Chapter 52: Many Disasters

Niu Haotian and Yang Xu looked at each other; originally, they had come to support Tao Wei and should have stayed until the end, but the smell was simply too foul, so unbearable.

Most critically, Tao Wei's backside continued to make noises, constantly expelling new gases.

After a brief persistence, the two men could no longer care about Face and hurriedly ran out of the private room, leaving only Tao Wei standing there awkwardly in the large room.

Even now, he hadn't figured out what had happened; his carefully planned confession, his 500,000 yuan customized birthday gift, ultimately failed because of a f-art!

Everyone else had left, and he couldn't stay there either; if he stayed any longer, he might be suffocated by his own f-art, which would be even more embarrassing.

In desperation, he first opened all the windows and exhaust fans in the private room, then retreated to the doorway outside.

Fortunately, most of the gas in his stomach had been released, with no new reinforcements joining, which reduced further awkwardness.

Just then, a waiter passed by the private room door and, seeing several people standing outside, asked in surprise, "Gentlemen and Young Misses, why aren't you entering the private room? Has something happened?"

Tao Wei was full of unvented anger and shouted, "Scram, I choose to stay outside, what does it have to do with you?"

"Sorry!"

The waiter left with a bewildered expression, but as he passed the private room door, his expression suddenly changed, and he covered his nose with his hand, then hurried away.

He even suspected that the guests had done something indescribable in the room, which was why they were so angry.

After a while, the foul smell in the room finally dissipated enough, and everyone returned to the private room, though the windows remained open.

Upon entering, the atmosphere in the room was a bit awkward, and no one mentioned the birthday gift again.

To ease the awkward atmosphere, Niu Haotian said, "Everyone, today we are celebrating Yu Ting Young Miss's birthday, so let's continue to be happy."

Yang Xu said, "That's right, let's all sing a song to express our blessings to Yu Ting Young Miss."

Ye Bufan nudged Han Shuai: "Second brother, aren't you going to seize the opportunity to show off?"

Han Shuai said with a bitter Face, "You know how I sing, don't you? Others are tone-deaf, but I don't have a single note right. Going up there would just be embarrassing; it's better not to go."

Huang Xiaoli said flatteringly, "When it comes to singing, no one can compare to our Tao Da Shao. He was once the Kara OK champion of Jiangnan University, a true King of Songs. Now, please welcome Tao Da Shao to sing a song for everyone."

Speaking of singing, Tao Wei seemed to instantly emerge from his previous awkwardness and regain his confidence.

Although he was a wastrel, he had received an aristocratic education since childhood and could be said to be multi-talented.

Especially in music, he had a bit of natural talent, and with Acquired cultivation, his singing was indeed much better than ordinary people's.

He took the microphone and once again said to Shi Yuting, "Yu Ting, I have been preparing this song for you for a long time, practicing it every day, all for the purpose of singing it to you on your birthday.

I want to tell you, you are my rose, you are my flower."

As he spoke, the music began, and he sang into the microphone, "When a flower blooms, there's a flower to love, among all the flowers on the mountain, only you are my treasure…"

To be honest, Tao Wei's singing was indeed good; although he couldn't compare to a professional singer, he was definitely outstanding among ordinary people.

Han Shuai looked dejected. Although his family was also wealthy, his father was a very traditional person who was determined to have him go to university.

Since childhood, he had received only exam-oriented education, learning only science and mathematics, with no exposure to arts. Coupled with his lack of talent in that area, he could only watch his rival show off on stage.

Ye Bufan saw all of this. Since he was here, he couldn't just watch his good brother be suppressed by the other side.

Moreover, Tao Wei was clearly a playboy, and it would be a real shame if such a good girl like Shi Yuting truly fell into his hands.

Tao Wei sang with increasing enthusiasm and flair.

Yang Xu, Niu Haotian, and Huang Xiaoli took turns applauding and cheering for him, which made him even more proud, seemingly having regained all the Face he had lost earlier.

"You are my…"

But unexpectedly, just as he sang to the climax of the song, before he could even utter the words "rose," a burst of Qi suddenly erupted from his throat, and he actually hiccupped.

The rhythm of the song completely changed, "You are my… uh… you are my… uh…"

Repeated hiccups made it impossible for him to continue singing.

Tao Wei was practically fuming. What on earth was going on? Did he not check the almanac before going out today? Why were unlucky things happening one after another?

He just wanted to show off in front of Shi Yuting, to get that woman into bed, so why were there so many twists and turns? Could he not even properly flirt with girls anymore?

The more he thought about it, the angrier he got. Finally, he slammed the microphone onto the floor, "Damn it, I'm not singing anymore."

Huang Xiaoli quickly stepped forward to comfort him: "Tao Da Shao, you don't need to be angry. You must be feeling unwell today, it's nothing major.

How about this? There's a piano over there. Last time I heard you play the piano, it was simply heavenly music. Could you play another piece for us?"

Niu Haotian followed up, "Yes, Xiao Wei, you are so multi-talented, why limit yourself to one song? Playing a piece is also good, and you can still offer your blessings to Yu Ting."

Hearing the two of them, Tao Wei's mood improved significantly, and he walked towards the piano nearby.

Night Not Central KTV originally aimed for a high-end clientele, and since they booked the platinum private room with a minimum spend of 10,000, there was indeed a good piano in the room.

Tao Wei had once passed the tenth grade in piano, and he was full of confidence. He opened the piano lid, sat on the chair, and began to play.

Meanwhile, Niu Haotian approached Shi Yuting and said, "Miss Shi, you see how multi-talented my brother is. Although he's a bit out of sorts today, he can handle anything. How well he plays the piano!"

Just as he was about to say more good things about Tao Wei, the sound of the piano suddenly became chaotic, with a burst of static, completely disrupting the previous melody.

Everyone else in the room changed their expressions, wondering what was wrong. It was playing so well just a moment ago, why did it suddenly go awry?

Tao Wei was also completely bewildered. He was just about to show off, when suddenly a numbness spread through the left side of his body, a feeling of being completely paralyzed on one side.

His left hand and left foot lost their normal dexterity, so he naturally couldn't play the piano anymore, and the notes that came out were even worse than cotton fluffing.

"Bastard!"

He slammed his fist on the piano, his heart filled with suppressed anger, feeling like his lungs were about to explode. Why did his body always have problems at crucial moments?

Was this multi-talented or multi-troubled?
