Chapter 373: Purchasing Large Quantities of spirit plants

Having won the Red Flame Grass, Qin Ming was quite happy. He looked forward to the upcoming auctions, hoping to gather all the spirit plants needed for the heart mending pill.

Unfortunately, no more spirit plants required for the heart mending pill appeared until the end. However, several seventh-grade spirit plants did show up, which Qin Ming immediately swept up.

The perfect spirit refining pill that Qin Ming had consigned for auction eventually sold for five hundred and eighty thousand High-Grade Spirit Stones.

Qin Ming shook his head and, led by a maid, arrived at the appraiser Zhang Qinghong's room.

"Green Cliff Elder, this is your Three-Star Gold Medal. Please place a drop of blood on it," Zhang Qinghong said, handing a golden plate to Qin Ming.

Qin Ming happily took the plate and dripped a drop of blood onto it. He had thought he would need to conduct a few more transactions to obtain the Three-Star Token, but he hadn't expected to get it so easily. It was likely due to his status as a Pill King, or perhaps because the perfect elixir he provided was too rare.

"I didn't see any sixth-grade spirit plants at the Treasure Auction Arena. Why is that?" Qin Ming asked. If there were many sixth-grade spirit plants, they would certainly be qualified to be auctioned at the Treasure Auction Arena. Throughout the entire auction, Qin Ming had intended to collect some sixth-grade spirit plants, but he hadn't seen a single one.

One must know that the previous auction featured over two hundred items, and not a single sixth-grade spirit plant appeared in those two hundred-plus rounds, which was somewhat strange.

After all, weapons, Medicinal Pills, and spirit plants were the most common items.

Zhang Qinghong smiled and said, "Generally, the price of sixth-grade spirit plants is fixed, so we just purchase them directly. Even if they were put in the auction arena, they wouldn't fetch a higher price; instead, it would just be a waste of time."

Qin Ming nodded. Indeed, sixth-grade spirit plants did not fall into the category of high-tier spirit plants and were generally used for Alchemy. Therefore, the Five Great Families of Yan City must be dealing in these spirit plants, so there was no need to bring them to the auction arena.

seventh-grade spirit plants were different. Besides being used for Alchemy, they were often consumed directly, making their prices unpredictable. Unlike sixth-grade spirit plants, where specific plants were used for specific pills, prices could be set directly based on the pill's value and the difficulty of refinement.

"I want some sixth-grade spirit plants. Does your Auction House have any for sale?" Qin Ming asked.

"Yes," Zhang Qinghong confirmed. "Our Auction House has most sixth-grade spirit plants. You can buy them directly."

Qin Ming said happily, "Then give me one hundred sets of Spirit Tempering Pill spirit plants and one thousand sets of spirit gathering pill spirit plants."

"So many?" Zhang Qinghong said in surprise. "These spirit plants could last for ten years of refinement. You want so many at once?"

It was no wonder Zhang Qinghong was surprised; he had no idea how abnormal Qin Ming was.

Other Pill King Alchemists usually took a long time to prepare for refining a batch of sixth-grade pills. They needed to adjust their state of mind, bathe, change clothes, and so on, starting the refinement only after completing a series of preparations.

Furthermore, refining sixth-grade pills was not that simple; it required the Alchemist's prolonged and full concentration. Most Alchemists would be exhausted after refining one batch of sixth-grade pills and would need to rest for a long time.

"The Auction House doesn't have that many?" Qin Ming asked.

"We do." Zhang Qinghong gave Qin Ming a curious look and shouted toward the door, "Zhang Fu."

"Master." A Middle-aged Man pushed open the door and walked in.

"Go and get one hundred sets of Spirit Tempering Pill spirit plants and one thousand sets of spirit gathering pill spirit plants."

"Yes." The Middle-aged Man took the order and left.

"Could it be that Your Excellency is pushing for the Pill Emperor Realm?" Zhang Qinghong smiled.

Qin Ming nodded. "Indeed, I've had some insights recently and want to give it a try."

Qin Ming guessed that Zhang Qinghong probably knew he had been aggressively buying seventh-grade spirit plants at the auction, and now seeing him buy large quantities of sixth-grade and fifth-grade spirit plants, he likely thought Qin Ming was going to refine pills desperately to find inspiration.

"Impressive!" Zhang Qinghong gave a thumbs up. "Then I'll congratulate you in advance on becoming a Pill Emperor."

"Thank you," Qin Ming said calmly. "Besides being able to buy sixth-grade spirit plants directly, what else can be purchased at the Auction House?"

"There are many things that can be bought at the Auction House: spirit plants, Ore, and so on. As long as it hasn't reached the treasure level, you can basically buy it. Besides these, you can also issue commissions," Zhang Qinghong said. "You also know that the Yan City Auction House is jointly managed by the Five Great Families of Yan City. Therefore, a commission issued at the Yan City Auction House is equivalent to commissioning the Five Great Families of Yan City.

You should be aware of the strength of the Five Great Families! As long as the price is right, there's nothing they can't handle."

Qin Ming smiled. Anything could be handled? Not necessarily. The Five Great Families only had five Martial Venerables. There were some things that even a Martial Saint couldn't handle, let alone a Martial Venerable.

"Master, the items are here." The Middle-aged Man, Zhang Fu, pushed the door open, handed a ring to Zhang Qinghong, and then left the room.

Zhang Qinghong nodded and tossed the ring to Qin Ming. "The items are inside. Count them."

Qin Ming took the ring and swept it with his Mental Energy. The items inside appeared in his mind. "Not bad, exactly right. How many Spirit Stones?"

"A set of fifth-grade spirit refining pill spirit plants is two hundred High-Grade Spirit Stones, and a set of sixth-grade Spirit Tempering Pill spirit plants is three thousand High-Grade Spirit Stones. That's a total of five hundred thousand High-Grade Spirit Stones," Zhang Qinghong said, stroking his beard.

Qin Ming handed over the gold medal. Zhang Qinghong took out a device, did something with it, and quickly returned it to Qin Ming.

"I've deducted it. You can check."

"How do I check?" Qin Ming asked.

Zhang Qinghong stroked his beard and said, "You can check at the service hall on the first floor. You should see it when you enter through the main gate."

"Alright." Qin Ming nodded and left.
