with unwillingness.

She was once a medical Genius and a beautiful young woman, the best doctor in the world, who ascended to the presidency of the World Medical Association at a young age.

She never thought that she

would one day die at the hands of these ignorant people, and be burned alive by the very patients she tried to cure.

Seeing the torch getting closer and closer, she slowly closed her beautiful big eyes. All her dreams, farewell! Her Prince Charming, farewell!

“Stop!”

Just then, a loud shout came, and two dark figures rapidly jumped onto the altar, snatching the torches from the hands of those people and extinguishing them instantly.

The ones who arrived were naturally Ye Bufan and He Shuangshuang. They rushed here quickly, not involving Henry and the others, but instead, the two of them went onto the altar.

Seeing the sacrifice ceremony interrupted, there was an uproar below the stage, and the people of the Zuma Tribe roared in anger.

Galincha shot up from his throne and angrily shouted at the stage, “Who are you? How dare you interrupt our sacrifice? Are you not afraid of the Wizard God’s wrath?”

Ye Bufan said, “Chief, I am a doctor from China. There is no wrath of the Wizard God here at all, and there is no need to sacrifice living people. Instead, your tribesmen have contracted an unknown virus.

I can assure you, as long as you give me time, I will completely cure the virus here.”

Alice opened her eyes and saw a handsome Chinese Young man standing before her. At this moment, he spoke with righteous indignation, appearing even taller and more dashing under the firelight.

“Who is this person? Did he save me? Could he be the Prince Charming sent by God? Is my Prince Charming an Oriental?”

Cao Xiaowan felt the voice speaking was somewhat familiar. She looked down and was surprised to find that the person who arrived was Ye Bufan.

She used to dislike this man very much, especially after he injured Kanu, she thought he was the most annoying man in the world.

But at this moment, seeing Ye Bufan, she felt as if she had seen the closest person in the world, as if she had seen her savior. Her mood instantly became incredibly excited, and large drops of tears could not help but roll down.

“Nonsense, you are the devil who angered the God.”

The Great Wizard turned his head and said to Galincha again, “Chief, this kind of person is a devil sent to disrupt the sacrifice, and must be executed publicly, otherwise the Wizard God will surely bring disaster upon our Zuma Tribe.”

Galincha waved his hand at the warriors beside him: “Kill them for me!”

“Yes!”

The tribal warriors responded, raising their great swords and long spears, and rushed onto the altar. Nearly a hundred people rushed up, instantly filling the entire altar.

Ye Bufan did not hesitate at all. He shielded He Shuangshuang behind him and rushed towards these people.

He came to save people this time and did not want to get into an irreconcilable conflict with the Zuma Tribe, so he did not kill, but used the technique of acupoint striking.

Wherever he passed, those warriors were all fixed there, motionless like stone statues.

In the blink of an eye, nearly a hundred warriors of the Zuma Tribe were all fixed there, and the scene was silent.

The crowd below was all bewildered, wondering how this Chinese man did it, to make their bravest warriors motionless.

The Great Wizard’s black robe trembled slightly, and he spoke again in a hoarse voice, “Chief, you see, this is the person sent by the devil. He sucked all the vital essence from our warriors.”

A trace of panic flashed across Galincha’s face. Although he was the chief of the tribe, he still had an instinctive fear of the unknown.

“Great Wizard, what do you say we should do?”

“Kill him, of course, kill him! We must send more warriors. We must not let him leave here, otherwise the Wizard God will surely be enraged, and our Zuma Tribe will be completely destroyed.”

Galincha waved his hand behind him: “Did everyone hear? We must eliminate this demon!”

Ye Bufan frowned. Although he was powerful, he could not oppose the entire tribe, and he also had to protect those behind him.

He shouted loudly to the crowd below, “Chief, I am just a doctor from China, not some demon.”

The Great Wizard shouted, “You devil, do you still want to deceive us now? You have disrupted the Wizard God’s sacrifice; you only have death today.”

After speaking, he shouted to the warriors who had already gathered below the stage, “Rush up and kill him, my brave warriors! The Wizard God will bless you.”

Hearing his words, those warriors were immediately agitated, waving their weapons and about to rush onto the altar.

“Wait a moment.”

Ye Bufan’s loud shout used his internal Qi, immediately shocking these warriors. Then he said to the Great Wizard, “You are the Great Wizard of the tribe, right? I am now challenging you!”

On the way here, he had learned about the customs of the Zuma Tribe from Henry. The tribal people held the Great Wizard in great respect, but they also believed that only the strongest person was qualified to be their Great Wizard.

Therefore, there was an unwritten rule here: anyone could challenge the Great Wizard at any time, and the Great Wizard must accept the challenge to defend his dignity.
