Chapter 80

An area-of-effect skill, and it was extremely powerful.

A spirit stat of 24,000 points was not just for show.

As a skill that could only be mastered at level 20, it was only natural for the Skeleton Mage to be slightly stronger than the Skeleton Warrior.

The two types of skeletons each had their own uses.

However, the Skeleton Mage also had its drawback: it consumed too much spirit.

Summoning a single Skeleton Warrior only required 500 spirit points.

But summoning a single Skeleton Mage cost a whopping 1,500 spirit points, three times that of a Skeleton Warrior.

If he hadn't been wearing the three-piece Spirit Set, relying solely on his base spirit of 1,300, he wouldn't even be able to summon a single level 20 Skeleton Mage.

But then again, who could raise a newly acquired skill to level 20 right when they hit level 20?

Such a thing practically did not exist.

Looking at the few remaining desert fruits.

Most of the consumption occurred during the latter half of leveling up the Skeleton Mage skill.

Especially after level 15, the consumption rate was extremely fast.

A single desert fruit was consumed almost every few summons.

"If only I could take them out of the Dungeon."

Unfortunately, desert fruits could not be preserved and could not be taken out of the Dungeon.

They had to be consumed within five minutes of picking, otherwise they would lose their effect.

Otherwise, Lin Moyu would have really wanted to come back a few more times to bring out a large quantity of desert fruits.

"I shouldn't waste the remaining ones either. It's the perfect opportunity to fill up the slots for the Skeleton Mages."

Currently, he had 125 Skeleton Warriors and 1 Skeleton Mage, leaving 74 empty slots in his Summoning Space.

Taking advantage of the remaining desert fruits, Lin Moyu planned to fill all these slots.

Eating a desert fruit, he then summoned 5 Skeleton Warriors.

Bringing the number of Skeleton Warriors to 130.

After that, he began to summon Skeleton Mages with all his might.

The attributes of the summoned Skeleton Mages were random and not under Lin Moyu's control.

For a moment, cold winds howled, and various elements began to vibrate.

Fire element… Wind element… Lightning element…

One Skeleton Mage after another was summoned, appearing by Lin Moyu's side.

Skeletons of every elemental affinity appeared.

No matter which element the Skeleton Mage belonged to, their attributes were the same; the only difference lay in their skills.

Fire Skeleton Mage: [Skill: Bursting Flames]

[Bursting Flames: Deals fire element damage to the target, attack power is determined by spirit.]

Ice Skeleton Mage: [Skill: Ice Storm]

[Ice Storm: Forms an Ice Storm within an area, dealing ice element damage to targets, attack power is determined by spirit.]

Wind Skeleton Mage: [Skill: Tornado Storm]

[Tornado Storm: Forms a Tornado Storm within an area, dealing wind element damage to targets, attack power is determined by spirit.]

Lightning Skeleton Mage: [Skill: Five Thunder Strike]

[Five Thunder Strike: Deals lightning damage to the target, attack power is determined by spirit.]

Among them, the skills of the Fire and Lightning Skeleton Mages were single-target attacks.

The skills of the Ice and Wind Skeleton Mages were area-of-effect attacks.

Their silver-white bodies were slightly shorter than those of the Skeleton Warriors, but the soul fire in their skulls burned even more vigorously.

Elements surged within their palms, demonstrating their formidable power.

Lin Moyu felt that his Skeleton Mages were more than capable of instantly killing Mage Professionals of the same level.

By the time the desert fruits were completely exhausted, he had finally filled up his long-vacant Summoning Space.

130 Skeleton Warriors, 70 Skeleton Mages.

A grand total of 200 skeletons formed a skeleton army.

Lin Moyu felt that he could completely steamroll any Dungeon of the same level.

Nightmare difficulty would be nothing to him.

Even Hell difficulty would not be a problem at all.

Just like the Tyrant Desert he was currently in—a large-scale Dungeon that required 40 people to conquer—he could steamroll it all by himself.

The skeleton army was far stronger than a 40-man team of Professionals.

"The next time I come back, it'll be time to level up my other skills."

There was more than one skill to level up; Bone Armor and Slow Curse both needed training.

As long as he had enough spirit, these two skills wouldn't be difficult.

