Chapter 642
If anyone still claimed that grinding monsters in the wild was definitely slower than running Dungeons,
Lin Moyu would definitely slap them awake. If they wanted to level up fast, they could just come and farm the Wind Flower groups.
Gaining a level in half a day wasn't even a dream—provided, of course, they could defeat them.
When killing the Wind Flower groups earlier, Lin Moyu had only deployed his Undead Legion and hadn't even personally made a move.
Otherwise, his efficiency could have been vastly improved.
"As long as there are enough monsters, my leveling speed can increase boundlessly!"
Lin Moyu knew he had found a shortcut to leveling up quickly.
Suppressing the excitement in his heart, he first checked his gains from this battle.
Killing the ordinary Wind Flowers had yielded countless materials of all sizes.
Fortunately, his storage space expanded along with his character level. If he were still level 40, it would have been filled to the brim long ago.
The Wind Flower Boss had dropped two legendary-grade materials: the Heart of the Wind Flower and the Wind Flower Essence, which could be used to craft or upgrade legendary equipment.
To him, these two items weren't of much use.
As for the Wind Flower Seed, it required a God-rank Plant Breeder to nurture, and as far as he knew, there were no God-rank Plant Breeders among the human race.
Useful or not, Lin Moyu put the items away.
Perhaps they would come in handy sometime in the future.
After checking his attributes, Lin Moyu flew toward the center of the Wind-Thunder Continent.
The full moon had vanished, and the entire Wind-Thunder Continent seemed to be steeped in sorrow.
Countless Wind Flowers across the continent were wailing; their king had been slain.
The aura of sorrow spread through the Sound of the Soul. Although many people couldn't hear the Sound of the Soul, they could still feel the grief within it.
Lin Moyu heard this sound and knew that the Wind Flowers were weeping.
"Weakness is the original sin. When the human race was being wantonly slaughtered by the demons back then, weeping was of no use."
"So I must become stronger, continuously stronger!"
Lin Moyu clenched his fists and told himself once again.
This was how the world worked—the law of the jungle.
Even someone as strong as Antares had been cast down here, essentially stripped of his freedom.
Antares harbored hatred, resentment, and murderous intent in his heart.
Yet when he saw the Dragon God, what could he do? He still had to address him as Lord Dragon God and conceal his hatred.
Lin Moyu did not want to be like that.
It was enough for others to experience such pain; he didn't want to experience it himself.
After Lin Moyu left, quite a few people arrived at the place where he had just been.
There were demons, dragons, and humans.
The three factions gathered, remaining wary of one another.
Quite a few had come, forming a tripartite balance that held each other in check. Surprisingly, they maintained a fair amount of peace, and no one made a move.
Everyone could feel the lingering aura left behind by the previous great battle.
"This was a battle of the God-rank level…"
"I saw the Wind Flower Blood Moon earlier, and it was actually at the God-rank. It was terrifying."
"It seems a God-rank powerhouse really came here specifically to slaughter the Wind Flower groups."
"What on earth is the origin of this God-rank powerhouse? Are they from our human race?"
The crowd speculated, but Lin Moyu had left immediately after the battle without lingering.
No matter how much they racked their brains, they would never figure it out.
The three factions confronted each other for a long time before finally dispersing.
Racial enemies who would normally fight to the death upon meeting now exercised due restraint because of the appearance of a mysterious third party.
No one wanted to be the clam and the snipe, only for the fisherman to benefit.
Lin Moyu was unaware of what had happened. He rushed toward the Lightning Mountain Range of the Wind-Thunder Continent at his fastest speed.
After flying for about half an hour, Lin Moyu suddenly stopped.
A group of Dragon War Generals blocked his path.
There were over a hundred Dragon War Generals, with the highest being level 85 and the lowest no lower than level 75. They were accompanied by a warship.
Lin Moyu wasn't surprised that the dragons would find him.
He carried a dense dragon aura, having recently slaughtered thirteen Dragon Kings of the dragon race, making this aura even more striking.
Even from hundreds of miles away, the dragons could sense it.
Upon seeing Lin Moyu, the Dragon War Generals' faces showed a mix of ferocity and hesitation.
The aura on Lin Moyu was far too dense. In their eyes, it was like billowing smoke surging into the sky.
They had never seen anything like it and couldn't fathom how many dragons Lin Moyu had slain.
(Zhao Zhao Hao)
They felt they had been too reckless in coming over; perhaps they, too, would become dead dragons at Lin Moyu's hands.
Lin Moyu quickly gave them their answer.
Lin Moyu didn't stop at all, and his Headless Knights charged out.
Activating their Charge skill, the Headless Knights rushed forward like lightning, instantly shattering the dragons' formation.
The warship was smashed to pieces by the Headless Knights, disintegrating in mid-air.
The Dragon War Generals were slain on the spot by the Headless Knights amid their terror, with only the level 85 Dragon War General managing to make a couple of symbolic counterattacks.
