Chapter 8 Aunt Shen, do you regret coming to Taiyi Sword Pool?
“Huai'an, come out for a moment.”
A deep, hoarse voice interrupted Huai'an who was Cultivating.
Huai'an walked out of the Cultivation room and looked at Pei Qinghuan, who had a tall and straight figure and wore a silver armored mask.
“Master.”
Pei Qinghuan nodded slightly and turned her head to look at the young girl beside her.
“Thank you, Young Lady Xu.”
Xu Qingyao’s fair and tender face revealed a faint smile, and she said sweetly:
“Sword Master, please rest assured, Qingyao will do her best.”
Huai'an sized up the small girl in front of him, unsure of her identity.
The three of them walked into the Cultivation room.
Xu Qingyao had Huai'an sit on a soft cushion, then she took Huai'an’s hand and carefully took his pulse.
As time passed, her brows, which had been closed in concentration, gradually furrowed.
Pei Qinghuan’s heart sank; this girl was the Saintess she had invited from Medicine God Valley by using her father’s favor.
Judging by her expression, the situation seemed far from optimistic.
A quarter of an hour later, Xu Qingyao looked Huai'an up and down, her face full of shock!
“How strange!”
Huai'an’s heart skipped a beat, and he looked up at her and asked:
“What’s strange?”
Xu Qingyao’s small face was serious, and she said with uncertainty and surprise:
“Young Master Fu has Dragon sinews and Tiger bones; his physique is terrifyingly strong, and his internal Qi instantly winds for thousands of miles, already infinitely close to the Transcendent realm.”
“But looking at your bone age, you are only twenty years old!”
“This has never happened in the entire Cultivation world!”
Huai'an breathed a sigh of relief; it turned out she was just shocked by his extraordinary talent, the little girl simply hadn't seen much of the world.
Pei Qinghuan felt a surge of pride. Her beloved disciple was a heaven-defying genius destined to achieve the Dao of a Land Immortal; no amount of praise was too much!
But she had sought her out to examine the love poison, so the key issue needed to be resolved first.
“Saintess Xu, how have your investigations into my disciple’s poison progressed?”
“That bit of love poison, although fierce and domineering, is not difficult to deal with. It can be dispelled simply by cohabiting with a woman!”
Pei Qinghuan frowned, her hands clasped behind her back.
“Cohabiting won’t work. Although it can eliminate most of the poison, there’s always a final stubborn bit of poison that remains, and there’s no way to deal with it!”
Xu Qingyao was startled, then turned to look at Huai'an again.
She took two steps forward, extended her hand towards Huai'an’s Dantian, and closed her eyes to examine it carefully.
A moment later.
Xu Qingyao was puzzled and uncertain, saying:
“That root source doesn’t seem to be poison. Although it looks exactly like the love poison, after careful analysis with my Cultivation Technique, it resembles a trace of a remnant soul…”
Both Huai'an and Pei Qinghuan were suddenly shocked.
Poison was fine; it was, after all, inanimate. But a remnant soul was something to be wary of!
Pei Qinghuan quickly stepped forward to investigate carefully. With her strength, she could still only distinguish characteristics identical to the love poison.
It appeared as a black speck residing in Huai'an’s Dantian, continuously releasing threads of love poison.
Huai'an focused his internal vision; that black speck was not a physical object and could not be touched. When his Qi passed over it, it felt like an illusory mass.
He did not sense any consciousness from that black speck and still believed it was the source of the love poison, not a remnant soul.
Pei Qinghuan stood up helplessly; her strength was primarily in swordsmanship, and her understanding of souls was very shallow.
Xu Qingyao also encountered such a strange phenomenon for the first time in her life.
The reason she suspected that black speck was a remnant soul primarily stemmed from the feedback of Medicine God Valley’s Cultivation Technique, which caused a slight pull on Xu Qingyao’s own soul body.
Observing it with spiritual perception based on cultivation, or methods not involving souls, could only confirm that it was love poison.
“Saintess Xu, is there a way to resolve it?”
Xu Qingyao shook her head.
