Chapter 71: A Perfect Match (1)

More than a dozen maidens, with fair, jade-like hands holding flower baskets, flew gracefully through the air in two rows.

A light breeze swept past, and petals fluttered down like glistening snow, beautiful and magnificent.

Each of them wore simple white dresses, their postures graceful. Although their looks weren't breathtakingly beautiful, they were all slender and pure, with an ethereal charm, seemingly untouched by worldly vulgarity, like transcendent fairies who didn't partake in earthly food.

Their fingers were delicate, their waists slender, and their steps light and graceful, like Lingbo Fairies or dancing sprites, impossibly beautiful.

In their midst, an exquisitely luxurious flower palanquin, so stunning it was suffocating, was carried by four maidens, arriving gracefully.

Before long, the flower palanquin floated down lightly, settling steadily before Nangong Liuyun.

What a grand display, what a powerful Aura. Su Luo wondered to herself, who could be inside the flower palanquin?

She looked up at Nangong Liuyun, seeing his lips slightly curved, containing a brilliant and dazzling light, as if his eyes and brows were smiling.

Su Luo was certain that this person was an old acquaintance of Nangong Liuyun, and he was very happy to see her.

Su Luo's eyes narrowed slightly, her expression unchanged, but her interest in the person in the flower palanquin grew.

From within, a youthful Fairy slowly stepped out.

She was dressed in white, pure as snow, standing against the wind, her skirt fluttering. She looked like a Fairy who didn't partake in earthly food, yet she radiated dazzling brilliance and charm.

This was a woman of extreme beauty, like a secluded orchid in a desolate valley. It was as if she embodied the spiritual essence of heaven and earth, gathering the essence of all things. Everyone seemed to feel ashamed of themselves in her presence.

At this moment, she stood gracefully, her lips like vermilion, her pure and exquisite face holding a faint smile, silently looking at Nangong Liuyun.

Her eyes seemed indifferent and distant, yet they also seemed to be veiled by a layer of mist, behind which lay tender affection.

Nangong Liuyun's usually cold and cruel icy eyes seemed to crack slightly, and his deep, ink-black beautiful eyes were enchanting and wicked, brimming with a smile.

He was very familiar and intimate with her, completely unlike his attitude towards Su Luo.

"Why are you here?" Nangong Liuyun's snowy eyes showed a hint of concern.

"Didn't you come too?" Her smile was beautiful, her lovely eyes misty, making her seem pitifully charming.

The two of them chatted and laughed, seemingly forming a world of their own, with everyone else being superfluous.

Liu Ruohua stood beside Su Luo, her face now showing such obvious mockery. She cruelly sneered, "Do you really think His Highness Prince Jin likes you? Don't you even look to see if you're worthy?"

Su Luo's dark eyes reflected a cold and magnificent luster under the sunlight. She gave her a half-smile, "The outcome of meddling isn't very pleasant, you know."

As she spoke, her gaze fell upon Liu Ruohua's right hand, which was wrapped in gauze, severed at the wrist.

Liu Ruohua's eyes were filled with intense hatred and malice, but soon, she gave a chilling smile: "See? They are a match made in heaven. You are nothing but mud under their feet! You're not even worthy of carrying His Highness Prince Jin's shoes!"