As for the other Dragon War Generals, they couldn't even muster the most basic counterattack.
Lin Moyu flew past without stopping. "I almost forgot, this is the dragons' territory."
"I wonder how that Secret Realm of the dragons is doing, and if the toxic gas has dispersed. I'll go back and take a look after wiping out the Wind-Thunder Trees."
He still vividly remembered the Spawn Blood Pool inside that Secret Realm from last time.
Although it could only replicate level 70 Dragon War Generals, no matter how many there were, they posed absolutely no threat to him.
However, for other Professionals, it was indeed very dangerous.
If a war were to break out, it could cause significant casualties.
Lin Moyu planned to go back and take a look. If possible, he would destroy the Spawn Blood Pool.
Chapter 616: The Kingdom of Thunder Trees
Along the way, he encountered several more groups of dragons.
They had followed his aura here, only to fall into terror upon seeing Lin Moyu.
Lin Moyu gave them no chance to escape; they all became souls slain under the swords of the Headless Knights.
An idea sprouted in Lin Moyu's mind. Perhaps he could sweep through the Wind-Thunder Continent, slaughtering all the dragons and Abyssal Demons within it to drive them out.
However, this thought was snuffed out as soon as it arose.
Although doing so would greatly increase the safety of the human race in the Lower Space,
it wasn't necessarily a good thing for the human race.
Natural selection, survival of the fittest.
Humans needed to grow stronger through battles so they wouldn't lose their fighting spirit.
The thunder grew louder and louder, and the sky was filled with lightning and thunderclaps out of the blue.
Lightning snakes slithered through the air, striking down from time to time.
The lightning fell upon the Thunder Trees and was absorbed by them.
The Thunder Trees grew continuously stronger by absorbing lightning.
Lin Moyu had already arrived at the area where the Thunder Trees were located. As far as the eye could see was the endless Thunder Tree mountain range.
The Lightning Mountain Range was the mountain range with the largest number and scale of Thunder Trees on the Wind-Thunder Continent.
Millions of Thunder Trees lived here.
No one knew how many Bosses were inside, or how strong they were.
Furthermore, there were many other monsters within the Thunder Tree groups.
They coexisted with the Thunder Trees, without interfering with each other.
This place was sparsely populated; no one was willing to come here.
While the Thunder Trees indeed wouldn't attack on their own initiative, these monsters would.
If one got entangled by the monsters, it would be highly troublesome.
If one accidentally used an area-of-effect attack and provoked the Thunder Trees, it would be a fatal mistake.
If the Thunder Trees attacked in a swarm, very few Professionals could withstand it.
However, it was still relatively safer than the Wind Flowers. As long as one's luck was good enough and they didn't go too deep, they could escape with their lives.
If one had already gone deep into the Lightning Mountain Range, they could only pray for good fortune.
Lin Moyu flew about a hundred miles into the Lightning Mountain Range and stopped, hovering high in the air as his gaze swept over the Thunder Tree groups below.
The Thunder Trees varied in height; the shorter ones had thinner trunks, while the taller ones had thicker trunks.
The differences in thickness and height also represented the varying levels of the Thunder Trees.
Normally, the taller and thicker they were, the higher their level.
This was recorded in the archives and was information known to everyone.
Lin Moyu observed closely and discovered something different.
"The Thunder Trees are grouped in units of ten thousand, with every ten thousand Thunder Trees forming a small area. The division of these areas isn't obvious, but you can still spot it if you look closely."
Lin Moyu murmured to himself. He saw that the Thunder Tree groups were indeed divided into distinct areas, with a gap of dozens of meters between each area.
And within these gaps, some monsters could be seen living.
If the entire Lightning Mountain Range were viewed as a kingdom, then these areas would be the cities within that kingdom.
Each city was clearly demarcated.
Each area happened to contain exactly ten thousand Thunder Trees, and among those ten thousand, there was one that grew exceptionally thick and large. It was the leader, and also a World Boss.
Judging by the aura it emitted, Lin Moyu roughly estimated it to be around level 80.
(cjac) His gaze continued to drift deeper, and Lin Moyu flew toward the depths of the Lightning Mountain Range accordingly.
Human presence had completely vanished here, leaving only a world of lightning and Thunder Trees.
Even the Wind Flowers could not survive here.
Lin Moyu observed along the way and noticed a lot of different information.
The Thunder Trees lived in clusters of ten thousand.
Once the number exceeded one hundred thousand, an even thicker Thunder Tree would appear among them to become the leader of these one hundred thousand Thunder Trees.
The area formed by these one hundred thousand Thunder Trees was like a province within a kingdom.
"Looking at it this way, there should be a true king among the Thunder Trees that rules over them all."
"And this king should be at the center of the Lightning Mountain Range."
Lin Moyu looked toward the center of the Lightning Mountain Range, his Soul Power spreading out accordingly.
Coincidentally, a sudden bolt of thunder lit up the distant sky.
