Chapter 486: Cherry Blossoms Like Blood (Part 6)
Kujo Kazuya's hands trembled, and he slammed his foot on the accelerator.
The tires let out a screeching sound against the ground, and the black sedan quickly turned around, charging toward Lake Kawaguchi.
"Are we just leaving like this?!"
Kalen looked at the rapidly retreating scenery outside the window, then suddenly turned his head back.
"What about Soma Kosuke?!"
Zhou Huai manipulated Caesar, his voice cold.
"Right now we don't have any better options either; we can only pray he can hold out a bit longer to buy us more time."
Hearing this, Kalen moved his lips, but ultimately said nothing more and leaned back against the seat.
Zhou Huai's goal from the very beginning had been the Pendulum of Life.
Now, he felt that his timing had arrived.
Kujo Koji was holding down Soma Kosuke, and at the same time, Soma Kosuke was also holding down Kujo Koji and the strongest battle force around him.
As long as they took this opportunity to snatch the Pendulum of Life from Chong Wenguma's hands, all their objectives would be considered achieved.
Zhou Huai looked out at the night scenery outside the car window, murmuring to himself.
"Soma Kosuke, you really must hold on a bit longer…"
Meanwhile, within the painted battlefield.
Soma Kosuke wore a solemn expression, his gaze locked onto the composed man below.
"Kujo Koji, you are simply a madman!"
Anger and disappointment laced his voice.
"Why? Why would you go provoke the Dawnbreaker Guild? Could it be that you truly want to destroy the entire Sakura Country?!"
As soon as his voice fell, the man dressed in a white suit chuckled and waved his hand.
"Mr. Soma Kosuke, there's no need to phrase it so harshly."
"Our Dawnbreaker Guild has always been friendly toward Sakura Country. I think your misunderstanding of our guild is simply too deep."
Soma Kosuke let out a cold snort, his gaze sharp.
"This is a grievance between Kujo Koji and me, and it has nothing to do with your Dawnbreaker Guild! Trouble the two of you to leave immediately!"
The Man in White Suit let out a soft laugh and shook his head.
"That simply won't do."
He straightened his bowtie, and the words he spoke left Soma Kosuke stunned.
"To be honest with you, Mr. Kujo Koji has actually been a member of our Dawnbreaker Guild for a very long time."
"For you to deal with him is to deal with our Dawnbreaker Guild; how could you expect us to just stand by and ignore it?"
"You say… what?!"
Soma Kosuke's pupils violently constricted.
He looked at Kujo Koji in disbelief, trembling all over with anger.
"Kujo Koji! You… you bastard!"
"To think you actually joined the Dawnbreaker Guild!"
"How can you face the ancestors of the Kujo Family?! How can you face the Bloodline of Amaterasu flowing inside your body?!"
"You unfilial scum who forgets his roots! You are simply unworthy of being a descendant of the Kujo Family!"
Facing Soma Kosuke's furious scolding, the smile on Kujo Koji's face did not change in the slightest.
He only smiled dismissively.
"Mr. Kosuke, times have changed."
He spread his hands open, his posture relaxed.
"Whether it is you, me, or even my high and lofty ancestor Amaterasu, we are nothing more than a tiny grain of sand in the torrent of history."
"Why cling to so many pointless obsessions?"
Soma Kosuke stared at him fixedly, his chest heaving.
He slowly closed his eyes, and when he opened them again, only killing intent remained within them.
He took a deep breath.
A powerful Aura emanated from his body.
"Since that is the case," he rasped, "then tonight, I will kill the lot of you together!"
The moment his voice fell.
Soma Kosuke no longer hesitated in the slightest, slowly raising that withered arm that resembled a chicken claw.
He joined his fingers like a pen, taking the heavens and earth as his scroll, and his own burning vitality as ink.
With an empty stroke in the air toward the solid ink-colored ground beneath the feet of the Kujo Family crowd!
The movement was very light, very slow.
"Click—"
A faint crisp sound.
Amidst the heaven-shaking shouts and kills of the battlefield, it should have been insignificant.
Yet this sound clearly entered the ears of everyone present.
Beneath the feet of the Kujo Family crowd, that solid ground composed of ink split open with a tiny crack without any warning.
Following closely after.
"Crack! Crack crack crack!"
More cracks spread wildly in all directions like a spiderweb centered around that initial fracture!
The ground was wailing and collapsing!
"What is going on?!"
"The ground is splitting apart!"
Terrified screams erupted from within the crowd of the Kujo Family.
Their footing beneath their feet had already shattered into pieces within a mere few seconds.
Before they could even react.
"Rumble—"
A deafening roar.
The huge fissure abruptly cracked open, and a bottomless, pitch-black abyss appeared beneath everyone's feet.
An indescribable scorching Aura gushed out from the abyss.
Immediately following was a blinding dark red light.
Scorching magma surged out roaring from the underground abyss, like a slumbering ancient beast!
"Ah—!"
A Professional closest to the fissure lost his footing, letting out a miserable shriek as his entire body instantly plunged into the roiling magma.
The energy shield on his body shattered like a bubble the moment it made contact with the magma.
Immediately after, his body was ignited, and amidst heart-wrenching wails, he was completely burned to ashes, not even leaving a single bone behind.
