Chapter 411: The Fake Piano Prince
“That’s not it,” Ye Bufan said after some thought. “I’m your teacher now, and as the saying goes, ‘a teacher for a day is a father for life.’ It’s not appropriate for us to talk about this.”
He spoke with a smile, trying to make the topic lighter.
Yu Wanlu sighed, “If only I had a father like you.”
Ye Bufan asked, “What? Is your father not good to you?”
Yu Wanlu said with a dejected expression, “My mother passed away early. As far back as I can remember, it was just my father raising me.
Later, he handed me over to my grandparents. Many times, I wouldn’t see him for a whole year. Would you say that’s good or not?”
“Oh!”
Ye Bufan nodded, saying nothing. He knew Yu Haichun’s situation but found it inconvenient to tell Yu Wanlu.
“Back then, I was very rebellious. Because I couldn’t see my father, I refused to study, and my grades were always very poor, hoping to get his attention this way.
But I was disappointed. I still wouldn’t see him for one or two years at a time.
Later, my grandparents passed away one after another. I had no relatives left here, and I suddenly wanted to study hard, get into a university abroad, and leave this place that made me sad.”
Ye Bufan asked, “Is that why you came to this school?”
Yu Wanlu nodded. “I hate my father. I want him to never find me and see if he’s sad.”
Ye Bufan hesitated for a moment, then said, “Actually, your father loves you very much. It’s just due to some special reasons that he can’t stay by your side.”
“You’re not my father, how would you know? Teacher Ye, please don’t comfort me.”
Ye Bufan thought for a moment. He knew that Yu Haichun, due to disciplinary reasons, couldn't tell his daughter about his profession.
But he didn't want Yu Wanlu to live unhappily because of this, nor did he want Yu Haichun to lose his only daughter while making sacrifices.
After a moment of hesitation, he finally decided to tell Yu Wanlu the truth.
“Do you know why I came to this school?”
Yu Wanlu shook her head. “When I saw you in the classroom, I was really surprised. I had originally planned to look for you.”
“Because I’m here to protect you.”
Ye Bufan briefly and concisely explained what happened to Yu Haichun, finally saying, “That’s how it happened. Your father’s work is special, which is why he didn’t have time to take care of you.
Loyalty and filial piety have always been difficult to balance. I hope you can understand him; he loves you.

”
Yu Wanlu’s eyes widened. She could hardly believe what she was hearing. When she learned that her father had fallen into someone else’s hands, an unprecedented anxiety rose in her heart.
She nervously asked, “Teacher Ye, how is my father now? Is he alright?”
Ye Bufan said, “Don’t worry, your father is fine. Someone will rescue him. You just need to take good care of yourself for now. Try not to leave the campus as much as possible when I’m not around these next few days.”
“Oh! I understand.”
At this moment, Yu Wanlu didn’t know how to describe her feelings. She was happy and nervous. Happy because she learned that her father didn’t not love her or care about her; it was due to his work that he had no time.
She was nervous about her father’s safety and hoped he could return safely for a father-daughter reunion.
Ye Bufan sensed her mood and tried to talk about lighter topics to help her relax.
Just then, the waiter brought the dishes. The two ate and chatted, and the atmosphere became much more relaxed.
Outside the restaurant, An Yimo stood at the entrance, looking at the restaurant door, her face filled with hesitation, wondering whether she should go in.
The Piano Prince had always been her dream man. Many times, she had thought that as long as she could find the Piano Prince, she would marry no one else, and would even be his lover if necessary.
But just now, a classmate called her, saying that he knew who the Piano Prince was and had arranged to meet at this restaurant today.
When An Yimo first received the call, she was very happy, feeling that her dream was finally about to come true.
She arrived at the Violet Restaurant at the appointed time, but the closer she got, the more clearly Ye Bufan’s image appeared in her mind.
At this moment, she was somewhat flustered, realizing that she seemed to have fallen in love with this man. In comparison, the Piano Prince seemed to have become less important.
But this discovery made her very uneasy and awkward. After all, Ye Bufan was Qin Chuchu’s boyfriend, and falling in love with her best friend’s man was an extremely embarrassing situation.
Because of this, she had been hesitating in front of the restaurant for a long time, unsure of what choice to make.
“Mo Mo, what are you doing here? Why don’t you go in?”
Just then, a black Mercedes-Benz stopped nearby, and a Young man in his twenties got out.
He was wearing a black tailcoat over a snow-white shirt with a bow tie, and a pair of shiny black Italian leather shoes, looking like an artist preparing for a performance.

“Ah, Liu Quan, I was about to go in. I didn’t see you two, so I waited for you outside for a bit.”
This Young man was her classmate Liu Quan. An Yimo naturally felt too embarrassed to reveal her true feelings, so she just casually made up an excuse.
“Come in when you arrive, why wait for me outside?”
Liu Quan said, then walked in first. An Yimo could only follow behind. The two of them went together to the pre-booked table, which was not far from the piano.
After they sat down, Liu Quan politely asked, “What would you like to eat?”
“Whatever.”
After sitting down, An Yimo felt a bit uneasy, unsure of what to say when she met the Piano Prince later.
Her heart was very conflicted, even very confused, unsure whether she truly cared more about the Piano Prince or Ye Bufan.
“Then I’ll order for you.”
Liu Quan was clearly very familiar with the place. He called over the waiter and ordered several specialty dishes, and also a bottle of red wine.
After the waiter left, he said, “Mo Mo, I often see you posting articles on your Moments looking for the Piano Prince. Have you fallen in love with him?”
If it were before, An Yimo would have immediately given an affirmative answer, but this time she didn’t. After a moment of contemplation, she said, “I greatly admire his talent.”
Liu Quan said, “But I saw on your Moments that you said you wouldn’t marry anyone but the Piano Prince.”
An Yimo smiled slightly, a little embarrassed, “That was just a joke, you can’t take it seriously.”
To ease her embarrassment, she asked again, “By the way, where is the Piano Prince you mentioned? Why isn’t he here yet?”
“Actually, he’s already here,” Liu Quan said with a serious expression. “Mo Mo, the Piano Prince you’re looking for is actually me.”
“It’s you? How is that possible?”
An Yimo’s face was filled with disbelief. Although Liu Quan came from a good family and had studied piano before, she was very clear about his piano skills. He couldn’t even compare to her, let alone the Piano Prince.
“You don’t believe it, do you? What I’m saying is true.”
Liu Quan said with a deep gaze, “I pursued you in high school, but you rejected me.
I was very sad then. Later, I learned that you liked boys who could play the piano, so I started practicing diligently.
Do you know how I’ve spent these years? I’ve practiced piano at least 10 hours a day, spent a lot of money, and visited many famous teachers, finally achieving what I have today.”
