Chapter 691 The Resurrection of the Three Dark Emperors

The end of the Realm Sea, the Land of Darkness!

This was an extremely terrifying region, thick with black mist and devoid of any sign of life, its deathly stillness chilling to the bone.

Here, even Immortal Kings could not set foot; it was the greatest Forbidden Land since ancient times, where all who entered met their end.

Upon the vast earth, the skeletons visible everywhere were the best proof.

If anyone were to reach the depths of the darkness, they would be shocked to see a massive complex of palaces.

There was actually a Darkness Heavenly Court here!

“Buzz!”

On this day, movement occurred within the originally deathly silent Central Heavenly Palace; a supreme being was awakening.

It was a withered figure sitting high upon a jade chair. It was unknown how long he had been slumbering, but a thick layer of dust had settled upon his loose emperor's robes.

“Chiss!”

Suddenly, this being opened his eyes. The radiance was so intimidating, like two suns in the darkness.

His hair was entirely gray, and even the whites of his eyes were dim, but his pupils were golden and incredibly sharp, enough to glare an Immortal King to death.

Clearly, this was an incomparably powerful existence. Just by sitting there, he carried an aura of eternal indestructibility. “Hong Emperor, Yu Emperor—after an eternal slumber, it is time for you to awaken. Two more anomalies have appeared in the heavens!”

The gray-haired man spoke abruptly, his voice incredibly ancient and weathered, as if coming from hundreds of millions of years ago, possessing immense penetration.

The entire Darkness Heavenly Court shook at this moment, the mist churning as if unable to withstand it, large sections collapsing.

“Boom!”

In the next moment, at the end of the horizon, a purple-gold Great Dao appeared, rumbling and accompanied by divine birds dancing and golden lotuses taking root.

Another being appeared and entered the Darkness Heavenly Court. He wore a purple-gold crown and had a tall build, his pressure making one feel suffocated.

This being was also terrifyingly powerful!

One could see that around him, marks of the various heavens appeared in abundance, surrounding him with countless visions; it was truly astonishing.

“Cang Emperor!”

The newcomer spoke, his voice rumbling and breaking through time and space, accompanied by the power of ages, also ranked in the Quasi-Immortal Emperor realm.

Clearly, these two knew each other. One was honored as the Cang Emperor, and the other as the Hong Emperor, both regarding themselves as Emperors.

“Yu Emperor, only you are left. If you do not awaken now, then when?”

The Hong Emperor said, his entire body surging with purple Qi, standing upon a path of light constructed from Dao symbols, looking down upon the eternal heavens.

His voice was so resonant that it could practically penetrate the River of Time, reaching everywhere regardless of distance.

“Rumble!”

Just as he finished speaking, in the depths of the Ultimate Ancient Land, a blazing light filled the sky, brilliant and magnificent, illuminating all directions as Emperor Might emerged.

Then, an ancient chariot sped along, carrying an unparalleled being into the world, emitting a blinding radiance that suppressed everything between heaven and earth.

It was truly astonishing!

The chariot rumbled, pulled by nine ancient beasts. As they galloped, fragments of time flew about, as if they had charged forth from eternal ages past.

These nine ancient beasts were also not simple, emitting boundless Divine Might. Each had prominent horns and sharp scales; it was unknown what race they belonged to.

“Roar!”

At this moment, the nine ancient beasts pulled that Nine-Colored Immortal Metal Chariot, disturbing the Universe, and arrived here in an instant.

“Cang Emperor, Hong Emperor, what matter has disturbed my slumber?”

From atop the chariot, a low voice rang out. It wasn't very loud, yet it caused the cosmic star seas to crack.

This was a terrifying being, carrying a fearsome Emperor Might, surrounded by a mist of Holy Light rain, as he looked toward the other two present.

This was also a Quasi-Immortal Emperor!

Within a single day, three Emperors had gathered. If the people of the Immortal Realm were to find out, they would absolutely go mad, their jaws dropping in shock!

“After an eternal slumber, have two more Emperors appeared in the world? Pity they do not understand the heavenly secrets. If they persist in their ways, we will have no choice but to send them on their way!”