The hardest one was still Corpse Explosion, as there simply weren't that many corpses.

Once the monsters in the Dungeon were killed, their corpses would disappear after a short while.

Furthermore, he couldn't overuse it; he still needed to reserve some spirit for emergencies.

Leveling up his skills had taken nearly four hours in total.

Lin Moyu had already been inside the Dungeon for over eight hours.

By now, the terrain of the Ant Cave had been preliminarily mapped out.

The Skeleton Warriors had advanced 2,000 meters, gaining a clear understanding of the situation within that range.

Lin Moyu discovered that no matter which entrance one used, they all interconnected on the inside.

This was very similar to the Spider Nest.

The Ant Cave was much larger than the Spider Nest; a depth of 2,000 meters was only a small fraction of it.

As Lin Moyu entered the cave and closed the distance, the Skeleton Warriors began to move again.

They darted swiftly through the cave, scouting the terrain for Lin Moyu.

The Ant Cave was full of twists and turns, winding and complex.

Like an incredibly vast labyrinth, its boundaries remained elusive.

Lin Moyu could only choose one direction to advance.

[Killed Level 26 Desert Soldier Ant, EXP +36,000]

[Obtained Ant Fang * 5]

Suddenly, he received an unusual notification.

Soldier Ants had appeared somewhere in the cave.

According to the division of labor in an ant colony, worker ants were laborers, while Soldier Ants were warriors.

Soldier Ants were responsible for guarding the queen and would not stray far from her.

Finding the Soldier Ants meant the queen ant could not be too far away.

Lin Moyu immediately rushed toward the direction of the Soldier Ants.

The other skeletons also turned in that direction.

As the Ant Cave was gradually mapped out, more and more Soldier Ants appeared.

Lin Moyu stepped into an extremely spacious cavern.

Inside, a large number of Soldier Ants were slumbering, only to be awakened by Lin Moyu's entry.

Over a hundred Soldier Ants woke up simultaneously, shaking their bodies and letting out hissing screeches as they rushed toward Lin Moyu.

"Soldier Ant Barracks."

The term came to Lin Moyu's mind.

When ants built nests, Soldier Ants gathered in groups and would have their own dedicated barracks.

Needless to say, this was one of them.

And there was bound to be more than one barracks nest.

The Skeleton Warriors were the first to meet them, and the Skeleton Mages followed suit.

This was the first battle for the Skeleton Mages.

Skill: Bursting Flames!

Skill: Ice Storm!

Skill: Tornado Storm!

Skill: Five Thunder Strike!

Seventy Skeleton Mages attacked simultaneously.

For a moment, elements went wild and spells flew everywhere.

Constant rumbles echoed in the cave as it lit up with a riot of colors.

Lin Moyu was dazzled by the sight.

By the time the Skeleton Warriors reached the Soldier Ants, a vast majority of the ants were already dead or injured.

The 24,000 spirit points gave the Skeleton Mages extremely powerful killing capability.

Far exceeding Professionals of the same level.

Even level 30 Professionals could not unleash as much damage as the Skeleton Mages.

In just a dozen or so seconds, the hundred-plus Soldier Ants in front of him were completely slaughtered.

Although it wasn't as fast as Corpse Explosion, it was effortless.

Lin Moyu didn't even have to move; he could just stand there and enjoy the fireworks show.

Indeed, it was quite beautiful, something Corpse Explosion couldn't compare to.

With the appearance of the Soldier Ant Barracks, Lin Moyu felt he had likely found the right direction.

The team continued to push forward, discovering several more Soldier Ant Barracks in succession.

Each barracks was larger than the last.

His experience points were soaring at an astonishing rate.

By now, it had already reached 32%.

The team swept forward without any resistance, finally entering the deep depths of the Ant Cave.

A buzzing sound echoed in his ears.

As the Skeleton Warriors turned a corner, they suddenly encountered a swarm of Flying Ants.

[Desert Flying Ant (Super-Enhanced Elite Monster)]

[Level: 27]

[Strength: 6,000]

[Agility: 3,000]

[Spirit: 3,000]

[Constitution: 7,000]

The Skeleton Warriors reacted extremely quickly, immediately engaging the Flying Ants in battle.