This was merely just the beginning.
More and more Professionals, along with the shattered ground beneath their feet, fell together into this magma Hell.
Even those heavy armored vehicles were not spared.
Like toys dropped into a furnace, they rapidly melted in the magma, ultimately turning into an unremarkable puddle of molten iron that vanished within the crimson waves.
Panic spread through the Kujo Family's camp like a plague.
Everyone acted like madmen, scrambling to get away from those constantly expanding fissures, trying to find a safe patch of ground.
In an instant, the entire battlefield transformed into a living Hell.
The temperature of the air spiked abruptly, and scorching steam rose, distorting and blurring vision.
Everyone felt as though they were placed inside a massive smelting furnace, with even breathing carrying a burning pain.
However, this was not the end yet.
"Roar—"
Within the roiling sea of magma, a deafening roar suddenly resounded.
Several massive magma whirlpools appeared out of thin air.
Immediately after, ferocious dragon heads abruptly poked out from the center of the whirlpools!
Those were several giant dragons entirely composed of magma!
They were massive in size, each one dozens of meters long, with scorching magma flowing all over their bodies, spewing deadly sparks with every breath.
Rising straight up from the magma with an Aura of destroying everything, they lunged fiercely toward the core area where Kujo Koji was located!
"A pack of painted beasts, how dare you act so insolently!"
Wada Hirayama let out a cold snort, Battle Intent rising in his eyes.
The tips of his feet tapped the ground, his figure transforming into a silver streak as he proactively met one of the fire dragons that lunged over first.
"Swish!"
The blade light flashed and vanished.
The giant head of that fire dragon was cleanly and neatly lopped off by his blade.
However, the severed dragon head did not drop to the ground; instead, it turned into a puddle of magma mid-air and rapidly flowed back to the fire dragon's neck.
Magma roiled at the severed section, and a new head regenerated within a single second.
Completely unscathed!
"Roar!"
The reborn fire dragon let out an angry roar, opened its huge mouth, and sprayed a thick column of magma fire wildly toward Wada Hirayama who was close at hand!
Wada Hirayama's expression changed slightly, his figure flashing to avoid this fatal blow by a hair's breadth.
The column of fire landed on the ground behind him, burning a huge hole into the earth.
At the same time, the other few fire dragons had also closed in.
Their target was clear, pointing straight at Kujo Koji who was protected in the center by the crowd.
"Hahaha! Well come!"
The giant man who looked like an iron tower, standing beside Kujo Koji all along, suddenly burst into loud laughter.
He stepped forward, blocking in front of everyone, excitement flashing in his eyes.
Facing those columns of Dragon Breath made of magma capable of melting gold and iron, not only did he not dodge, but he instead opened his arms wide, striking a welcoming posture.
"Hum—"
Blinding golden light erupted with a boom from his body.
His body expanded and grew taller at a speed visible to the naked eye within the golden light!
The knotted muscles originally there disappeared, replaced by a smooth, solemn golden Buddha body.
In a mere two seconds, that giant man actually transformed into a huge Buddha standing over twenty meters tall, with a solemn expression, eyes wide open in anger, exuding a sacred Aura of unshakeable stability.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
Several streams of Dragon Breath smashed solidly against the golden Buddha's body.
However, that scorching energy capable of destroying everything couldn't even manage to leave a trace of char on the golden Buddha's surface.
All the flames and magma were completely blocked by that seemingly thin layer of golden light, not allowing a single bit to spill over.
The golden Buddha transformed by the giant man was like an insurmountable mountain, firmly intercepting all the attacks.
On the other side.
That man dressed in a white suit with a refined demeanor simply watched all this quietly, a faint smile hanging on his face.
He slowly raised his hand toward that shattered earth that had already turned into a magma Hell, spread his five fingers wide, and then gently waved them.
"Merge."
A soft syllable escaped his lips.
The next second, an incredible scene occurred.
Those fractured ground layers seemed to be controlled by an invisible pair of giant hands, rapidly converging toward the middle.
The roiling magma was also suppressed by an invisible force, retreating back into the underground abyss.
In just a few short seconds.
The shattered earth was restored to its original state, as if the apocalyptic scene from just moments ago was merely an illusion.
Having finished all this, the Man in White Suit pushed the gold-rimmed glasses on the bridge of his nose, looked up at the huge golden Buddha, and spoke leisurely.
"Bhadra, stop playing around."
"Go on, invite old Mr. Soma Kosuke down."
Hearing this, the boundless golden light on the golden Buddha's body quickly receded.
That solemn Buddha manifestation vanished, transforming back into the muscular, bald giant man.
Bhadra twisted his neck, his joints emitting a series of popping sounds, a ferocious yet excited smile blooming on his face.
"Understood."
Just as the words fell.
He sharply bent his legs, striking a semi-crouched posture.
"Boom!"
The ground beneath his feet could not bear this force, instantly caving in as spiderweb-like cracks spread to the surroundings.
The next second.
Bhadra's figure shot straight up into the sky like a cannonball!
His speed was so fast that it frictioned against the air to produce sparks, leaving a white wave of air in his wake.
Carrying a violent Aura, his entire body charged directly toward Soma Kosuke suspended mid-air!