“Resolving the love poison isn’t difficult, but I currently have no way to deal with that remnant soul. We must first find the person who poisoned Young Master Fu and understand the source of the love poison in detail.”
Xu Qingyao pulled out a silver needle, lightly pricked Huai'an’s fingertip, extracted a few drops of blood, and placed them into a white jade porcelain bottle.
“Sword Master, the remnant soul cannot be resolved for now. I will first analyze the components of this love poison to see if I can find any clues.”
Pei Qinghuan nodded, then took Xu Qingyao and left the Cultivation room.
Huai'an sat quietly, frowning.
A remnant soul?
Huai'an had always wondered why the love poison clung to him so stubbornly.
Could it be that this remnant soul truly had consciousness, coveted his body, and thus decisively left Shen Jinyu’s body?
The more Huai'an thought about it, the worse his expression became. If this continued, would he be subjected to Possession?
Huai'an was gravely examining that black speck repeatedly when the charming and graceful Qin Fengwu slowly walked over.
Huai'an gently exhaled, stood up, and walked out of the Cultivation room with a faint smile.
After lunch, Huai'an went to his Master’s courtyard.
Beside the rockery pavilion, the bored Shen Jinyu was sprawled on the stone table, daydreaming.
Seeing this scene, Huai'an paused, then quietly walked forward.
When Shen Jinyu saw him, she instantly perked up, quickly sat upright, her cheeks flushed.
Why was he here at this time?
Huai'an sat opposite Shen Jinyu, smiling as he looked at her.
“Master’s Wife.”
Shen Jinyu’s face stiffened, and she glared at him, huffing:
“Call me Master’s Wife in front of outsiders, but privately, call me Aunt Shen!”
The two had suppressed the poison one after another, and the words “Master’s Wife” made Shen Jinyu feel mortified!
“Uh, how about privately, I call you Jin Yu?”
Shen Jinyu’s pretty face was flushed, her gaze darting away as she looked at Huai'an and shook her head slightly.
“That’s a bit too intimate…”
Shen Jinyu felt a little shy hearing it; she was a full ten years older than Huai'an…
Huai'an was only twenty; if he knew Shen Jinyu was ten years older than him, he would probably be even more excited!
“Aunt Shen, was your Family planning to marry you off to someone, and then you chose to run away?”
Huai'an wanted to get along well with his Master’s Wife and eliminate the distance between them, so he proactively started a conversation.
“Sigh, it was the Prince of Nanjin’s heir. Before, when he forced marriage, I didn’t want to, and the Family wouldn’t have forced me. But with the Prince of Nanjin, the Family couldn’t let me act recklessly anymore…”
“This was a marriage personally arranged by the Empress. My leaving like this probably angered the Empress…”
The Shen Family was a top-tier thousand-year-old noble Family. The saying “flowing emperors, iron-clad noble families” referred to this kind of Family.
The current Empress’s ascension to the throne owed much to the Shen Family.
Even if Shen Jinyu’s departure displeased the Empress, with the Shen Family’s deep roots, it was unlikely to provoke a furious backlash or how the Empress would deal with the Shen Family.
After all, Shen Jinyu could hardly be considered defying an imperial decree; she merely went out to travel and accidentally fell in love with the Taiyi Sword Master…
As for the Prince of Nanjin, the Taiyi Sword Pool truly wasn’t afraid of him.
Transcendent realm powerhouses were not to be offended lightly.
“Aunt Shen, do you regret coming to the Taiyi Sword Pool?”
Shen Jinyu’s charming face showed a thoughtful expression, then she looked at Huai'an again, her face flushing.
“Qinghuan is my best sister, so I don’t regret it.”
Huai'an mainly wanted to know if Shen Jinyu regretted coming to the Taiyi Sword Pool, which resulted in her losing her innocence.
Now it seemed he was indeed a character everyone coveted.
Shen Jinyu was no exception.
Huai'an had long wanted to experience the taste of a noble madam, but in Yangzhou, Aunt Qin kept a close watch, so he had no opportunity.
He never expected to now experience a top-tier noble madam from Jiangzhou…
