Chapter 59: Hand Severed at the Wrist

Because she was too agitated, Liu Ruohua gripped Su Luo's hand very tightly, her strength so great it almost snapped her wrist.

Su Luo's eyes darkened. She caught Nangong Liuyun’s eye out of the corner of her vision and suddenly let out a muffled groan.

Nangong Liuyun’s face instantly became arrogant and sinister. It was unclear how he had moved, but an afterimage of a sleeve was seen flying past—

And then, that was that.

Because at this moment, Liu Ruohua was no longer in this Private Box on the Second Floor.

Her slender body shot toward the First Floor Hall like an arrow, rolling heavily onto the ground and landing flat on her back, the pain nearly causing her to faint.

It was unclear if Nangong Liuyun had done it on purpose, but although Liu Ruohua's fellow disciples leaped up one after another with open arms, not a single one of them managed to catch her.

Moreover, when Liu Ruohua fell, she happened to crash right onto Young Master Zhao’s corpse. She opened her eyes and found herself staring straight into Young Master Zhao’s distorted, wide-eyed gaze.

“Ah—” Liu Ruohua shrieked in terror and scrambled up, only to find the floor slick with thick, spreading blood.

Unfortunately, Liu Ruohua’s feet slipped, and she miserably collapsed to the ground once more…

As she fell, a long sword happened to be standing right beside her…

By now, her entire body, face, and hair were covered in blood… filthy and reeking, making people hardly dare to approach her.

“Ruohua, how are you? Are you hurt?” Three or four young men immediately rushed forward and surrounded Liu Ruohua like stars orbiting the moon, each looking incredibly nervous.

“My hand… it hurts so much…” Liu Ruohua’s face was pale with pain, and she was on the verge of fainting.

“Heavens, this hand…” Liu Ruohua's friend Li Wan covered her mouth and nose with her hands when she saw the hand, her eyes filled with complete shock.

At this moment, Liu Ruohua’s right hand had been severed at the wrist, and blood was gushing continuously from the wound. It was a terrifying sight.

Su Luo’s beautiful eyes were deep, a hint of interest flashing within them. She looked at Nangong Liuyun with a half-smile and said, “How brutal. Severed at the wrist—isn't that a bit too unchivalrous?”

Nangong Liuyun’s shrewdness and calculation were truly profound.

After Liu Ruohua was thrown down, every subsequent reaction had been within his calculations.

Including her jumping up in fear, falling, and smashing her own right wrist against the cold sword… every step was incredibly precise, almost as if he had planned for everything.

Such a Nangong Liuyun was undoubtedly terrifying.

Choosing to be his enemy was the height of foolishness.

A trace of hidden worry flashed through Su Luo’s heart… If he were sincerely determined to have her, what should she do?

“A pure and kind girl shouldn't take pleasure in others' misfortunes.” Nangong Liuyun’s pale, slender fingers stroked her right wrist, a flash of pity in his eyes. His voice was wicked and deep as he asked, “Does it still hurt?”

Su Luo did not dare to look at the deep meaning in his eyes and quickly turned her head away, saying calmly, “It doesn't hurt anymore.”

She tried to pull her hand back, but Nangong Liuyun had already pressed down on it, clutching her fair, jade-like hand firmly within his warm, broad palm and slowly stroking it, as if he cherished it immensely.

The sensation of his thick palm gave Su Luo an unprecedented sense of security.

The surroundings seemed very quiet, as if only the two of them remained in the entire world.

However, at that very moment, the door to the Private Box was kicked open!
