Chapter 49: Reversing the Past (Part 3)
Lin Yue stood to the side, adding with a fawning smile, "Officer, it's very simple. His car rear-ended someone. The driver is fine, but the people in the other car need some medical expenses."
Lin Fan listened impassively. *Medical expenses? The people are already dead. It should be compensation.*
The captain frowned and began recording the testimony.
"Alright, the case is clear. Let's look at the victim's vehicle."
A police tow truck dragged over the heavily damaged Fengchi X6.
After the tow truck came to a stop, Lin Fan glanced at the situation inside the car. As expected, it was the same as before.
The two people in the front seats had undergone cybernetic modifications. Although they were unconscious, they appeared to have only minor injuries and should not be in life-threatening danger. However, the little blonde foreign girl in the back seat was already dead.
Lin Fan feigned terror and shouted, "No, I didn't do this! It was Lin Yue! He took my car without permission. The crash has nothing to do with me!"
Upon hearing this, Lin Yue's expression darkened instantly, and he flew into a rage. "Fuck! We agreed you would take the fall! You took my money, and now you're backstabbing me at the last minute? You really are a piece of trash!"

He instinctively checked the countdown on his watch. There were still 25 minutes left.
Three hours had passed; the Repair Master should have already fixed the computer.

Lin Fan's expression darkened, his gaze as sharp as a knife. "What did you say?!"
The Repair Master hurriedly took a small black device out of the computer and handed it to Lin Fan with both hands. "This is it! I really didn't mean to. I was just blinded by greed for a moment!"
Lin Fan took the device and examined it closely in his hand. The thing was only the size of a fingernail, but it was clearly a high-tech product, with a special symbol engraved on the back.
"Heh, Lin Yue is quite capable of causing trouble."
The Repair Master said cautiously, "Big Brother, I really know I was wrong! I've already removed the tracking device; it definitely didn't transmit anything! Please, let me off the hook!"
Lin Fan stared at him for a few seconds. Seeing cold sweat pouring down his forehead, his tone softened slightly. "I'll let it slide this time. Hand over the tracking device."

The Repair Master froze where he was, nodding repeatedly. Only after watching Lin Fan's back disappear outside the shop door did he let out a long sigh of relief.

Lin Fan carried the fixed computer, put away the tracking device, and dialed Zhang Ming's communication channel.
"It's ready. Come over. The show is about to begin!"
"Got it, Boss! I'll be there in a moment!"
A few minutes later, Zhang Ming arrived at the Nanxing 4S dealership in the tow truck. As soon as the two approached the starfire c9, they were blocked by employees.
The leader was a woman wearing a neat uniform. She crossed her arms, her tone cold and rigid. "How can you prove this car is yours?"
Lin Fan pressed the car key. The starfire c9 beeped twice, and the headlights flashed once.
Zhang Ming immediately said enthusiastically, "See? This is my brother's car! Move aside, we're towing it."
The woman did not step aside, saying coldly, "But our boss says this is his car."
Although Zhang Ming usually looked quite timid, his expression darkened immediately upon hearing the woman's words.
This was the car he had personally refurbished for Lin Fan; he had tightened every single screw himself. Now, it was being blatantly snatched by the 4S dealership—this was simply too bullying!
"Lin Fan, get in the car! Today, I'll show you my special skills!"
"Sure, let me see how you, the Towing Master, handle this situation."
Zhang Ming didn't hesitate at all. He sat firmly in the driver's seat and skillfully operated the tow truck's mechanical arm.
The tow hook seemed to have eyes of its own; it automatically extended and precisely hooked onto the chassis of the starfire c9.
Although the starfire c9's right front wheel was heavily damaged, its structure remained sturdy. After the tow truck lifted the front wheels, the entire car rode steadily.
Seeing this, the 4S dealership employees became anxious.
The woman stepped forward, attempting to stop them. "Towing the car without permission like this is illegal! Put it down immediately, or we're calling the police!"
Zhang Ming was completely unmoved, instead offering a cold laugh. "Calling the police? Perfect, I was just about to report you shady shop owners for car theft! This car belongs to my brother. If you have the guts, call the police, and we'll confront each other!"
Upon hearing this, the woman's expression changed slightly, and a flash of panic crossed her eyes.

The tow truck began to move steadily, with the starfire c9 being towed behind. The surrounding employees could only watch, but no one dared to step forward to stop them again.
The two continued on their way, the vehicle driving steadily down the street.
Lin Fan pulled the small tracking device from his pocket. It flashed with a red light, appearing particularly eye-catching.
Zhang Ming glanced at it and frowned. "Is this the little thing that got us killed ten years ago?"
"This is it."
Lin Fan casually placed the tracking device in front of the dashboard.
"Next, let's see how they plan to kill us by crashing into us."
The vehicle continued to drive, and a tense atmosphere permeated the air.
Lin Fan watched the countdown on his watch: 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.
"Beep, beep, beep!"
"It's here!"
Suddenly, in the opposite lane, a heavy truck swerved out of its lane without warning.
The headlights on the front of the truck were like the eyes of a wild beast, flashing with blinding light, bearing down on him mercilessly.
As the truck drew closer and closer, Zhang Ming prepared to turn the steering wheel, but the speed was too fast; there was simply no time to dodge.
The truck was less than a few meters from Lin Fan's car when it suddenly accelerated without warning. The roar of the engine tore through the air as it smashed head-on into Lin Fan's car.
