Chapter 60: The Tribulation of the Elf Girls (Part 1)

Inside the prisoner wagon, the Elf Girls watched this scene in terror.

A young Elf Girl hugged her companion, trembling, tears sliding down her pale cheeks: "W-where did these monsters come from?"

In the dense forest in the distance, Sarr watched the chaos with cold eyes, the sneer on his lips deepening.

He stretched his shoulders, and two pairs of transparent insect wings flashed from behind him, vibrating slightly and creating an eerie humming sound.

He murmured: "Perhaps I should act early, lest I lose the important cargo."

The tide of the Blood Ant insect swarm completely engulfed the convoy, and the guards' defensive line collapsed quickly.

The orc guards brandished their thick halberds, attempting to sweep away the surging Blood Ants, but they were completely unable to block such a dense number.

A lizardman guard let out a desperate roar; his leg had already been bitten through by the Blood Ants, blood flowing onto the ground, and even the bone could be clearly seen.

"Ah! Help! These monsters!" A Goblin was forced by the Blood Ants to scramble onto the prisoner wagon, screaming and shouting.

However, those Blood Ants did not stop because of this; they quickly climbed onto the prisoner wagon, surrounding the Goblin completely.

Another Goblin clutched the handle of the cart, trembling, and said in a shaky voice: "It's no use, run! Otherwise, none of us will survive!"

"Shut up! Pull the prisoner wagon away!" the lizardman captain roared. His arm had already been bitten by the Blood Ants, dripping with blood; clearly, he could not hold on much longer.

The Elf Girls inside the prisoner wagon were full of terror, huddling together.

Their wrists and ankles wore heavy black iron shackles, firmly restricting their movements.

An older Elf Girl hugged her companion tightly, comforting her in a weak voice: "Don't be afraid… hold on, we will be saved…" But her eyes were filled with despair.

"Big sister, I'm so scared…" a young Elf Girl sobbed, tears falling continuously.

"Don't cry…" The older girl held back her tears, but her words trembled: "We will definitely survive."

Just as the guards were gradually falling into a desperate situation, Sarr slowly walked out from the dense forest.

His figure was tall, his limbs covered in downy hair, each strand gleaming with a dark metallic luster, and the light, delicate insect wings behind him vibrated slightly.

"It seems you can't even hold on for ten minutes." He sneered, flicking his fingers lightly.

Those dense Blood Ants seemed to have received an order; they instantly stopped attacking and began to assemble toward the prisoner wagon.

The lizardman captain panted heavily, his face pale, the tip of the halberd in his hand still dripping with blood: "Who are you? Why are you attacking us?"

"Me?" Sarr chuckled softly, revealing sharp, white teeth, "I am here to take away these precious 'cargo'. As for you, you had better not try to stop me, otherwise…" His voice turned abruptly cold, "You will die even more miserably than just now."

The lizardman captain gritted his teeth, attempting to continue resisting, but those Blood Ants had already begun to climb onto the prisoner wagon, gnawing at the girls' shackles until they creaked.

The Elf Girls inside the prisoner wagon huddled together in terror, their fearful gazes passing through the iron bars of the wagon and falling onto Sarr.

"Are you also… someone who wants to hurt us?" a trembling voice asked; it was that young Elf Girl.

Sarr's gaze swept over her, and he said coldly: "I don't want to hurt you. However… whether you can survive depends on your luck."

After speaking, he suddenly blew a bone flute, and more Blood Ants surged from all directions.

The remaining guards of the convoy changed color greatly, knowing they could not fight, and turned to try to escape.

However, the speed of the Blood Ants far exceeded theirs; they instantly caught up and crawled all over their bodies.

In the chaos, Sarr walked step by step toward the prisoner wagon, his eyes cold and indifferent.

He reached out, grabbed the chain of the prisoner wagon, and gave it a light tug; the heavy iron lock snapped instantly.

The door of the prisoner wagon creaked open, and the Elf Girls retreated in terror, shrinking into the corner.

"Let's go," Sarr said coldly, "Don't make me waste time."

The young Elf Girl huddled in the corner, raised her teary eyes, and asked in a low voice: "Will… will you hurt us?"

Sarr stopped, looked down at her, a flash of complex emotion appearing in his eyes, but he quickly returned to indifference.

He did not answer, only saying in a deep voice: "Now is not the time for you to ask questions. Follow me, otherwise bear the consequences."

The young Elf Girl was terrified by his cold and stern tone, and she couldn't help but grip the sleeve of the older Elf sister next to her.

The older Elf sister gently patted her hand, gritted her teeth, and nodded reluctantly: "We… will go."

Meanwhile, beside the prisoner wagon, Lin Fan and the others were completely concealed under a super concealment shield.

Lin Fan gripped the sword hilt tightly; on the Judgment Longsword, crimson currents surged, feeling as if he would strike the next instant.

"Now is not the time to strike," Xiao Du's voice came from behind, slightly urgent, "The clue to the Mirror Sect has not been found yet. Moreover, these Elf Girls are not in danger for the moment; we cannot alert the enemy."

"But if we delay any longer, once these Elf Girls are sent to their destination, it will be even more troublesome."

"I know what you mean. Our goal is the next stop. If we are exposed now, we won't even be able to touch the shadow of the Mirror Sect. Calm down, Master!"

Lin Fan was silent for a moment, his hand slowly loosening from the hilt, and the coldness in his eyes also subsided slightly.

"Fine, I'll listen to you; the goal is the next stop. But if the situation changes, I will not hesitate again."

Upon hearing this, Xiao Du let out a long sigh, feeling somewhat relieved, but also knew that this was merely to stabilize Lin Fan temporarily.

This guy was famous for acting on impulse; if it really came to a critical moment, he would likely still strike.

It seems he still had to think of another way to return to the Canglan Immortal Domain; relying on the world-breaking pendant was impossible.

At this moment, Sarr had already taken the Elf Girls and was walking slowly out of the convoy.

The chains that bound them had been bitten through by a group of Blood Ants, and the large iron shackles on their hands were the same.

Sarr was not afraid of the girls running away at all, because with the Blood Ants there, they couldn't escape.

Sarr did not take this group of Elf Girls back to the ancient castle, but walked straight into the depths of the dense forest.

He led them through layers of bushes to a secret entrance; this was a tunnel opened up by the Blood Ants.

The tunnel was narrow and damp, with swarms of Blood Ants crawling all over the walls, flickering with eerie red light.

The girls were forced to walk bent over, their clothes already tattered by mud and thorns.

They walked for a long time, and finally, a glimmer of light appeared ahead.

They stepped out of the tunnel full of hope, only to find that before them lay a range of rolling mountains, so silent that there was only the sound of wind and insect chirps.

Sarr did not stop, saying coldly: "Keep moving."

He led them through the mountains for a long time, then found another tunnel entrance and continued to sneak underground.

Repeating this cycle over and over, the girls' physical strength was gradually exhausted until late at night.

A young Elf Girl finally could not hold on, plopped down onto the ground, her face pale, and sobbed: "I… I really can't walk anymore…"

Sarr glanced coldly at the young Elf Girl slumped on the ground, without a trace of pity in his eyes.

He reached out and touched the bone flute, saying coldly: "What a useless thing. If it weren't for the exchange conditions, I would have fed you to the Blood Ants long ago."
