Chapter 38: Monkey Wine

Arriving in the Ten Thousand Mountains Forest, Su Yu concealed his aura. No, it should be said that he made his aura indistinguishable from the Yao Race.

Even if he were seen, he would be mistaken for a member of the Yao Race.

After all, his Breath Concealing Art had reached a very high Realm, and achieving this was effortless.

Last time he inadvertently passed by here, he discovered this Monkey Wine. He took some back, which infuriated that group of monkeys.

He had come again this time; he really felt a bit embarrassed.

Su Yu followed his memory to the place where he had previously taken the Monkey Wine.

From the top of a tree, Su Yu looked ahead; everything was the same. The cultivation of these monkeys was not high, so they only lived on the outskirts of the Ten Thousand Mountains Forest. Their leader was only equivalent to the early stage of Foundation Establishment.

Su Yu looked at the place ahead where they stored the Monkey Wine; two monkeys were stationed there to guard it. Last time he came, there were no guards, so he hadn't expected them to assign two monkeys to guard it this time.

However, Su Yu noticed that one of them looked like he was about to fall asleep while guarding. At this moment, Su Yu saw one of them raise his hand and strike the other monkey.

"Stop sleeping. If the King finds out, I'll be in trouble too."

"Ah, nothing has happened for several years. No one ever comes to steal this Monkey Wine."

"I think the King just misremembered. He drank too much when he was drinking, and then claimed someone stole his Monkey Wine."

The other one quickly covered his mouth.

"How can you dare to say anything? If others hear it and it reaches the King's ears, we'll be finished."

"Don't be afraid. How could anyone possibly hear us?"

"Besides, we are famous in this area. Average Yao Race members wouldn't drink this Monkey Wine. It's the Human Race who likes to drink it."

"But how could anyone from the Human Race come all the way here just to steal wine to drink?"

Su Yu, listening from the tree, felt ashamed.

"Furthermore, it's for offering to some transformed Yao Kings, but those Yao Kings wouldn't deign to come and steal our Monkey Wine."

"They are very arrogant; our King is eager to curry favor and give it to them before they even ask."

"That's why I said that."

The other monkey heard this and said, "What you said makes sense."

"Right?"

"But we should just keep this to ourselves. Otherwise, if the King finds out and throws us into the fray to fight for resources with other Yao Race members, it won't be good."

"This job is quite good; at least there's no risk of losing our lives."

"Alright, cheer up."

After hearing this, Su Yu felt embarrassed. "Monkey Brother, I've come to take wine again."

At this moment, Su Yu instantly arrived at the place where the Monkey Wine was stored. The two monkeys outside had no idea he had already gotten inside.

Su Yu looked at the tree hollow in front of him, filled with Monkey Wine. This was a great harvest! Last time he came, there wasn't this much; he hadn't expected there to be so much this time.

He wouldn't take too much, just half. Su Yu took out the Wine Immortal Gourd and proceeded to fill it up with the Monkey Wine.

Soon, half was gone. That was enough; if he took any more, he would feel embarrassed. If they stopped brewing wine, he would be the one suffering for lack of it.

At this point, Su Yu took out some resources he felt they could use and placed them nearby, treating it as an equivalent exchange.

Afterward, Su Yu left.

Not long after, the Monkey King brought his people to the cave where the Monkey Wine was brewed.

He said to the two monkeys guarding it:

"Did you watch the door well? Did you guard our Monkey Wine properly? Some guests from the Wolf Race have arrived, and I need to take some wine to entertain them."

"Rest assured, King. With the two of us guarding the gate, not even a fly could fly in."

"Leave it to us, King; we've guarded it clearly and thoroughly."

"That's good. Actually, I think highly of you two; you haven't made any mistakes in the past few years."

"Not at all, it's all thanks to your leadership, King."

"Good, good, good. When I finish taking the wine, I will reward you with some treasures, considering you've guarded it well."

"Open the door."

"Very well, please come in, King."

The two opened the guarded door, and the Monkey King led them into the tree hollow.

The Monkey King arrived at the place where the Monkey Wine was stored and saw that half of it was missing. His heart instantly turned cold. What was going on? How could half of the Monkey Wine be gone?

"You two, go bring those two 'Monkey Brothers' outside in here. Let's see how they've been guarding it."

The two quickly ran up to call the two guards down; they couldn't bear it if the King lost his temper.

Soon, the two brought the guards down. The two guards thought the King had called them down to praise them for their good guarding.

Arriving before the Monkey King, they saw that the Monkey King's expression didn't seem right; his face was almost redder than a monkey's butt. They looked at the place where the Monkey Wine was stored and discovered that half of it was missing.

They knew they were done for; they were going to be sent to fight for territory.

"Didn't you two say no one came in? Open your monkey eyes and look at what's going on. Give me an explanation."

"King, we really don't know what happened. When we went in to check this morning, everything was fine. How could it suddenly be gone?"

At this moment, the two saw something on the ground next to the Monkey Wine.

"Look, King, there's something down there."

The Monkey King stepped forward to check and discovered some resources that were useful to them. He could sense the aura of a Flood Dragon on them.

This scared him out of his wits. Although this Flood Dragon was not a True Dragon, it was still a being that could easily dominate a region. It was not someone they could afford to provoke right now.

That's right, these resources were what Su Yu had obtained from the Flood Dragon's nest. They were useless to him, so it was better to use them to trade for wine.

The Monkey King looked at these treasures; they were much better than their Monkey Wine. It seemed a Yao King had come in and taken a fancy to their Monkey Wine.

And it was a being of the Flood Dragon level. If one could just meet it and build some sort of connection, that would be great, but it was a pity.

"Alright, I won't blame you. If this Yao King forcibly entered, there was nothing we could do."

"If this Yao King likes it, we'll brew more next time. Perhaps if he's happy, he will reward us with some more treasures."

Su Yu was obviously not paying attention to what was happening here. He had already searched for almost all the wine-brewing Materials he wanted here. Just as he said, no one could discover him, and he was preparing to return to the Sect.

Just as he was preparing to return to the Sect, he saw someone he didn't expect to see on the outskirts of the Ten Thousand Mountains Forest. Leng Jiahang—why did he come here alone? He still had an impression of this Disciple. Su Yu watched for a while.

He discovered that every time he killed a Yao Beast, he would take out a pot, and that pot would suck the Yao Beast in.

Su Yu also understood; it seemed this was the Opportunity for this kid, but he didn't intend to interfere. As for what that pot actually did, he didn't really want to know.

The stronger the people of the Profound Heaven Sect were, the better it was for him to slack off. He turned into a long rainbow and returned home.

Over here, Leng Jiahang looked at the dead Yao Beast in front of him, unaware that someone had just been watching him. Finally, he had taken care of another Yao Beast.

He had to go back first. If he remembered correctly, in a few days, some people from other regions would arrive in the Southern Region.
