Chapter 467: The Hero’s Shyness

After sending out the wedding invitations.

Xu Xi was kept behind by the Hero's parents.

They were invited to participate in the noon banquet.

This wasn't an ordinary family dinner, but a larger-scale noble banquet with many guests invited.

It was specifically to announce to the subjects of the territory, as well as friends and relatives—

Sevia is getting married.

The clear and bright emerald had been polished to absolute purity; shining brilliantly under the sunlight, she was about to begin a brand-new life.

"Will Lord Wizard find it troublesome? Inviting so many people…"

"It's not troublesome at all, Sevia."

There was still some time before the banquet.

Sevia took Xu Xi to visit various areas within the mansion and then toward the territory, touring the now-restored Claufeel Territory.

Along the way.

The girl worried that she had caused trouble for Xu Xi.

Xu Xi smiled and shook his head.

Looking at the lush green scenery in the distance within the territory, he said, "Sevia, I just prefer quiet; it doesn't mean I can't handle a noisy environment."

"Besides, doing this is very meaningful, isn't it?"

"Being blessed by others and receiving their kindness and expectations is a cause for double celebration."

Xu Xi looked up.

Glancing upward, he discovered lush fruits hanging precariously from the green canopy overhead because they were fully ripe.

They looked somewhat familiar.

They were the ingredients for the roasted fruit the Hero had once made for Xu Xi.

Sevia was eager to try; wearing a long dress, she appeared very lively at this moment: "Does Lord Wizard want to eat roasted sha se fruit?"

That joyful posture.

It seemed that as long as Xu Xi nodded, the Hero would pick, wash, and roast the fruit in one go.

"No, Sevia, I won't trouble you today."

"Is… is that so…"

The young girl's face showed visible disappointment, and her originally clear emerald eyes dimmed a bit because of it.

Xu Xi changed his tune: "Suddenly, I want to eat them again."

"I'll go right now!!"

A strong wind kicked up a large patch of green leaves, their rustling creating waves; Sevia happily plucked fresh sha se fruits from the air one by one, piling them up in her arms.

Xu Xi stood behind her.

Looking at that waterfall of platinum hair draped over her shoulders and her busy, joyful figure.

The whistling wind was in his ears.

He suddenly felt as if the Hero was walking at the forefront of summer.

The person runs in front, while the light chases from behind.

Facing the warm breeze, one couldn't help but squint, seeing the pure white light form a person's silhouette, pure and blurry.

"Lord Wizard!"

Sevia held her arms full of fruit and turned to face Xu Xi.

The strands of hair on her forehead were blown up by the wind, revealing a more complete face full of excitement; one hand lightly pressed her hair down, while the other cradled the fruit:

"Sorry to keep you waiting, I'll roast them for you right now."

The midsummer light.

It leaped back and forth among the treetops, lingering on the sweltering earth.

Eventually, it became the flames in the girl's hands.

Wantonly roasting the skin of the fruit.

Soon, a skewer of roasted fruit was handed to Xu Xi; he instinctively leaned in to smell it, catching a faint, warm, and sweet scent.

Taking a light bite, the feedback from his tongue was also good.

"Lord Wizard, how is it?" Sevia looked forward to Xu Xi's answer.

"It's delicious," Xu Xi responded with a smile.

The two sat at the base of a tree, enjoying the shade from the sea of leaves above, feeling the breeze, looking at the mansion, and savoring the soft sweetness of the roasted fruit.

There weren't many topics of conversation.

Yet the aftertaste was endless.

Those adventures they had experienced together in the fifth simulation remained unforgettable to this day.

"By the way, Lord Wizard."

As if suddenly remembering something, Sevia turned to look at Xu Xi: "Was the roasted fruit I made for the first time really that bad?"

Xu Xi weighed his words: "It wasn't bad, it just wasn't very good."

To avoid embarrassing the Hero, Xu Xi used a more gentle description.

He smacked his lips.

Only to feel the bitter taste of charred charcoal from the past emerge in his mouth.

The Hero felt a bit embarrassed: "I'm sorry, Lord Wizard, I caused you so much trouble in the past."

Sevia promised Xu Xi that those charred fruits would never appear again.

Speaking of which.

Today's roasted fruit happened to be finished.

Xu Xi summoned a stream of water to wash the girl's hands and helped wipe the corner of her mouth: "Sevia, did you practice specifically for this?"

Sevia nodded: "I didn't want Lord Wizard to misunderstand the taste of roasted fruit because of me."

So said Sevia Claufeel, the roasted fruit enthusiast.

It was about time.

After finishing their walk around the territory, Sevia took the initiative to hold Xu Xi's hand as they walked back to the mansion; many residents greeted them along the way.

Some were cheering, some were offering blessings, and some were weeping with joy.

Feeling the nervous trembling transmitted from her palm.

Xu Xi tightened his grip on the Hero's hand.

"Ugh, this takes more courage than I imagined," Sevia stopped at the mansion's main gate, pausing bashfully.

Embarrassment, nervousness, and a blush flashed across her face.

"I originally thought that telling everyone about my relationship with Lord Wizard would be easy, but it turns out to be more torturous than the Immortals in the Netherworld."

The Hero was good at fighting.

But not good at other things.

In some aspects, Sevia was very innocent and shy.

However, that was before coming to Earth.

Sevia quickly glanced left and right, and after confirming no one was nearby, she leaned her whole body against Xu Xi: "Aaaaah—"

"I'm so tired~ Lord Wizard~ I can't walk anymore~~"

"You'll have to take me inside~~"

A Move learned from who knows where was used by the Hero on Xu Xi; her arms wrapped around him, her cheek pressed against him, her eyes sparkling, appearing weak, pitiful, and helpless.

Xu Xi wanted to laugh.

But seeing the Hero's flushed cheeks, he felt it wouldn't be right to laugh.

So he went along with the girl's words: "Alright, I understand."

Tap—

Tap—

Walking on the path of the Claufeel Mansion.

In Xu Xi's eyes, different scenes were reflected: the brilliant light of the present moment, and the dark silence of that other time.

He saw the Fake Hero taking shelter from the rain.

And he saw the True Hero facing the Immortal with her sword.

Light and shadow, life and death, laughter and tragedy—different images surged and clashed against each other.

Eventually forming a familiar echo.

"Hero Sevia, Move out!"

Xu Xi stopped walking; the light and shadow returned to the midsummer of reality. At the end of his vision was the hall used for the banquet.

Guests were coming and going from the entrance.

The banquet was already prepared.

Inside the hall, everyone was waiting for Xu Xi and Sevia, waiting for today's protagonists.

Ready to offer their blessings and congratulations immediately.

This was the scene Sevia looked forward to most—establishing her future with Xu Xi amidst the blessings of friends and family. Yet, standing at the ornately decorated entrance, she felt a bit dazed and unable to Move her feet.

"Let's go in, Sevia."

Palm facing upward.

In a gesture of invitation.

Just like a reenactment of many years ago.

The Hero grasped that hand, receiving gentle courage from it, pulling herself together, and walking into the hall with Xu Xi.

She was not alone.

She was Lord Wizard's wife, the Hero belonging only to Xu Xi.

She said, "I'm ready, dear."
