Chapter 33: Truly Smart Enough
"What a foolish Prince." Su Luo was high-spirited, her eyes shining like stars, as she retorted without politeness.
The insufferable Prince Jin in the eyes of others was but a paper tiger before her. Facing him, she never knew the meaning of showing mercy; after all, who told him to be so slanderous?
"Since you understand it yourself, then this Prince can rest easy." Nangong Liuyun stroked her head, a hint of a half-smile shimmering in his eyes.
He was truly worried that this girl wouldn't be able to contain her excitement and would tell Su Zian about this.
After all, he knew very well what kind of person Su Zian was.
Fortunately, despite being bullied for so many years, Girl Su was neither self-abased nor cowardly. Instead, she remained indifferent to favor or humiliation, calm and composed, as if she wouldn't even blink if Mount Tai collapsed before her.
Such a Heart-Nature shouldn't belong to a fifteen-year-old girl at all, yet she managed it.
As expected of the girl he, Nangong Liuyun, had set his sights on; she was indeed smart enough.
Nangong Liuyun nodded, feeling quite comforted.
"There's no time like the present. Since we've decided to steal the heavenly spirit water, why wait for another day? Let's do it today, alright?" Su Luo had a faint smile on her face as she looked at Nangong Liuyun beamingly. Her eyes were lively and moving, exceptionally lovely.
She tilted her palm-sized face and gazed seriously at Nangong Liuyun. Her beautiful eyes were shimmering, and her lips were like vermilion, indescribably alluring.
Facing this alluring and cute little face, Nangong Liuyun found himself completely unable to say no. He closed his folding fan and tapped it on the table. "Fine, you have the final say."
In his eyes, the Su Residence was not an impenetrable fortress. The strongest existence in the entire Su Residence was the guardian of the Treasure Pavilion, who was merely a sixth rank expert.
And he was already at the sixth rank now. The two were evenly matched, and neither could do anything to the other.
Thus, after they finished their discussion, the two of them made some preparations.
They put on pitch-black night-traveling clothes, tucked their hair into black cloth wraps, and even covered their faces with a layer of black cloth.
Her entire body was shrouded in black, with only a pair of fresh, lively, and shimmering beautiful eyes exposed.
Just as they were about to head out, a faint smile suddenly curled at the corner of Su Luo's mouth, and a sinister and cunning look flashed through her eyes.
She pulled out that Purple Fish Jade Pendant from under her pillow, her thin eyebrows arching in excitement. Then, she tucked the jade pendant into her bosom and winked at Nangong Liuyun. "Let's go."
This jade pendant belonged to Su Jingyu. If it were 'accidentally' dropped in the Treasure Pavilion… Oh my, just thinking about it made one's blood boil with excitement!
Even if she didn't get anything this trip, just this jade pendant alone would make it worth her while.
She wanted to make her selfish father half-dead with rage. Who told him to be so cold and heartless?
She was going to frame Su Jingyu for this. Who told him to bully her and even frame her before?
Since he had started it, she wouldn't hesitate to give him a taste of his own medicine.
Nangong Liuyun looked at the excitement dancing in the girl's eyes, a smile flashing in his own.
Although he couldn't guess what she wanted to do for the moment, he knew she was very playful. He wondered who would be the unlucky one this time.
It seemed that pursuing this girl would take a lot of effort.
Indeed, a girl who was too smart wasn't easy to trick. Nangong Liuyun felt like beating his chest in frustration.
But in the end, this girl would eventually end up in his bed. If he couldn't catch her, he'd trick her; if he couldn't trick her, he'd keep chasing… Anyway, he had plenty of time, and he would spend it all on her…
