Chapter 449: Enemies Meet 2

Nangong Liuyun's eyes burned as he stared at Li Aotian's form, his own body swaying weakly.

Su Luo immediately went over to support him and asked anxiously, "How are you? Can you still hold on?"

Just now, in order to scare Li Aotian away, Nangong Liuyun had kept his body rigid, appearing as if he were uninjured.

But Su Luo, standing beside him, saw clearly the pain hidden beneath that cold and serious expression.

Nangong Liuyun said faintly, "I can still hold on. Let's talk inside."

Su Luo nodded; Li Aotian might be lurking nearby.

She supported Nangong Liuyun as they slowly walked into the Cave.

For a moment, neither of them spoke, and the surrounding air felt somewhat heavy.

Only after a long while did Su Luo let out a bitter laugh. "How is it that Li Aotian wasn't blown to death by the spirit bullet ball?"

Nangong Liuyun looked at her with a faint, bitter smile and reached out to rub her head.

"I forgot to tell you, there's actually a slight side effect when using the spirit bullet ball. For example, there's a one-in-ten-thousand chance that the opponent will absorb the Spiritual Qi within it."

Nangong Liuyun spread his hands and said helplessly, "A one-in-ten-thousand chance, and he actually ran into it."

"So Li Aotian actually absorbed the Spiritual Power within the spirit bullet ball?"

"It seems so. His strength is a bit better than before; he should be at the Seventh Rank now," Nangong Liuyun said with a bitter smile.

"Seventh Rank?" Su Luo felt her brow twitch slightly.

What kind of sin had she committed?

She had intended to take the opportunity to kill Li Aotian, but who would have thought she'd instead send him to the heavens, allowing him to directly Breakthrough the Sixth Rank barrier and soar to the Seventh Rank?

On this Deserted Island, her own strength was insufficient and Nangong Liuyun was severely injured; clearly, Li Aotian's martial arts were now the most powerful.

He wasn't a fool. Although he had been scared off by Nangong Liuyun earlier, there was no guarantee he wouldn't figure things out.

Su Luo tapped her head somewhat gloomily.

The first time she used a spirit bullet ball, it resulted in the absorption of Spiritual Power. Should she say her luck was explosive or absolutely abysmal?

"Are we still staying here?" If they continued to stay here, it would be like waiting for Li Aotian to come killing once he understood.

"If we leave immediately, even if he were a stupid pig, he would figure it out," Nangong Liuyun smiled nonchalantly. "Now we can only gamble—gamble that he won't figure it out within seven days."

"Difficult…" Su Luo rested her chin on her hands and slowly shook her head.

Three days passed in a calm and uneventful manner.

On the fourth day.

Su Luo quietly watched Nangong Liuyun as he sat cross-legged with his eyes tightly shut, immersed in healing and recovery, a trace of solemnity flashing in her eyes.

Nangong Liuyun's external injuries were mostly healed, and his internal injuries were recovering in an orderly fashion.

These next few days were the most critical; if he were disturbed, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Li Aotian's figure appeared in Su Luo's mind.

Since his appearance a few days ago, this person seemed to have completely vanished.

Logically, Su Luo should be happy, but she had a faint, ominous premonition in her heart.

Her premonitions had always been accurate.

Or rather, her perception of danger was much stronger than most people's.

Just as Su Luo felt a trace of worry, a heavy sound of footsteps came from outside.

Li Aotian!

Su Luo clenched her hands at her sides, a look of concern flashing across her face as her gaze fell upon Nangong Liuyun.

At this moment, he was surrounded by a faint mist, fully immersed in his Cultivate and completely unaware of the outside disturbance.
