Chapter 49: Domineering and Overbearing (1)

Su Luo and Nangong Liuyun had agreed on a meeting place, and she waited obediently under a large tree outside the city.

Before long, dust billowed in the distance, and the roars of a beast could be heard from afar.

Su Luo looked ahead.

She saw a strange-looking horse pulling an exquisite carriage, galloping vigorously toward her at extreme speed, arriving in the blink of an eye.

What drew even more attention was that white horse.

It was definitely not a horse in the ordinary sense.

Its body was covered in green scales, and though its form resembled a horse, it looked exceptionally majestic, and its running speed was many times faster than even a Thousand-mile Ferghana Horse.

In almost the blink of an eye, it stood quietly before Su Luo.

Its body shimmered with green scales as it shook its head and wagged its tail, raising its front hooves and neighing toward the sky, looking quite magnificent.

"Could it be a Dragon Scale Horse?" Su Luo exclaimed.

Lately, she had focused her studies on the general history and common knowledge of the continent, so she was fairly familiar with different species.

"Why wouldn't it be?" Nangong Liuyun's lazy, demonic, and low-pitched voice came with a hint of laughter.

Through the beaded jade carriage curtain, Nangong Liuyun could be faintly seen reclining elegantly on the carriage's soft couch.

Su Luo found it somewhat hard to believe for a moment.

According to what she knew, the Dragon Scale Horse was a type of Yao Beast with extraordinary strength; even the most ordinary Dragon Scale Horse was equivalent to a fifth-rank human Martial Artist.

What kind of strength was the fifth rank? To give an example, that little Genius Su Xi was only at the second rank even now, Su Jingyu was only at the third rank, and even the dignified Great Protector General Su Zian was only at the fifth rank.

Just one small Dragon Scale Horse was comparable to a Great Protector General. In the entire Dongling Kingdom, only Nangong Liuyun possessed one; no one else did.

He didn't raise this Dragon Scale Horse as a combat pet, but instead used it casually as a mount for his carriage.

It was truly extravagant to the extreme, worthy of the legendary Prince Jin.

"Come here." Inside the carriage, Nangong Liuyun beckoned with a fair, polished finger, a bewitching smile appearing on his face as his voice sounded low and intoxicating.

He spoke unhurriedly and nonchalantly, yet there was a domineering quality that could not be ignored.

Su Luo also wanted to test the speed of the Dragon Scale Horse, so she lifted the beaded curtain and sat inside of her own accord.

Compared to the luxury and splendor of the exterior, the interior space was much more exquisite and detailed.

"What an extravagant carriage; you must have extorted quite a lot from the common people, haven't you?" Su Luo marveled as she admired the luxury inside.

Nangong Liuyun gave a low chuckle and looked at Su Luo with a smile. "What? Is the righteous heroine preparing to seek justice for the people?"

"I don't have the time for that." Su Luo waved her hand and sat down casually. She picked up the white jade teapot, elegantly poured herself a cup of fragrant tea, and praised, "Your Highness Prince Jin certainly knows how to enjoy life—riding the flashiest carriage and drinking the most fragrant tea."

"And finding the most stubborn woman, holding the most beautiful woman, and kissing the woman I like best." With a reach of his long arm, Nangong Liuyun pulled Su Luo into his embrace without any warning.
