Chapter 803: Chun VS Duan (Part 4)
Mr. Duan put away his smile.
"Oh?"
He lowered his head and looked at his own hands.
Particles of light eroded his slender hands.
His skin tightened, and his bones shortened.
The changes spread across his entire body.
The wrinkles on his face smoothed out.
In a few seconds, he went from a middle-aged man to a young man.
Mr. Duan looked at his young hands, his smile deepening.
The regression did not stop!
From a young man to a teenager.
His figure shrunk, his black formal suit becoming oversized and hanging loosely on him.
His height dropped to 1.6 meters, and his face became childish.
"So that is how it is."
Mr. Duan, who had turned into a teenager, had a crisp voice, and his gaze remained calm.
Teenage Mr. Duan laughed and even clapped his hands.
However, the reversal of Origin was still advancing.
Teenager, child, toddler.
Until finally—
With a thud.
The oversized black formal suit collapsed onto the ground.
Lying in the pile of clothes was a baby with tender pink skin.
He opened his eyes wide to look at the sky, his small hands grasping that thick silver cane.
Deafening footsteps rang out across the green primitive meadow.
An ancient giant beast as huge as a mountain slowly walked past Mr. Duan.
The giant beast was covered in thick, colorful scales, and with every step it took, the earth of the First World trembled violently, whipping up a strong gale.
And beneath the feet of this giant beast, Mr. Duan, having shed his oversized black formal suit and completely regressed into the appearance of an infant, was as tiny as an ant that could be crushed at any moment.
The violent wind blew against his tender pink cheeks, but in his clear eyes, which should have belonged to an infant, not a shred of panic could be seen.
He simply tilted his head up quietly, looking at the giant beast's belly that blotted out the sky, his small hands still tightly grasping the silver cane that, to his current size, was like a pillar supporting the heavens.
"Rustle…"
In the sea of flowers ahead, a burst of green light of the Law flashed.
Chun's exquisitely beautiful figure slowly materialized out of the Void Realm.
She looked down condescendingly at Mr. Duan, who had turned into an infant below, her emerald-green eyes flashing with uncontainable wild joy and deep resentment.
"Why aren't you laughing anymore, Duan?"
A smug smile curled the corners of Chun's mouth as she slowly drifted down, levitating in mid-air less than three meters away from Mr. Duan, her voice carrying the exhilaration of vindication.
"Weren't you acting all high and mighty just now, saying that my methods were just disgraceful little tricks?"
Pointing at the infant on the ground wearing vastly oversized clothes, she couldn't help laughing out loud: "Look at you now! You can't even stand steadily, nor can you lift this cane."
"Now, in this First World, haven't our roles completely reversed?"
Facing Chun's hysterical mocking, even though Mr. Duan was in the shape of a child, and even the vocal cords in his throat had regressed to their initial state, his expression remained exceptionally calm.
He did not cry or make a fuss, nor did he show any terror belonging to an infant.
On that tender, childish little face, there unexpectedly emerged a composure belonging to a weathered old man, which was completely out of tune with his age.
"So that is how it is."
Mr. Duan's childish and crisp voice rang out in the sea of flowers, carrying a rationality that saw through everything.
He laboriously propped himself up against the ground with his tender pink little hands and slowly stood up.
The oversized black formal suit dragged on the ground like a huge blanket, but he didn't care in the least, even using his small hand to pat the grass clippings off his body.
"I understand now."
Mr. Duan raised his head, his profound eyes staring straight at Chun in mid-air, the corners of his mouth slightly upturned, revealing a somewhat comical yet chilling smile.
"It seems you have borrowed power that does not belong to you."
"What do you mean?"
The smile on Chun's face stiffened slightly, and she snorted coldly, "Death is at the door, and you're still putting on a bluff?"
"Under the reversal of this Origin Law, your high-dimensional power has long been stripped away!"
"You are nothing more than a useless piece of trash without any ability to resist now!"
"I originally thought that was the highest-level power of time within the bottom-layer logic of the Heavenly Dao System."
Mr. Duan ignored Chun's warning and continued speaking in his childish voice to himself: "After all, being able to forcibly reverse my life form and retroactively trace a Transcendent's Physical Body back to infancy, apart from the Law of Time, I cannot think of any other power capable of achieving this step."
He extended a short little finger, pointing at the azure and clear sky above his head, as well as the ancient exotic beasts soaring in the distance.
"However, I just carefully felt it."
Mr. Duan shook his head, a sigh of disappointment appearing on his childish face: "How overbearing is the Law of Time? That is a taboo that even the will of heaven dares not easily invoke."
"You, a mere Goddess of Nature of the First World, even if you burned the origin sacred tree's Origin, it would still be impossible to reconstruct such a massive true timeline."
"What on earth are you trying to say?!"
Chun was creeped out by his all-knowing gaze; her initial smugness began to recede, replaced by an inexplicable panic.
Although Mr. Duan looked vulnerable right now, this fearless reaction was definitely not something a prey ready to be slaughtered should have.
"What I want to say is—"
Although Mr. Duan had the body of an infant, his expression was shockingly calm, and his voice even carried a trace of condescending mockery.
"This is nothing more than a world within a dream."
"What did you say?"
Chun's pupils abruptly constricted, and her body violently shook in mid-air.
"Through the deep Fusion of massive mental Law with wood-type psychedelic toxins, and then utilizing the energy of the water of origin, you forcefully constructed a 'First World' within my Sea of Consciousness that could almost pass off as real."
Mr. Duan grabbed the bottom end of the cane with his small hand and gently tapped it against the grass.
"In this dream, not only did you reshape the scenes of the First World, but you even simulated the bottom-layer data feedback of the System seamlessly, giving me the illusion that my Physical Body and Law had been retroactively reversed."
Mr. Duan parted his small mouth and smiled very brightly: "Splendid, truly a splendid skill construction."
"I have to admit that in the Domain of illusions and mental control, you have indeed reached an extremely high level."
"I almost got tricked by you."
"Shut up! Shut up!!"
"That's impossible!"
Like a feral cat whose tail had been stepped on, Chun's voice became sharp and piercing due to extreme panic: "Stop playing the ghost here!"
"In this Origin illusion realm, I am the only Creator!"
"If I want you to die, you have to die!"
Her hands abruptly formed hand seals, and a blinding mass of green life energy erupted from her fingertips.
"[Withering of All Things]!"
