Chapter 50: Changing the Past (IV)

Just as the car was speeding toward Lin Fan, Karl and Blood Hammer made their move.

Their agile figures wove through the street like beasts, nimbly dodging passing vehicles as they rapidly approached Lin Fan's car.

In an instant, they had leaped over Lin Fan's car.

The laser blade on Karl's right arm ignited, its sharp red glow as scorching as flames, and with irrepressible rage, he slashed toward the oncoming truck's cab.

The air was torn apart, the laser blade carving a blinding trail of red light, carrying a destructive Aura as it hacked fiercely toward the truck's front.

With a piercing screech of rending metal, the sharp light of the laser blade pierced through the entire body of the vehicle from the cockpit.

The massive truck's body was instantly split in two.

The crimson cut surface shimmered, metal and glass fragments scattered everywhere, and the air was filled with the acrid smell of burning and the harsh scent of metal.

Immediately following, Blood Hammer's figure appeared! His massive alloy hammer-arm moved as if nothing could obstruct it, thrusting violently into the severed cab without hesitation.

Blood Hammer's iron fist struck the wreckage of the vehicle fiercely, completely opening up the space of the cab.

He grabbed the truck driver, who hadn't yet reacted, and pulled him out of the driver's seat as easily as plucking a chick.

The driver struggled in terror, but he was completely unable to resist Blood Hammer's immense strength.

Blood Hammer unceremoniously slammed the driver onto the ground. The driver scrambled up in a sorry state, his face pale and his eyes darting around nervously.

Blood Hammer stared at him coldly, his voice like ice: "Who sent you here?"

The driver's eyes flickered, and he guiltily lowered his head, trying his best to feign composure: "No one… I just fell asleep at the wheel."

His tone was filled with unease, and his eyes avoided Blood Hammer's gaze, appearing extremely unnatural.

Blood Hammer's gaze grew even colder as he stepped closer, his massive alloy hammer-arm waving lightly in the air, emitting a heavy, rumbling sound.

"Fell asleep at the wheel?" Blood Hammer's tone was as cold as a blade. "Do you really take us for fools?"

The driver's lips began to tremble, and he grew increasingly panicked.

"I… I really just…"

His words became increasingly unclear, and his eyes darted rapidly around, seemingly looking for a chance to escape.

Karl walked over from the side, lifting the truck driver up with one hand; the laser blade in his other hand still retained its heat.

"Don't waste time; he won't tell the truth," Karl sneered.

Blood Hammer glanced at Karl, then turned back to approach the driver, whispering: "Tell me, who sent Lin Yue? Otherwise, you won't have another chance to speak."

The driver stared fixedly at the ground and finally stammered:

"It… it was Lin Yue. He gave me money and told me to intentionally crash into him… I'm just taking money to do the job. I don't know who sent Lin Yue."

"Finally, the truth."

Blood Hammer turned slightly and nodded at Karl, signaling him to let the driver go for now.

Karl retracted the laser blade and walked to the side with steady steps, his eyes still sharply locked onto the driver.

The driver breathed a sigh of relief, though he was still terrified, he still dared not look up at them.

Blood Hammer walked up to him, his low voice carrying a threat: "Whatever money Lin Yue can give you, it doesn't mean he can protect you. You'd better honestly tell us who is behind him, and don't think about playing any tricks."

The driver shrank his neck and swallowed, his mood clearly becoming heavier: "I… I'm just a small fry. There are people behind him, but I don't know exactly who they are."

"You don't know? Then don't waste my time anymore."

Blood Hammer grabbed the driver by the collar and lifted him up, his massive iron fist gripping his head.

The driver's face was pale, and his whole body was trembling.

"I… I really don't know anything else! Lin Yue asked me to do it, and I just followed orders!"

His legs shook weakly, and finally, he stopped struggling.

Blood Hammer slowly released his hand, letting him drop to the ground.

"You'll never have the chance to do evil again in this life."

On the other side, Lin Fan and Zhang Ming walked out of the tow truck.

Lin Fan chuckled, a hint of disdain in his eyes: "I thought they were tough, but is this it?"

Zhang Ming patted Lin Fan's starfire c9 and smiled proudly: "Don't underestimate this car; I built it with my own hands."

He looked at the car body and pointed to the wheel that had fallen off: "Look, now it has grown back."

Sure enough, the right front wheel that had originally fallen off was, under the effect of the alloy, slowly "growing" back, as good as new.

Lin Fan raised an eyebrow and sneered: "What's the use of growing back if it falls off at a touch?"

Zhang Ming quickly explained: "Don't worry, it won't. That was just to put on a show for Lin Yue."

"Actually, I've already modified this wheel; it's pressure-resistant and crash-resistant. If you don't believe me, try crashing into something."

Lin Fan nodded; Zhang Ming's ability was worth trusting.

Lin Fan climbed into the driver's seat of the starfire c9 and lightly touched the start button inside the car; the engine's low roar immediately sounded.

"Karl, come with me."

Karl immediately responded and walked toward the passenger seat without hesitation.

"Blood Hammer, you escort Zhang Ming back to Star-Moon Manor and ensure his safety. If anyone with no eyes comes along the way, beat them up directly. Don't leave any survivors, and that includes the police."

Blood Hammer responded in a low voice, nodded expressionlessly, and then turned to walk toward another car, with Zhang Ming following closely behind.

Lin Fan started the starfire c9, sneered, and stepped on the accelerator. The car body leaped forward, and it quickly drove away from the scene.

Not long after, the police finally arrived at the crime scene.

The surveillance footage of the scene was quickly retrieved. The truck driver had ultimately been executed by the ace of the Hell Arena, a scene that was bloody and shocking.

The large truck had been easily cut into two by Karl's laser blade, and Blood Hammer had quickly dragged the truck driver out of the vehicle.

In the end, without any mercy, he had directly crushed his skull.

"These people… they're simply too strong."

One of the officers couldn't help but swallow.

"To think it was the ace of the Hell Arena. We've heard of their brutality before, but I didn't expect them to be able to eliminate harm for the people so decisively."

"I've never seen such a scene; this is no longer just fighting crime, but upholding justice through the bloodiest and most direct means."

The news spread quickly, and Karl and Blood Hammer, two cold-blooded warriors who once fought in the underground arena, were now hailed as "street heroes" because of this act of justice.

Their names went viral on social media, and netizens began discussing their past and the significance of this operation.

"Karl, Blood Hammer, messengers of justice!" some netizens posted excitedly: "These are the real heroes! They hit right! They stand tall!"

However, for Karl and Blood Hammer, these titles were irrelevant.

They had only one goal, and that was to complete Lin Fan's orders.

In the passenger seat of the starfire c9, Karl listened to the radio broadcast, the corners of his mouth slightly raised. "Heroes?"

"What, first time being a hero, and you're not used to it?"

"Not really, it's just that I've been a street rat for too long, and I'm not used to this title for the moment."

"Hahaha! You'll get used to it later."

Lin Fan raised his hand and turned the steering wheel; the starfire c9 wove through the busy streets, moving at a rapid speed.

The streetlights retreated rapidly outside the car window. The police station gradually appeared in their line of sight.
