Chapter 351 Bauhinia Island 3

The two sat on the stone wall of the broken cliff, their legs dangling in the air. A gentle breeze swept past, lifting their ink-black hair, creating a uniquely lazy and leisurely atmosphere.

Nangong Liuyun took out a set of tools, helped Su Luo set up the fishing rod, and taught her hand-in-hand how to fish for Purple Thorns Fish.

After teaching Su Luo, he sat very close to her and began to fish.

Su Luo watched the fishing rod with great interest.

The fishing rod had a very peculiar shape; the dark rod gleamed faintly, emitting spiritual energy. It was worlds apart from the fishing rods in her previous life.

Fishing wasn't just about holding the rod; one had to inject spiritual energy into it, carefully sense the conditions at the bottom of the sea, and slowly lure the Purple Thorns Fish to bite.

Su Luo was initially very interested, focusing intently on injecting spiritual energy and sensing the underwater world. However, after more than half an hour passed without even a glimpse of a Purple Thorns Fish, she began to lose interest.

Bored, she propped her chin on her hands and idly glanced around.

No wonder Anye Ming and Lan Xuan were so adamant about not wanting the Purple Thorns Fish she caught; they must have known all along that she wouldn't be able to catch any.

Yet, in just over half an hour, Nangong Liuyun had already caught five, Anye Ming had caught three, ranking second, and both Lan Xuan and Beichen Ying had caught two. Only she, let alone a fish, hadn't even touched a single scale. How embarrassing!

"Sigh." Su Luo began complaining boredly to the Little Divine Dragon in her mind, "So embarrassing, so embarrassing, so embarrassing…"

The Little Divine Dragon thought for a moment, letting out little 'awoo awoo' sounds, then suddenly extended its little paw and pointed at the clear spiritual spring, which was the legendary Heaven Spirit Water.

"You mean I can catch Purple Thorns Fish using Heaven Spirit Water?" Su Luo found it a little hard to believe.

The Little Divine Dragon opened its clear big eyes, nodded obediently, and stammered, "Fish… fish… food… food…"

Afraid it couldn't express itself clearly while learning to speak, the Little Divine Dragon simply flapped its paws and mimicked a fish getting hooked.

That funny and adorable little gesture made Su Luo burst into laughter.

"What's wrong? You can't catch anything, yet you're so happy?" Nangong Liuyun had previously worried that this girl would be frustrated about not catching any Purple Thorns Fish, but he hadn't expected her mindset to be so good, so capable of entertaining herself.

"Can't catch fish? Hmph, hmph, you'll all be in for a big surprise." Su Luo raised an eyebrow and smugly snorted at him.

With the Little Divine Dragon's help, she refused to believe she couldn't catch Purple Thorns Fish. If she still couldn't catch any, she'd just put the Little Divine Dragon down there as bait.

While no one was paying attention, Su Luo quietly took out a few drops of Heaven Spirit Water and secretly mixed them into the special fish bait.

The fish bait was originally jade green, kneaded into small dough balls, from which a tiny bit was taken for the hook. Su Luo added a little Heaven Spirit Water, which only made the bait slightly wetter; otherwise, no difference was visible.

This fish bait was said to have been personally prepared by Nangong Liuyun; the materials alone were extremely expensive, costing tens of thousands of gold coins to produce.

Su Luo added the Heaven Spirit Water to the bait, mixed it thoroughly again, pinched off a tiny ball, and placed it on the hook, her face filled with hope and anticipation.

Whether she could catch a Purple Thorns Fish depended on this one move.

Seeing this, Nangong Liuyun couldn't help but chuckle in amusement, "Who fishes like that? The bait is bigger than a Purple Thorns Fish's mouth, how could you possibly catch anything?"

However, before the smile could fade from Nangong Liuyun's lips, the hook Su Luo had just cast twitched slightly.
