Chapter 476: That Costs Extra

The captain suddenly raised his head, completely dazed.

The car stopped in front of him.

The rear car window slowly rolled down.

A stern and majestic face, one he couldn't possibly be more familiar with, appeared before his eyes.

Sitting beside the man was his inseparable S-rank bodyguard, Akiyama.

The captain was completely dumbfounded.

He subconsciously rubbed his eyes, thinking he was hallucinating due to the heavy blow.

Yet everything before him was so real.

"Lord Koji… You… Why are you in the car?"

His voice was dry, filled with unbelievable confusion.

Inside the car, the real Kujo Koji furrowed his brows slightly, a trace of displeasure flashing through his eyes.

What is wrong with this Patrol Team captain today?

Spouting all sorts of incomprehensible nonsense.

"What do you mean?"

Kujo Koji's voice carried a hint of impatience.

"If I'm not in the car, am I under it?"

"No… No!"

The captain waved his hands repeatedly, the expression on his face more terrified than seeing a ghost.

He pointed in the direction the sedan had driven off, his voice turning sharp and distorted due to extreme fear.

"That's not what I mean!"

"You… Didn't you already drive out just a moment ago?!"

"I already drove out?"

Kujo Koji was stunned for a moment.

But in just a second, he realized what the captain meant.

The displeasure on his face vanished, replaced by a ferocious smile.

He muttered under his breath.

"Are they people from the Omiya Family?"

"They really have some nerve."

"To gather intelligence, they actually dared to impersonate me."

His voice was very soft, yet it made the temperature inside the car seem to drop a few degrees.

"Is the estate of our Kujo Family a place anyone can come and go as they please?"

Kujo Koji turned his head to look at Akiyama beside him.

"The other party shouldn't have gone far either."

"Go chase after that car and leave one person alive."

Akiyama was a stern-looking middle-aged man with a thick beard.

Hearing this, he just calmly nodded.

Without asking another question.

He pushed open the car door and got out.

His figure flickered, turning into a blurred afterimage like an arrow released from a string, swiftly chasing off into the distance.

The captain secretly breathed a sigh of relief.

Turns out the people in that car earlier were imposters.

It was a false alarm.

He almost thought he was really going to lose his job.

Just as he was feeling fortunate, at this moment, Kujo Koji's gaze landed on him.

"You are Maji Ichiro, right?"

The icy voice made the captain's heart twitch violently.

He hurriedly bowed, lowering his posture even further, his voice filled with respect and panic.

"Yes, Lord Koji."

He was somewhat surprised that Lord Koji actually knew the name of a minor character like him.

Perhaps this… was an honor?

Kujo Koji asked casually, as if making small talk.

"How long have you been the Patrol Team captain?"

"Three years, Lord Koji."

Maji Ichiro answered honestly.

Kujo Koji nodded, as if pondering something.

"Three years…"

He repeated, his tone devoid of any discernible emotion.

"Not short at all."

"For these three years, you've stood here every day?"

"Yes, Lord Koji." Maji Ichiro felt increasingly uneasy, yet didn't dare hide anything in the slightest. "This subordinate has been conscientious and diligent, never daring to slack off even a bit."

A strange smile suddenly appeared on Kujo Koji's face.

"Conscientious and diligent?"

He shook his head, his voice still calm, yet carrying a piercing chill.

"After three years, you could still let such a suspicious vehicle leave."

"This is too irresponsible."

"I am very disappointed in you."

The expression on Maji Ichiro's face instantly froze.

He realized something was wrong.

The heart he had just put down leapt back up to his throat.

"Thump!"

His legs went soft, and he knelt down without hesitation, slamming his forehead heavily against the cold ground.

"Lord Koji! This subordinate knows he was wrong!"

"This subordinate was just careless for a moment! I was bluffed by that imposter's Aura!"

"I beg you to give this subordinate another chance! This subordinate will definitely redeem himself! I beg you!"

However, Kujo Koji no longer looked at him.

As if Maji Ichiro on the ground was merely an eyesore of a stone.

He leisurely took out his phone from his pocket and began tinkering with it with his head lowered. The screen light reflected on his face, making that indifference all the more distinct.

"Drag him down and execute him."

The calm instruction drifted lightly from his mouth.

