Chapter 70

Most ordinary students at the academy entered through The Great Exam.

However, the composition of students within the various colleges is much more complex, as some are trained internally by the colleges themselves.

They possess good family backgrounds and excellent bloodlines, having received an abundance of resources since childhood.

At the same age, their levels have already far surpassed those of ordinary students.

By the time others are taking The Great Exam, they have generally already surpassed Level 20, or even higher.

Thus, they are more arrogant, and some even look down upon ordinary students.

Take Ling Zhen, for example; he even looks down on a national top scorer like Lin Moyu.

In the history of Xiajing Academy, those national or provincial top scorers were indeed inferior to them when they first entered the academy.

They started too late; their levels, knowledge, equipment, and skills were all inferior. The only thing they could compare was their profession.

This situation would only improve after two or three years, once their levels increased and they had acquired the necessary knowledge.

Some of the outstanding ones would eventually join the various colleges and become members.

Those who were not outstanding enough would remain ordinary students.

The existence of these colleges distinguishes the geniuses from the ordinary students.

In the blink of an eye, Lin Moyu had figured this out, and he was completely indifferent to it.

Anyway, it didn't affect his leveling.

Moreover, he had no intention of teaming up with others.

He preferred soloing.

Entering the Dungeon Hall, Lin Moyu went straight to the entrance of the Spider Nest Dungeon.

The cooldown had just ended, which saved him 40 points.

He selected the Nightmare difficulty and entered.

The Skeleton Warriors appeared in response.

The route was familiar, as were the caves.

"The map hasn't changed; it's the same fixed map as when I came last time."

"Since that's the case, a speedrun is entirely possible; 20 minutes should be about right."

Lin Moyu silently calculated in his mind and had a rough idea.

However, he didn't choose a speedrun for this round; instead, he optimized the route.

He skipped places that were too far away, deliberately choosing closer caves and having the Skeleton Warriors pull all the large and small spiders from within.

In this way, he could gain most of the experience while saving a significant amount of time.

This optimized his efficiency.

According to his calculations, his Dungeon clearing speed could be increased by about twofold.

He could clear the Dungeon in 50 minutes at most.

And he could harvest about 70% of the experience points.

Thus, efficiency was greatly improved.

This was the method he had thought of last night, and there shouldn't be any problems.

Lin Moyu followed the skeleton squad as they advanced, with skeletons occasionally bringing large numbers of spiders from behind.

The sounds of explosions rang out from time to time, constantly echoing throughout the Spider Nest.

The experience points kept rising.

When they were halfway through, the light of leveling up already appeared on Lin Moyu's body.

This was also within his calculations, so when his meditation ended, he had consumed 80% of his mental strength to summon four Skeleton Warriors.

He knew he would complete his level-up halfway through.

After this level-up, his mental strength fully recovered once again.

Lin Moyu did not summon more Skeleton Warriors; he saved his mental strength to deal with the final boss.

Yesterday, the Spider King's skills had caused some damage to the Skeleton Warriors.

Today, such a thing could not happen again.

The leveled-up Skeleton Warriors were even more powerful, with their four-dimensional attributes reaching 6200.

Their attack power was even stronger.

Coupled with Lin Moyu's Corpse Explosion, they swept through everything.

Just 40 minutes later, the squad had reached the end of the Dungeon.

The Skeleton Warriors quickly cut through the blocking spider webs, revealing the passage inside.

Once they crossed the passage, they would be where the Spider King was located.

Lin Moyu didn't rush in; instead, he stood in a cave to the side.

Click, click.

The sounds became increasingly dense; besides the sounds of the Skeleton Warriors, there was the sound of a large number of insects crawling.

Several Skeleton Warriors ran over, followed by thousands of small spiders.

They rushed into the passage and ran toward where the Spider King was located.

"As long as these small spiders can be dragged near the Spider King…"

If that were the case, Lin Moyu could use Corpse Explosion directly and basically kill the Spider King instantly.

