Chapter 86: Abnormal Time Flow
He miscalculated.
Godzilla originally thought he could easily overpower Singular Point Godzilla, who hadn't fully grown yet.
Even if Singular Point Godzilla grew to the same height as Godzilla, Godzilla felt no pressure.
He was confident he could beat it soundly.
But Godzilla had overlooked one crucial element: the Red Dust.
Godzilla subconsciously assumed that Singular Point Godzilla's ability to manipulate the Red Dust was limited to its Atomic Breath.
However, the facts proved that as a monster capable of generating Red Dust, Singular Point Godzilla could wield the Red Dust in incredibly varied ways!
Just like now, Godzilla found himself in a dilemma.
Originally, relying on his powerful body and the Atomic Breath simultaneously released from his mouth and tail, he had forcibly carved a path through this Sea of Thorns.
But the constantly reforming Sea of Thorns repeatedly left severe wounds on Godzilla's body.
If not for Godzilla's astonishing regenerative abilities, he might have already lost his ability to move.
Even so, this didn't mean Godzilla's current state was good.
After the Sea of Thorns reformed multiple times, piercing Godzilla repeatedly, the very thing he feared most happened.
The Red Dust remained inside Godzilla's body!
For Godzilla's massive size, the Red Dust, as tiny as grains of sand, was difficult to remove from his body once it had entered.
But with it, came a problem.
Godzilla distinctly felt his movements slowing down.
This wasn't due to Godzilla lacking stamina; with the Atomic Reactor providing a continuous supply of energy, Godzilla never had an issue with stamina.
And after adjusting the output threshold of his Atomic Breath, Godzilla's Atomic Reactor's energy level never again dropped below 30%.
Initially, Godzilla hadn't noticed his speed decreasing; instead, he felt the surrounding Sea of Thorns spread twice as fast.
This also caused Godzilla to be careless and get injured again, and every subsequent injury put Godzilla in a precarious situation.
Several times, Godzilla's Atomic Reactor, deeply embedded within his body, was almost hit.
This made Godzilla realize that Singular Point Godzilla had probably discovered the Atomic Reactor inside him.
This was not good news for Godzilla; exposing one's energy core when the enemy possesses the ability to breach one's defenses is the most fatal situation.
At the same time, the Atomic Reactor's abnormal energy consumption made Godzilla curious.
The energy supplied by the Atomic Reactor to his entire body wasn't actually that much, as there was almost no consumption when not using the Atomic Breath or engaging in intense combat.
But now, the energy consumed by the Atomic Reactor was almost comparable to the energy required to raise the Atomic Breath's temperature to 100,000 degrees.
However, at 100,000 degrees, it probably shouldn't be called Atomic Breath, but rather White Heat Ray.
With Godzilla not using his Atomic Breath, where was all that energy going?
Could it be that Singular Point Godzilla was siphoning it from a distance?
But that was impossible.
Because Godzilla could feel that all this energy was being absorbed by the various cells within his body.
Furthermore, as time passed, Godzilla noticed that the spatiotemporal energy within him was becoming active again.
This made Godzilla's eyes widen involuntarily.
Because, without external stimulation, the spatiotemporal energy within Godzilla's body wouldn't normally be so active.
Wait, stimulation!?
Godzilla looked at Singular Point Godzilla in the distance, who was moving away from him at "double" speed, and a guess formed in his mind.
Could it be that it wasn't Singular Point Godzilla and the Sea of Thorns that had sped up, but rather that his own time had slowed down?
Godzilla thought of the Red Dust that had invaded his body; his physical abnormalities must be inextricably linked to that Red Dust!
Even just a small amount of Red Dust invading his body had repeatedly put Godzilla in desperate situations; if more Red Dust invaded his body, Godzilla didn't even dare to imagine the consequences!
However, once Godzilla realized that his time was out of sync, it became easier to deal with.
Once detected, there was a solution.
This made Godzilla immensely grateful, fortunate that before confronting Singular Point Godzilla, he had devoured several Rodans, gaining a slight ability to manipulate the Red Dust.
Although this made it difficult for Godzilla to control this Sea of Red Dust, it was still possible for him to prevent himself from being affected by the Red Dust.
But when Godzilla controlled the Red Dust within his body to eliminate the abnormal time flow on himself, he immediately felt a certain restraint disappear.
And the external manifestation was that his originally slowed speed suddenly doubled!
This startled Singular Point Godzilla.
Singular Point Godzilla was genuinely surprised that Godzilla could break free from the shackles of time, which made it truly take Godzilla seriously.
Godzilla, on the other hand, broke out in a cold sweat of lingering fear.
If he hadn't possessed some spatiotemporal power, slightly immune to some temporal restraints, and hadn't keenly noticed something was wrong, coupled with his ability to manipulate the Red Dust, he might have truly met his end here.
This made Godzilla determined to speed up; otherwise, if he dragged this out any longer, who knew what other Red Dust manipulation abilities Singular Point Godzilla possessed.
After discovering that even with Red Dust invading his body, his abilities could ensure he remained unaffected by the Red Dust, Godzilla charged into this Sea of Thorns like an unbridled wild horse!
Godzilla, covered in purple lightning, channeled energy into his tail, releasing Atomic Breath to clear a path ahead.
And Godzilla, with his head down, crashed forward!
Although missing one Atomic Breath meant large sections of "thorns" in the Sea of Thorns ahead were not destroyed.
These "thorns" pierced Godzilla's neck, chest, and even his limbs, but Godzilla still ignored them, charging towards Singular Point Godzilla.
For Godzilla, it was enough to protect his brain and Atomic Reactor.
If he wasn't worried about severe injuries to his limbs affecting his speed, Godzilla's speed could have been even faster!
Godzilla, whose body was easily pierced by the sharp "thorns," felt dissatisfaction with his body's defensive capabilities for the first time.
Although this was partly due to the miraculous nature of the Red Dust, if Godzilla's defensive capabilities were stronger, this Red Dust would not have so easily pierced Godzilla's body.
But when it came to improving his defensive capabilities, Godzilla had no good solutions; the scales on Godzilla's body were already the best configuration he had.
