Chapter 972 The Number One Prodigy of Chaos [Third Update, Requesting Monthly Tickets]
Chapter 972: The Chaotic Realm's Foremost Prodigy [Third Update, Seeking Monthly Votes]
"Really? Come back and tell me that after you've seen the outside world."
Han Jue shook his head and chuckled, not taking it seriously.
He waved his sleeve, bringing Han Ling to the main dojo. He told Han Ling to explore the Hundred Mountains Immortal River first.
However, in less than an hour, Han Ling returned, saying there was nothing interesting about the Hundred Mountains Immortal River.
Han Jue then took her to the third dojo to meet his direct disciples.
Li Yao and Wu Daojian were pleasantly surprised to see Han Ling, pulling her close and examining her.
Han Jue notified the other Demon Gods, and within three breaths, they arrived in front of the Daoist temple.
Han Jue led his daughter out of the temple and introduced her to his disciples.
"This must be Master's fourth daughter, right?"
"Greetings, Junior Sister Ling'er!"
"What should I call her? Junior Martial Aunt, or Junior Maternal Aunt?"
"Hahaha, she's so beautiful, truly worthy of being Master's offspring."
"How old is she? How is she already a Saint?"
"Think about Han Huang; you shouldn't be surprised."
Facing the eager gazes of dozens of fellow disciples, Han Ling wasn't nervous at all. She was poised and greeted them proactively.
By now, the Demon Gods had found their own paths, and Han Jue no longer needed to preach to them. He had come this time simply to inform them, knowing that it wouldn't be long before the news reached the direct disciples who were adventuring in the Chaos.
That day, Han Jue and his daughter departed, and the disciples dispersed, returning to their cultivation.
Inside the Daoist temple, Wu Daojian pulled Li Yao and said, "Sister Li Yao, you must seize the opportunity. Master rarely comes here. If you could have a son and a daughter, he would stay longer."
Li Yao rolled her eyes and retorted, "Who taught you all this?"
Wu Daojian chuckled, "It was the Black Hell Chicken! It's my advisor now. Ling'er was here just now, so I couldn't act. Next time Master comes alone, I'll definitely make the most of it."
Li Yao fell into contemplation.
Indeed, Han Jue came too infrequently!
Although their relationship wouldn't change, feelings needed nurturing… Han Jue took Han Ling away from the dojo and began to travel through the Chaos.
They left their clones in the third dojo, making it convenient for resurrection.
Though it seemed peaceful now, Han Jue thought it best to have a backup plan. If a Creator Lord suddenly went mad and decided to attack him, wouldn't that be a disaster?
The higher one's cultivation, the more cautious one must be!
Unless he was already invincible.
The father and daughter stood on a purple cloud, and Han Jue introduced the Chaos to her.
Han Ling listened quietly and very attentively.
After Han Jue briefly explained the layout of the Chaos, he began to talk about his own experiences. Han Ling became interested, her eyes sparkling.
The purple cloud moved very fast.
By the time Han Jue finished recounting his story up to his enlightenment, they arrived in the domain of the Great Dao Tower.
Han Jue sent a message to Zhou Fan, asking him to receive them.
Since Zhou Fan was already capable of handling things on his own, Han Jue didn't want to intrude directly and disrespect him.
Soon, Zhou Fan was ready and invited them to the top of the tower.
Besides Zhou Fan, there were two other people in the main hall: one was Mo Fuchou, and the other was a black-clad man who bore a seven- or eight-tenths resemblance to Zhou Fan.
"Master!"
Upon seeing Han Jue, Zhou Fan immediately knelt down.
The black-clad man followed suit and knelt, while Mo Fuchou was quite flustered, unsure what to do.
Han Jue smiled, "Alright, get up. Brother Mo, long time no see, how have you been lately?"
Mo Fuchou, relieved, smiled and said, "Very well, very well. Zhou Fan treats me like a brother, but I can't accept you calling me Brother Mo."
Han Jue smiled, "We each address each other as we see fit."
