Chapter 59: Blade
Whether the world is in chaos or not, the Godzilla Cult decides.
By selling various Kaiju weapons, the Godzilla Cult plunged many countries into turmoil, with some governments changing hands multiple times.
But the most anxious, of course, was the American Empire.
Originally, they wanted to acquire the Godzilla Cult's technology, but instead of getting it, they suffered significant losses.
Most importantly, as those monsters fell into the hands of other countries, wouldn't the technology become public through reverse engineering?
This was something they could not allow.
Another round of offensives against the Godzilla Cult began again!
However, what they didn't expect was this:
If they could plant spies in the Godzilla Cult, then why couldn't the Godzilla Cult develop their own people?
One must remember, that was a capitalist country, the easiest to manipulate.
Especially those syndicates; facing the temptation of longevity, how many could resist?
It could be said that, on the surface, the Godzilla Cult and the American Empire were at loggerheads.
But most of the American Empire's high-ranking officials were quite close to the Godzilla Cult.
Only a few naive individuals were genuinely targeting the Godzilla Cult.
If it weren't for the Godzilla Cult needing a few overtly hostile individuals to attract attention, they would have made those people disappear long ago.
Then, the world fell into a strange equilibrium, which lasted for a long time.
— Meanwhile, on Godzilla's side, the Monster Factory had cultivated several Kaiju over the past decade.
Basically, a Kaiju could be cultivated in just over a year.
Among them, Kaiju with enhanced long-range attack capabilities were the most numerous.
There were four in total, placed in the four directions of the Monster Factory.
These Kaiju were called Turrets by Godzilla; they had three pairs of legs, a cylindrical upper body that rose high, and a very bloated lower body with a lot of fat, a large mouth full of sharp teeth, and very large Eyes, looking like a strange large cannon from a distance.
The power of the Electromagnetic Cannon released by this Creature was even greater than that of an Electromagnetic Beast.
The cylindrical tube provided a stable trajectory, and the fat in the lower body provided sufficient electricity.
A pair of excellent Eyes could lock onto all targets within sight.
Godzilla even installed biological radar on them, capable of detecting all targets within range.
These Turrets could provide powerful firepower to protect the Monster Factory.
If the Monster Factory were not still small in scale, Godzilla would definitely produce more Turrets and fill the entire Underwater Temple.
In addition to the four Turrets, there were also three "Blades" that enhanced close-combat ability, and one "Heavy Crab" that enhanced defense.
The "Blade" was a Kaiju similar to a mantis.
However, compared to a mantis, this Kaiju was more dangerous.
As for the "Heavy Crab," its appearance did not change much from what Godzilla had envisioned.
The Heavy Crab's entire body was covered in hard carapace, and its limbs and head could retract, making itself invulnerable.
The Kaiju with Electromagnetic Pulse and discharge abilities that were envisioned were canceled by Godzilla.
Discharge ability was standard for all Kaiju, and Electromagnetic Pulse was directly installed by Godzilla on the Heavy Crab.
Besides optimized defense, it had to have some other abilities, right?
Then, Godzilla began to command the Monster Factory to produce these three types of Kaiju.
Over the past decade,
In addition to cultivating Kaiju, Godzilla did not give up searching for other worlds.
In ten years, Godzilla did indeed find several Kaiju.
But these worlds were not worth Godzilla making a special trip.
Although these worlds seemed to have some relatively special things, for Godzilla, they felt a bit like something that was tasteless to eat but a pity to discard.
So Godzilla never went to those worlds.
However, as more and more Kaiju were produced, an idea suddenly popped into Godzilla's mind.
This way, perhaps it would work!
He acted on the thought.
Thus, for the first time, Godzilla did not personally cross worlds, but opened a passage to another world and stabilized it.
The energy consumed in this process was lower than expected, and the operation was very smooth.
It seemed that the abilities obtained from the Kaiju were once again manifested.
Looking at the hundred-meter-high passage in front of him, Godzilla summoned a "Blade" and had it enter the passage.
After the "Blade" entered the passage, Godzilla did not close it, but reduced it to less than one millimeter and hid it.
And Godzilla himself, lying beside the passage, focused his mind on the "Blade" in the other world!
Godzilla was unsure whether the consciousness link between him and the Kaiju he created could cross worlds.
However, with a "hole" present, it was different.
With a deliberately left gap, Godzilla's connection with the "Blade" on the other side was quite stable, without any instances of unstable "signal."
Thus, Godzilla immediately controlled the "Blade" to move.
The world the "Blade" crossed into was called "Anaconda."
A classic horror movie.
But unfortunately, Godzilla truly didn't care for the things inside; making a special trip to this world was less satisfying than just lying around in his own world, clearing his mind and zoning out.
But now, with the "Blade" doing the work, Godzilla naturally wouldn't continue to be troubled.
Aside from occasionally issuing commands, Godzilla did not take over the "Blade's" body.
And this act of placing his mind on another Kaiju, watching through its vision, was like watching a movie, something worth Godzilla's time.
On the other side, the "Blade" arrived in a dense forest.
The ubiquitous trees made the "Blade" feel novel.
This "Blade" was only a few years old, and it had a strong curiosity about everything around it.
So, it used its auxiliary limb to pull out a tree, put it in its mouth, bit it with its sharp teeth, and found the taste to be strange.
The Kaiju's food was all provided by the Monster Factory; this was its first time eating plants, and with soil on them.
After taking a bite, the "Blade" casually discarded it.
It still had a mission.
It needed to find a group of snakes, then follow that group of snakes to find some flowers, and then bring the flowers to the [Overlord]!
However, the appearance of "snakes" and "flowers" had already been transmitted to its mind by the "Main Brain."
Those snakes had no hands, feet, or claws; how did they move?
The "Blade" decided that after finding the snakes, it would study them carefully.
