Chapter 58: First Entry into the Chaos Era (Part 2)

After walking about two kilometers, the small path gradually became almost invisible, with weeds spreading to the middle of the road; it was clear that no one had maintained it for a long time.

"This place is truly remote," Lin Chen muttered in a low voice, then immediately realizing her voice might expose them, she quickly covered her mouth and looked cautiously at Lin Fan.

Lin Fan turned back and nodded slightly, signaling everyone to remain quiet.

Just as the group was wondering where this small path led, the scene before them suddenly changed—the view ahead suddenly opened up.

An old castle-style building appeared in their line of sight. The building was dark all over, its walls covered in vines and moss, with an ancient and oppressive architectural style that carried an eerie aura.

Around the castle, several small residential buildings were scattered. These structures also appeared old and dilapidated, with most of their windows covered in dust, some even boarded up, as if they hadn't been inhabited for a long time.

"This place…" Lin Chen blinked, speaking softly, her tone laced with unease.

"There is something strange here." Lin Fan observed the surroundings calmly and whispered, "Be careful, do not leave the range of the concealment shield."

The insectoid man showed no intention of stopping, continuing to walk straight toward the castle. His movements were calm and composed, as if he were accustomed to this place.

Lin Fan watched the castle, a flash of coldness in his eyes, and whispered: "Follow closely, perhaps an important clue we need is hidden here."

The group nodded without hesitation, continuing to hide their figures as they cautiously followed the insectoid man's footsteps, approaching the castle.

After getting closer to the castle, they discovered that the small residential buildings surrounding it, though dilapidated, each held their own mysteries.

In front of every building, small vendors were setting up stalls, selling items that left the group dumbfounded.

The nearest stall was filled with crystal-clear jade bottles containing colorful liquids.

A sign on the side was written in ancient characters: "Blazing Dragon Marrow Wine — One sip burns away the mortal body, ignites potential, and achieves a Breakthrough."

The wine seller was a fat old man with a fawning smile, constantly pitching to passing customers:

"This is a supreme treasure taken from the Dragon Bone Mountain Secret Realm. Each bottle can cause your spiritual power to skyrocket, making a Breakthrough of your Bottleneck no longer a dream!"

Looking at the next stall, there was an insectoid woman wearing sci-fi tight-fitting combat armor. Her stall displayed various strange objects:

"Psionic Chip": Said to be directly implantable into the neural network, instantly enhancing memory and computational ability;

"Quantum Void Realm Device": A high-end weapon accessory capable of directly reading the target's actions three seconds into the future;

"Gene Leap Liquid": Claimed to activate deep potential, allowing the user's physical strength and Mental Energy to reach a brand-new height.

However, what truly left the group stunned was a stall covered by a red cloth.

The stall owner was a bewitching Fox race woman with a curvaceous figure, a seductive smile on her face, and a voice that was soft and bone-melting:

"Come and take a look; this is the perfect choice to ensure your nights are never lonely."

After the red cloth was lifted, the group immediately saw various "special items":

"Dragon Yang Holy Pill": A crimson pill, said to be refined from the essence blood of a Nine-Tailed Fire Dragon and hundreds of precious herbs. After consuming it, not only can one quickly restore spiritual power, but it also increases the user's stamina several times over, lasting for a full day and night.

The stall owner added slyly: "And it has one special effect: it makes you the Dominator of the night; conquering several women in one night is no longer a dream."

Is this an aphrodisiac???

The atmosphere of the entire market was filled with chaos and confusion, with all sorts of rare treasures and strange, bizarre items that dazzled the eye.

Some were purchasing Spiritual Artifacts, some were haggling, and others were laughing while drinking the Dragon Marrow Wine, but most were gathered in front of the Dragon Yang Holy Pill, clamoring to buy it.

"This place is truly decadent. I'm afraid we've entered a hidden red-light district," Lin Fan whispered.

"Looking at this setup, it definitely is. Let's follow him in and see what this insectoid man is doing," Dan Xiner suggested.

The group closely followed the insectoid man, silently sneaking into the castle.

After stepping into the castle, the scene before them became even more magnificent, with an air of luxury displayed everywhere.

The hall was brilliantly lit. A giant chandelier made of star crystals hung from the ceiling, with iridescent pearls embedded between the crystals, and the floor was covered with a soft golden silk carpet.

Guests dressed in gorgeous attire gathered in twos and threes, clinking glasses, with hypocritical smiles on their faces.

Attendants in black and white uniforms, expressionless, moved through the crowd carrying trays, handing out glass cups filled with rare spiritual wine, their movements skilled and elegant.

As soon as the insectoid man stepped into the hall, a maid wearing a red dress approached him. She smiled and said softly:

"Distinguished guest, your room is ready. Please follow me."

The insectoid man nodded and then followed the maid away.

The group dared not be the least bit careless and continued to quietly follow behind.

The insectoid man was led to a quiet corridor, where valuable paintings of various styles hung on the walls.

Finally, the maid stopped in front of an ancient and heavy wooden door, respectfully pushed it open, and whispered: "Please enter, sir. He is already waiting for you inside."

The insectoid man walked in, and the group took the opportunity to hide at the doorway, holding their breath and focusing.

Inside the room, a middle-aged man dressed in black sat on the sofa. He had a gaunt face and wore sunglasses. He elegantly held a glass of red wine with both hands. Through the shadows of his sunglasses, his gaze was sharp and sinister.

Seeing the insectoid man enter, he immediately stood up, revealing a warm smile: "Mr. Sal, you've come again!"

The insectoid man, Sal, sneered and reached out to shake hands with the man in black: "Of course, after all, the business here always satisfies me."

The man in black nodded with a laugh: "The old rules, the same as always. This time, the Elf Girls being transported will pass through here, and our people are already prepared."

As he spoke, he turned around, picked up a piece of parchment from the table, and handed it to the insectoid man: "Here is the route map. We will still follow the old rules: a 30/70 split."

The insectoid man took the map, glanced at it briefly, and nodded: "Good, happy to cooperate."

Hearing this, Lin Fan's expression darkened, and a flash of killing intent swept through his eyes. "It really is a scheme involving the Elf Race. We must find the Elf Girls being transported."

Lin Chen bit her lip and gently grabbed Lin Fan's sleeve. "We must save them!"

Xiao Du frowned and said: "But our world-breaking pendant is already overloaded."

Xiao Du's words were like a bucket of cold water, extinguishing half of the impulse in their hearts. Xiao Du continued:

"If you change history, the load on the world-breaking pendant will completely overload. At that point, we may be trapped in this time dimension forever, or even simply cease to exist."
