Chapter 540: Operation Splitting the Loot 4

Nangong Liuyun swaggered out, holding Su Luo's hand.

Seeing that he had just descended from the sky to help her out, Su Luo tacitly allowed his intimate gesture.

After all, she had agreed to cultivate their relationship for three months; if it worked after three months, great, if not, they would part ways. There was no need to be so rigid now.

"Where are we going?" Su Luo asked with a hint of curiosity when she saw the dragon-scaled carriage neatly parked at the main entrance of the Su Manor.

"To split the spoils." Nangong Liuyun dotingly scratched Su Luo's delicate nose, which was like white jade, and looked at her with smiling eyes.

"Split the spoils?" Su Luo pondered for a moment and then realized, "Did Beichen return victorious?"

"You could say that, barely. Let's go, you'll know when we get there." Nangong Liuyun's words were ambiguous.

Listening to him, Su Luo felt that things weren't that simple.

What else could Prince Jin not handle?

The more Su Luo thought about it, the more curious she became.

The dragon-scaled horse was very fast, turning this way and that, finally stopping at the entrance of a garden.

Nangong Liuyun tossed the reins to a servant and led Su Luo inside.

Without needing instructions, the servants would properly attend to the dragon-scaled horse, not daring to be negligent in the slightest.

The garden was very large, with artificial mountains and flowing water, pavilions and towers, and well-arranged courtyards. The main paths were paved with bluestone slabs, and the small paths were filled with pebbles. The entire garden had an ancient charm.

Seeing Su Luo looking around with interest at the surroundings, a hint of tenderness appeared in Nangong Liuyun's eyes: "Like this garden?"

"It's alright." Su Luo nodded.

Living in the Su Manor was indeed stifling; in fact, she had wanted to move out long ago and escape the murky atmosphere of the Su Manor.

As she walked, Su Luo seemed to mutter, "If there's a similar garden, you might keep an eye out for me. The Su Manor is a mess."

Nangong Liuyun was incredibly intelligent; he heard the hidden meaning in just one sentence.

"This is Beichen's residence, it's quite ordinary. I have a garden in Nanshan that's much better than this. How about we go take a look tomorrow?"

A man and a woman alone, traveling and sightseeing, was one of the best ways to cultivate feelings.

Didn't he see how their feelings for each other grew day by day during their trip to the desolate island and mountains?

The subtle wonders of it could only be understood intuitively, not expressed in words.

How could Su Luo guess Nangong Liuyun's thoughts at this moment? So she nodded, "That might work."

Nangong Liuyun raised an eyebrow triumphantly and led Su Luo further inside.

As they walked, Nangong Liuyun told Su Luo the truth of the matter.

It turned out that on that day, Beichen Ying had indeed led a group of subordinates to surround and attack the East Sea Flood Dragon Gang, but unfortunately, their luck was poor.

Just as they were about to succeed, they discovered that besides them, there were others attacking the East Sea Flood Dragon Gang.

It was none other than the Yaochi Li family, who had been sent to search for Li Aotian. For some reason, they had found the East Sea Flood Dragon Gang and joined the fight.

As a result, the fruits of victory would have to be shared, and Beichen Ying was utterly unwilling in his heart.

If it had been any other family, it would have been fine, but it just had to be the Yaochi Li family, and the one leading them was the eldest young master of the Li family, Li Aoqiong.

Li Aoqiong, a top figure of the third generation of the Li family, was arrogant and indifferent, thinking highly of himself. He and Beichen Ying had always disliked each other, so this made Beichen Ying feel even more stifled.

Ahead was the main hall. Nangong Liuyun led Su Luo in slowly. As soon as they stepped inside, they became the focus of the entire room.

On either side of the long table were two factions.

The Beichen faction and the Yaochi faction.

When Beichen Ying saw Nangong Liuyun, his eyes immediately lit up. When he saw Su Luo, his eyes were shining like searchlights.
