Chapter 489: Demon Domain Abyss, Hunting Time

The Demon Domain Abyss was located in a desolate Star Domain at the edge of the Spirit Realm.

This was a land of chaotic laws, shrouded year-round in thick black Devilish Qi that even starlight could not penetrate.

It was a forbidden zone for life and a paradise for demonic creatures.

A streak of azure light cut through the darkness, landing silently on a shattered meteorite.

Zhou Chen withdrew his entire Aura, the chaos bell transforming into a small bell hanging from his waist, perfectly isolating him from the surrounding environment.

He stood on high ground, overlooking the bottomless, massive abyss below.

The abyss was like a wide-open maw, constantly spewing out black mist.

Faint roars could be heard from the bottom of the abyss; those were Yao Beasts eroded by Devilish Qi, slaughtering each other.

He did not rush in recklessly but instead brought up the System panel to reconfirm the location where Xue Yi would appear.

The panel showed that the other party was estimated to arrive in half a day.

Zhou Chen's figure flashed as he jumped directly into the abyss.

During the descent, the surrounding Devilish Qi grew thicker, even beginning to condense into physical demonic shadows that lunged at Zhou Chen with bared fangs and claws.

"Senior, this is no fun. Always resorting to fighting and killing at every turn."

Zhou Chen sighed and lightly stomped his foot.

"Quake!"

The chaos bell emitted a crisp chime.

A circle of golden ripples spread out with Zhou Chen as the center. The aggressive black chains, upon contact with the golden ripples, shattered and collapsed one after another as if they had met their natural nemesis.

"Hm? An Immortal Emperor Weapon?"

A hint of surprise and greed entered the Demon Emperor Remnant Soul's voice. "I didn't expect a mere ant like you to possess such a supreme treasure! Hahaha, heaven is truly helping me! Once I possess you and refine this chaos bell, I will not only achieve Rebirth but also take a step further!"

"You want my bell? That depends on whether you have the teeth for it."

The corners of Zhou Chen's mouth curled up slightly as the qingping sword appeared in his hand, its tip pointing directly at the altar.

Zhou Chen looked at the hideous face and said indifferently, "Today, it's not yet certain who is the hunter and who is the prey."

Just as the tension between the two reached its peak and they were about to strike.

A sudden sound of whistling air came from the entrance of the abyss.

Immediately after, a blood-red figure rushed in with wild laughter.

"Hahaha! The Devil Emperor Legacy! I, Xue Yi, have arrived!"

Xue Yi was surrounded by Devilish Qi, clutching the token given to him by Demon General Mo Yubai, and rushed toward the altar with an excited expression. However, when he clearly saw the figure standing beneath the altar, the smile on his face instantly froze.

"You are… Lin… Lin Dong?!"

As if he had seen a ghost, Xue Yi slammed on the brakes, his eyes nearly popping out of his head. "How can you be here?!"

Zhou Chen turned around and, looking at the bewildered Xue Yi, revealed a bright smile.

"Yo, Brother Xue Yi, long time no see. I thought it would be too lonely for you to come alone, so I came specifically to keep you company."

At this moment, the air seemed to freeze.

Xue Yi stared fixedly at Zhou Chen, his expression like he had just swallowed a fly—both disgusted and shocked.

He never imagined that in this godforsaken Demon Domain Abyss, in this top-secret place known only to him and Demon General Mo Yubai, he would actually run into this jinx!

"Lin Dong! Did you put some kind of Tracking Mark on me?!"

Xue Yi roared in exasperation, "Why are you everywhere I go?!"

Zhou Chen shrugged with an innocent look. "Brother Xue Yi, what are you saying? This is called fate. Look, the abyss is so big, yet we still ran into each other. If this isn't fate, then what is?"

Xue Yi gritted his teeth, the demonic blade in his hand buzzing.
