Chapter 77: Mission, Chapter 3

Lin Fan slowly placed the heavenly dao divine weapon into the Storage Pouch gifted by Lin Chen.

The exterior of the Storage Pouch was exquisite, with intricate embroidery on the fabric catching his eye; in particular, the chibi-style embroidery, stitched with such care and precision, looked so lifelike that it warmed Lin Fan's heart.

As the Storage Pouch vanished into Void Evasion, Lin Fan's Clone suddenly appeared beside him, holding an identical Storage Pouch in its hand.

The Clone Lin Fan chuckled, looking exceptionally smug as it quickly stowed the demon blade into the pouch and retrieved the heavenly dao divine weapon.

With a gentle wave, the heavenly dao divine weapon carved a sharp arc through the air, pointing forward with overwhelming might.

Under the judgment of the Heavenly Dao Order, the central structure of Watchtower Island was no longer impregnable.

Struck by the divine weapon, the powerful shield radiating from that towering building was instantly shattered.

Like a blade cutting through the sky, the core defense line of Watchtower Island proved almost defenseless.

As the shield collapsed, Lin Fan seized the opportunity to enter the core of the sci-fi-infused Watchtower Island.

Upon entering the heart of the island, Lin Fan immediately felt an awe-inspiring technological atmosphere.

The surrounding space seemed precisely calculated, symmetrical and perfect; walls with a metallic sheen flickered with a cold light, while the orbital System on the floor, like an exquisite work of art, emitted streams of pale blue energy.

The air was filled with the scent of metal and high technology, and one could even sense an oppressive high-tech force that made every step in this area feel exceptionally heavy.

The interior of the building was divided into multiple levels, with each area serving a different function.

Starting from the entrance, Lin Fan walked into a suspended hall; within the vast space, crisscrossing metal corridors stretched out, and through the massive transparent barrier, one could see the floating sea of stars outside.

In the center of the hall stood a gigantic console, emitting waves of intense energy, indicating its extremely powerful functionality.

From the center of the console, a virtual projection was suddenly cast.

This projection was not in human form, but rather an entirely different existence—its form was fluid and unstable, resembling a mass of constantly shifting light and shadow.

At its center was a bright, translucent sphere, surrounded by countless energy lines rotating like stars.

Each ray of light displayed different colors; some were as scorching as raging fire, some as cold as frost, and others resembled liquid metal, flowing with an inexplicable rhythm.

The entire projection would at times coalesce into a towering virtual structure, and at other times split into countless fragmented points of light, exuding an elusive aura.

It did not belong to any known life form; instead, it seemed more like an existence that transcended biology, or even space itself.

"Lin Fan, congratulations on winning."

A hoarse, mechanical voice echoed throughout the surroundings from the projection, "However, all valuable items within Watchtower Island have already been transferred away by me. Goodbye!"

As the last word fell, the projection rapidly disintegrated, flickering for a moment before vanishing without a trace.

The entire hall fell into a deathly silence, as if everything had frozen in time.

Suddenly, an earth-shattering roar erupted from deep within Watchtower Island.

The ground of the island began to shake violently, like a colossal monster on the verge of collapse; the surrounding metal structures twisted crazily, light danced in the air, and the energy of space surged inward like a tidal wave.

The ground split open, and a massive explosion rang out, as if a giant star had detonated deep within the island; fire and electricity intertwined, sweeping across the entire island.

"Damn it!"

The Clone Lin Fan cursed loudly; seeing the blast wave rushing toward him, he had almost no time to react.

The intense shockwave surged forward, instantly engulfing his body.

The aftermath of the explosion was like a ruthless giant wave, destroying everything in its path, and the entire space fell into chaos.

Fire, metal fragments, and energy shockwaves intertwined; the surrounding scene became blurred, with only a deafening roar echoing in his ears.

Lin Fan's Clone was instantly overwhelmed by the explosive force; his entire body was sent flying by the massive shockwave, torn apart like paper, and finally vanished into the tide of the explosion.

As the explosions of Watchtower Island gradually faded, the once-calm sea surface instantly returned to surging waves.

The wind howled and the seawater churned, as if the whole world had fallen into chaos because of that massive explosion.

On the rough sea surface, a beam of light suddenly pierced through the water and slowly rose.

That light was none other than the heavenly dao divine weapon, emitting a brilliant radiance.

Its form gradually revealed itself; crimson lightning pulsed across its silver spear body, and the surrounding seawater seemed to curve slightly under the pressure of its might.

Every inch of the judgment spear carried endless power and a mysterious aura.

Lin Fan's main body had long since traversed the Void Realm, appearing above the turbulent sea.

His gaze was as sharp as a hawk's, firmly locked onto the heavenly dao divine weapon rising from the sea.

He reached out his hand with a solemn expression, and the surrounding void seemed to tremble slightly because of him.

The heavenly dao divine weapon seemed to sense his call and slowly flew toward him.

The moment Lin Fan touched the heavenly dao divine weapon, a sense of responsibility suddenly surged in his heart.

This feeling was both heavy and profound, as if he were shouldering the fate of the entire world.

Lin Fan gave a gentle squeeze, placing the heavenly dao divine weapon into the Storage Pouch.

Just as Lin Fan placed the heavenly dao divine weapon into the Storage Pouch, a familiar notification sound rang out, breaking the surrounding silence.

"Congratulations, Young Master, for completing Chapter 2, 'Reversing the Past'."

"Mission Description: Change the traffic accident that once caused your death and begin the counterattack of fate."

"Mission Reward: None."

"No reward?" Lin Fan curled his lips slightly, appearing somewhat surprised, but he immediately let it go.

For him, the reward was not important; what mattered was that he had grasped the opportunity to change his fate.

He now possessed power greater than at any time before, and this counterattack of fate was perhaps the most important thing of all.

Just as Lin Fan was focusing his attention on his future plans, a new mission notification sound rang out again, piercing the surrounding tranquility.

"Chapter 3 of the mission initiated: Eliminate the Black Obsidian Organization remaining in the Solar System and completely repair the Heavenly Mechanism Array."

Mission Description: The remnants of the Black Obsidian Organization still exist and are secretly plotting to disrupt the stability of the Solar System.

You need to completely eliminate these remaining forces, repair the damaged Heavenly Mechanism Array, and restore the Heavenly Dao Order.

Mission Reward: Unknown.

Lin Fan frowned slightly; the mission description made him feel a powerful threat.

The Black Obsidian Organization—this was a name he had heard of before, extremely mysterious and powerful.

He knew clearly that the remnants of this organization were no ordinary foes, especially since they were hidden within the Solar System and might have already infiltrated every corner.

As for the Heavenly Mechanism Array, Lin Fan's heart stirred; whether the Heavenly Mechanism Array was repaired was clearly related to the stability of the entire Heavenly Dao Order.

And the existence of the Black Obsidian Organization was undoubtedly a huge threat to this order.

He took a deep breath, realizing that the responsibility on his shoulders had become even heavier.

Since the mission had already begun, he had no path of retreat; moreover, with his father still being held by the Black Obsidian Organization, he had no reason to refuse.

"Eliminate the remnants… repair the array…"