The idea was good, but the result was not ideal.

The small spiders seemed to fear the Spider King's aura.

They all stopped at the entrance of the passage and refused to enter.

Seeing this, Lin Moyu knew his plan had failed.

At least, it didn't work in the Spider Nest Dungeon.

Soul Fire flashed, followed by several violent explosions.

The small spiders at the entrance were cleared away.

Lin Moyu passed through and then summoned all the Skeleton Warriors.

120 Skeleton Warriors, with four-dimensional attributes as high as 6200, brandished their large blades and charged at the Spider King.

With that momentum, if the Spider King had any intelligence, it would definitely be scared to death.

The Spider King opened its mouth, preparing to spit a web.

Skill: Soul Fire!

Skill: Slow Curse!

The two skills were cast one after another, and the Spider King suddenly let out a heaven-shaking scream.

This time, Lin Moyu didn't even give the Spider King a chance to spit its web.

The Skeleton Warriors didn't jump onto its body either; instead, they all concentrated on its legs.

Fifteen skeletons were evenly distributed to each of the spider's legs.

Not one more, not one less; they were distributed very evenly.

Red light flickered on the large blades.

Skill: Berserk Strike.

The Spider King let out a scream as the armor on its legs was completely shattered, revealing the flesh inside.

Lin Moyu's Soul Fire had not stopped since the beginning.

Attacking the Spider King's mental world again and again, it didn't give it any chance to cast skills…

The Spider King's mental attributes were not strong, so Soul Fire was effective.

Up until now, Lin Moyu had not encountered any monster that could resist Soul Fire.

This type of mental attack ignored defense and was very difficult to resist.

The Skeleton Warriors surrounded the spider legs, attacking like blacksmiths hammering iron.

Moreover, the points of attack were almost all the same.

Finally, accompanied by a loud bang, the Spider King's leg was severed, and its massive body suddenly crashed to the ground.

It had no power to resist at all, faring much worse than last time.

It screamed incessantly, the cave shook, and countless small spiders crawled out from all around.

"It will die even faster."

Once the small spiders had gathered, it was a series of explosions.

Corpse Explosion was definitely a god-tier skill. In less than two minutes, the Spider King died an aggrieved death under Corpse Explosion.

Its whole body was left without a single piece of good flesh. Although these small spiders didn't have high vitality.

They were numerous, after all.

Lin Moyu had consumed almost half of his mental strength to eliminate the Spider King in less than two minutes.

"That was a bit of a waste."

Afterwards, Lin Moyu felt that his fighting style was a bit wasteful.

With so much mental strength, it really only bought him about 1 minute of time.

Otherwise, he could have summoned two more Skeleton Warriors.

After all, he only had 120 Skeleton Warriors now, while the Summoning Space already had 190 slots, with 70 spots still waiting for him to fill.

In the Dungeon Hall, a bell rang.

The people outside the hall rushed in one after another.

Breaking records always aroused the curiosity and surprise of others.

"Someone broke a record again."

"Which big shot is it this time?"

"I don't know which Dungeon they cleared."

Hundreds of people rushed into the Dungeon Hall, then found that glowing light screen.

"It's the Spider Nest."

"So it's just a Level 20 Dungeon."

"Could it be that student from yesterday?"

"Come to think of it, that's really possible. I just saw him go in this morning."

A new record appeared on the light screen.

The previous first place moved down one spot, and the new record appeared at the very top.

[Lin Moyu, Level 19, Necromancer, 47 minutes 22 seconds.]

"Wow! It really is him."

"He just set a new record for the Mutated Forest Dungeon yesterday, and today he set a new record for the Spider Nest Dungeon."

"The key is that he's soloing; this is just too terrifying."

"How on earth did he do it? Is the Necromancer profession really that powerful?"

"No, I think besides his profession being powerful, he might also have a talent."

Hiss!

Everyone gasped.