"Our Kujo Family does not need trash like this."

Maji Ichiro's brain went "buzz," turning completely blank.

He suddenly felt as if the sky had collapsed.

The previous imposter only made him lose his job.

Yet this real Kujo Koji wanted his life!

"No! Don't! Lord Koji!"

He completely broke down, roaring like a mad dog while kowtowing frantically.

"I was wrong! I was truly wrong! I beg you to spare my life! I don't want to die!"

Two guards standing not far away walked over, expressionlessly propping up his arms to drag him away.

"Let go of me! Let me go!"

Maji Ichiro struggled frantically, kicking his legs wildly on the ground in an attempt to break free.

He used all his strength to reach out towards Kujo Koji in the car, his face covered in snot and tears.

"Lord Koji! Considering how many years I've served the Kujo Family! Please spare this dog's life of mine!"

"I won't dare do it again! I beg you!"

However, from beginning to end, Kujo Koji didn't raise his head to look at him again.

His gaze remained fixed on his phone screen.

As if the heart-wrenching pleas and cries outside were merely annoying cicadas chirping.

His fingers slid unhurriedly across the screen, as if browsing through some interesting news.

Maji Ichiro's cries grew more and more distant, until he was finally dragged into the darkness and completely disappeared.

The entire main gate returned to a deathly silence once more.

Kujo Koji's finger stopped scrolling on his phone.

He tapped open a video.

In the video, a woman was tied to a chair, screaming in terror.

A man holding a whip walked towards her with a ferocious grin.

The corners of Kujo Koji's mouth curved into a satisfied yet morbid arc.

He leaned back against the soft seat, adjusted to a comfortable posture, and began to watch quietly.

Meanwhile,

the car carrying Caesar and the other three was driving rapidly along the mountain road.

After successfully leaving the Kujo Family, the few of them couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

Kalen rested his thick arm on the car window, feeling the oncoming cold wind, and the violent ferocity on his face dissipated quite a bit.

Through the rearview mirror, he glanced at the "Kujo Koji" in the back row who was resting with his eyes closed, his tone carrying a bit of unwilling admiration.

"Hey, Ever-changing Star Lord."

"Your trick is indeed very useful."

"I admit, I underestimated you before."

Zhou Huai didn't even lift his eyelids, having completely no intention of paying attention to this bootlicker.

Yet Polina in his arms stirred slightly, her boneless body pressing closer to him by a few inches.

Zhou Huai frowned imperceptibly, pushing away the warm and fragrant delicate body in his arms slightly.

"Ms. Polina, we are already out."

"Can you let go now?"

Polina opened those seductive, watery eyes of hers, looking up at him, her voice so tender it could drip water.

"Can't I?"

"Your chest is quite solid. Can you let me lean on it a little longer?"

Zhou Huai ruthlessly pushed her away slightly once more, maintaining a subtle distance.

"No."

"That's extra."

Hearing this, not only did Polina not get angry, but she instead giggled, the fullness on her chest rising and falling accordingly, making Kalen and Kujo Kazuya in the front row feel their eyes heat up for a moment.

However, right at this moment,

Kujo Kazuya, who had been tightly gripping the steering wheel with high nervous tension, looked as if he had seen something extremely terrifying.

His face turned pale in a "swish," and his hands gripping the steering wheel trembled violently.

"What's wrong?"

Polina was the first to notice his abnormality.

Kujo Kazuya didn't answer; his lips merely trembled as his eyes stared fixedly at the rearview mirror.

Kalen turned his head impatiently.

"What kind of freakout are you having again, you guy?"

Following Kujo Kazuya's gaze, he looked toward the rearview mirror.

At the glance, his pupils also shrank violently.

He saw that several hundred meters behind their car, a black figure was sprinting over at an unimaginable speed.

That person wasn't taking the road, but shuttling between the steep cliff walls and dense forest.

His figure walked as if on flat ground on the cliff face, each push leaving spiderweb-like cracks on the hard rock, and his speed was not a bit slower than the speeding sedan.

The distance was being rapidly closed!

"What the hell is that thing?"

Kujo Kazuya's voice carried tension.

"It seems… it's Lord Akiyama!"

"It's my uncle's personal bodyguard, Lord Akiyama has caught up!"
