Chapter 91 Everyone, Take a Rest

“Our esteemed CEO Chen.”

As the host’s voice faded, and knowing who led the charge, the employees cheered and applauded.

“Boss is mighty, Boss is generous, Boss is awesome, Boss, we love you.”

Chen Mo had initially maintained a smile, after all, these employees were praising him.

But when the last sentence rang out, his expression instantly froze, and he felt a chill in his heart as he looked at the group of big men shouting enthusiastically below.

Damn it.

Could a sports meeting have turned these male employees gay?

Thinking of this, he quickly raised his hand to stop the shouting of the employees below; he was really afraid that these guys, in their excitement, would shout something about wanting to bear his children.

Of course, if they were all The Handmaidens below, it would be a different story.

The shouts gradually faded, and Chen Mo casually took two more expensive prize tickets; this money could go into his Xiao Jin Ku.

Next, there were a few more people to receive awards, including Wang Maonian and Wei Yan; these guys had only signed up for the race walking event.

So their points were still behind his.

And Wang Maonian, that guy, snatched the rank he had anticipated, getting last place in race walking, with a total of only one point.

That guy, who runs and exercises every morning, only got one point; it’s truly outrageous.

It seems he’ll have to be properly trained when they get back.

With Wang Maonian, the last one, having received his reward, this sports meeting was considered a complete success.

Wang Maonian looked at the two prize tickets in his hand, full of emotion; this was the first time in his life he had won an award in a sports event.

Working for CEO Chen was indeed different.

“CEO Chen, it’s not even four yet. How should we arrange things? Should everyone return to the company for now?”

Shen Rou walked up to Chen Mo and asked softly.

At this time, the employees were already preparing to leave, but it wasn't yet the actual off-duty time.

“Whatever. We’re off work now. If they want to go back to the company, they can take the big bus back. If not, they’re free to do as they please.”

Chen Mo replied without thinking. Why go back to the company? To work? Dream on.

Everyone, take a break.

“Understood, CEO Chen.”

Shen Rou turned and left, and soon, cheers erupted once again among the employee ranks.

“CEO Chen.”

Chen Mo was about to leave but was called out by another voice. He turned to see that it was Jiang Cheng.

“Is something wrong?”

“It’s like this, CEO Chen. Two flatbed machines in the workshop have been frequently malfunctioning recently. I checked, and a few important parts are aging. I’d like to request a replacement of the parts.”

Jiang Cheng said cautiously. In fact, many machines in the workshop had already developed problems, but he had repaired some of them. Only those two machines couldn't be repaired because the parts were too severely aged.

The only solution was to replace the parts, so he took this opportunity to mention it to CEO Chen.

“Oh, for this matter, just get approval from finance.”

It’s just a few machine parts; it won’t cost much. It can be approved directly through finance.

Chen Mo thought to himself, but he quickly remembered something: he still had over three million in system funds that he hadn’t spent.

Machines in the workshop having problems, isn't this a good opportunity to spend the system funds?

Repairs wouldn't cost much, but he could replace them! Replace them with new ones, expensive ones.

“Wait a moment.”

Seeing Jiang Cheng about to turn and leave, he quickly called him back.

“Those machines won’t be repaired.”

“Ah!”

Jiang Cheng was a little anxious when he heard this. If they weren't repaired, the workshop would be short two machines, and the Business Department had already started receiving more orders these days.

If their production volume here couldn't fulfill the Business Department's orders,

According to CEO Chen’s rules, in such a situation, the Business Department would need to temporarily stop taking orders. Although CEO Chen had said that the company would compensate the salespeople and it wouldn't affect their income,

This would also affect the company’s income, which was not the situation he wanted to see.

Just as Jiang Cheng was about to explain the situation, he heard CEO Chen speak again.

“I see that all the machines in our workshop are already aging, so why don’t we just replace them all with a new batch of machines? Frequent repairs aren’t the way to go. Go and tally up how much it would cost if the entire workshop were replaced with new machines.”

“O-okay, CEO Chen.”

Jiang Cheng quickly nodded upon hearing this. Only then did he understand why CEO Chen wasn't repairing the machines; it turned out he planned to replace them with new ones.

If the workshop were entirely replaced with new machines, efficiency would certainly increase by at least 30%, which would not affect the salespeople taking orders.

CEO Chen probably thought of all this long ago. Tomorrow is conveniently Saturday and Sunday, so he can go to the machinery trading market to look at machines. He knows a bit about machines; some new machines look like they have many functions, but if you actually buy them, they are not practical at all.

So, only by going there in person and experiencing them can he know which machines are most suitable.

Watching Jiang Cheng leave, Chen Mo slightly exhaled in relief.

He finally found another way to spend money. This Saturday and Sunday, he could finally rest at ease.

………

On the company's bus back,

Jiang Cheng was sitting in his seat, thinking about the machines, when Wu Yu suddenly sat next to him.

“Brother Jiang, I want to know how many more orders the workshop can handle.”

“We need to verify this, otherwise, if we in Business take too many orders and the workshop can’t complete them on time, it will be troublesome.”

Hearing Wu Yu's words, Jiang Cheng came back to his senses, a smile appearing on his face.

“Originally, the orders you were taking had already brought the workshop close to saturation.”

“However, CEO Chen just said he’s preparing to replace all the machines in the workshop with new ones. If they are new machines, the workshop’s efficiency will increase by at least 30%, so you can rest assured and go take orders.”

“Is that so? Then I’m relieved.”

“CEO Chen is still CEO Chen! He probably saw our Business Department’s recent increase in orders and worried that the workshop wouldn’t be able to keep up, so he had the idea of replacing the equipment long ago.”

Wu Yu couldn't help but exclaim. If that were the case, they could continue to run their business on Saturday and Sunday.

No need to worry about workshop output.

“I think so too. I just went to CEO Chen to bring up the machine repair issue, and CEO Chen immediately proposed the plan to replace all machines. Clearly, he had this in mind for a long time.”

Jiang Cheng echoed.

………….

Night fell,

In a certain university student dormitory.

A young man burst in excitedly.

“Brothers, we’re off tomorrow, let’s find a place to have some fun.”

The dormitory was quiet, with only the clatter of keyboards and mice.

Duan Mingyuan looked at his roommates and found them all playing games in front of their computers.

Curiously, he walked behind one of them and glanced.

“Holy crap, isn’t this Tianlong? Why are you guys playing this game?”