Zhou Fan quickly asked, "And this is…?"
"My daughter, Han Ling, born a hundred thousand years ago. I'm taking her out for a tour today," Han Jue said with a smile, introducing her.
Han Ling bowed and said, "Greetings, Senior Brother Zhou."
Zhou Fan beamed and said, "Junior Sister Ling'er is incredible! To become a Saint at a hundred thousand years old, she's far more impressive than my son."
The black-clad man looked at Han Ling in surprise, feeling awkward.
After some pleasantries, everyone sat down.
Zhou Fan began to boast about his Great Dao Tower. The black-clad man, seeing his father so excited for the first time, became even more curious about Han Jue.
"The Divine Might Heavenly Sage… He doesn't seem overbearing…"
The black-clad man thought to himself, his gaze involuntarily falling upon Han Ling.
Han Ling glanced at him, and he quickly averted his eyes in fright.
Han Jue also noticed this scene but didn't show it or pay it much mind.
These two were impossible; there was a large difference in seniority and cultivation.
He believed Zhou Fan also knew this and wouldn't let his son act recklessly.
The current Great Dao Tower was considered a major power in one region of the Chaos, with over a hundred affiliated heavens and two Great Dao Saints overseeing it: Zhou Fan and a Chaotic mighty figure Zhou Fan had recruited.
Han Jue listened quietly, offering no opinions.
When Zhou Fan finished, Han Jue smiled, "Not bad. No matter how you choose to develop, always remember where you came from."
Zhou Fan chuckled, "I will always be a Hidden Sect disciple, your disciple. Without the Hidden Sect's connections and your prestige, I wouldn't have been so successful."
Han Jue shook his head and chuckled. Then, he gave Mo Fuchou and the black-clad man each a magic treasure as a见面礼 (meeting gift).
That day, Han Jue and his daughter departed.
Zhou Fan and the other two stood by the tower, watching them leave.
The black-clad man sighed.
Zhou Fan glanced at him and said coldly, "Don't get any ideas. I really wanted to dig out those dog eyes of yours earlier. That's your elder; how can you stare so disrespectfully? And don't harbor any improper thoughts; you're not worthy."
The black-clad man's face flushed red. He said, "Why am I not worthy? I can cultivate diligently!"
Mo Fuchou was amused, watching with an expression of enjoying the show.
"Cultivate diligently? How can you cultivate? Junior Sister Ling'er follows the Divine Might Heavenly Sage; how can your cultivation speed compare to hers? If you can become the foremost prodigy of the Chaos, then you might have a slight qualification," Zhou Fan snorted, then pulled Mo Fuchou away.
The black-clad man's face cycled between red and green. He hadn't actually intended anything serious; it was merely love at first sight.
"The foremost prodigy of the Chaos… You say I can't do it, but I'm going to try!"
The black-clad man clenched his fists, thinking indignantly.
He wanted to prove his father wrong!
…In the midst of the Chaos, Han Jue and Han Ling continued their journey on the purple cloud.
Han Ling asked, "Father, where else are we going? The Chaos isn't actually that interesting. I still prefer cultivating by your side and enjoying the feeling of becoming stronger."
Han Jue smiled, "We're going to meet your older brothers and sisters."
Han Ling nervously asked, "Will they like me?"
Before, she had been poised in front of strangers, but now, knowing she was about to meet relatives she had never seen, she became nervous.
"Of course, they will. Everyone loves my Ling'er. Look at your Senior Brother Zhou's son, wasn't he so smitten he couldn't move?" Han Jue chuckled.
"Father, don't tease Ling'er."
Han Ling's pretty face turned crimson, extremely shy.
Han Jue smiled, "In the future, when you choose a beloved, you must choose carefully. You can't disgrace your father; at the very least, he must be worthy of you."
Han Ling said indifferently, "Why do I need a beloved? I have only one goal: to become a mighty figure like Father."
"Father, hurry up. Once we've met my brothers and sisters, we can go back to cultivating."