The Hong Emperor's words were full of dominance. As his eyes turned, they pierced through infinite time and space, looking toward the direction of the Realm Sea.

“Ignorant of fate, to dare become our enemies… even as Quasi-Immortal Emperors, they are destined to perish, following in the footsteps of that being!”

The Yu Emperor spoke dominantly, a pair of holy wings upon his back. His entire person was powerful and cold, permeated by a surge of Killing Intent.

Most striking was that he held an Emperor Spear; even now, the tip of the spear was dripping with blood, crimson and eye-catching.

One must know, this was no simple blood; it belonged to that Nameless Quasi-Immortal Emperor of the Era of Emperor Fall who went to the Realm Sea to quell the chaos.

As for the result, it was predictable: he failed and was pinned to death by the Yu Emperor's spear!

However, after that battle, the Cang Emperor, Hong Emperor, and Yu Emperor were also injured and slumbered for a long time until now.

Now, after several epochs, the three Quasi-Immortal Emperors of darkness have gathered and descended upon the mortal world once more. What are they planning?

If the beings of the heavens were to find out, it would surely be earth-shattering!

“We must not be careless. Every Quasi-Immortal Emperor is the protagonist of their era and can be called an anomaly!”

“In the past, one might not appear even after several epochs. In this generation, two have actually appeared; it is not a good omen!”

The Cang Emperor frowned, feeling that perhaps this time would be different. He turned his gaze toward a certain place in the Ultimate Ancient Land.

There, a few uncorrupted remains lay on the ground, enveloped in firelight and emitting a mournful radiance; they belonged to Immortal Kings!

Most notably, in the most prominent spot, a being sat cross-legged. He was the most unusual, emitting the prestige of a Quasi-Immortal Emperor.

However, strangely, he had no body, having turned into a mass of flames that stood there eternally inextinguishable.

This was exactly that Nameless Quasi-Immortal Emperor!

“Hmph, the person is dead, yet he still thinks of protecting an ant. Does he want to defy heaven?” the Cang Emperor said coldly.

As the Dominators of this place, nothing here could naturally escape their eyes.

Within that firelight, there was also a willow tree with a shattered form, only a foot tall and on the verge of complete extinction, drifting up and down.

If Lin Fan and Shi Hao were here and saw this willow tree, they would surely cry out, recognizing it as the Willow Deity!

Lamentably, the Willow Deity entered the Realm Sea, intending to reach the Ultimate Land with her Primordial Spirit to settle the source of the chaos, but she fell here instead.

If not for the protection of that mass of Quasi-Immortal Emperor fire, it would have long since withered away completely; otherwise, both its form and spirit would have been extinguished long ago.

“Let's see how much longer you can hold on!”

The Cang Emperor and the others did not take action in the end. It wasn't that they couldn't obliterate it, but that they would have to pay a price, which wasn't worth it.

Because once a Quasi-Immortal Emperor is involved, if one suffers damage, the time required to recover would be immense.

Precisely because of this, the humanoid flame had been preserved until now, never having been extinguished, thereby protecting the Willow Deity.

“After being silent for eternal ages, it is time for us to set out.”

“The opponents seem to have sensed us as well. They didn't choose to cross the sea but are instead lurking on the other side, showing some cunning.”

The Hong Emperor said chillingly, his aura incredibly blazing.

“Correct. We cannot give them any more chances. The more variables there are, the more disadvantageous it is for us. We must take the initiative to kill our way over.”

The Cang Emperor nodded, his gray hair draped over his shoulders, his golden pupils shining brilliantly.

He had long wanted to kill his way over, but was hindered by being alone. Now that he had awakened two powerful helpers, who in the heavens could contend with them?

Even the two Quasi-Immortal Emperors on the other side of the sea wouldn't do; their cultivation years were still shallow, so how much Dao power could they have accumulated?

Besides, there are more than just the three of them as Darkness Quasi-Immortal Emperors—

“There is no time to lose. Let us set out immediately. After waiting for countless epochs, it is time to begin a new round of sacrifice!”

The Yu Emperor took the lead, his chariot rumbling with a sound that shook the River of Time, his Crimson Spear pointing directly into the distance.
