Chen family

Qin Ming understood; this kind of thing was actually quite normal.

Martial Arts Talent is unpredictable; some Martial Artists have superb Martial Arts Talent, yet they get stuck at a certain Realm and cannot achieve a Breakthrough.

It's normal to be overtaken by latecomers; there are even Martial Artists with extraordinary Martial Arts Talent who can't achieve a Breakthrough their entire lives, wasting their talent until the day they die.

This was why Qin Ming's perfect elixir was so popular—it provided some assistance for Martial Arts Breakthroughs. Although it didn't help much for Breakthroughs at the Martial King level, even a tiny bit of help was something Martial Artists desperately craved.

“What happened next?” Qin Ming asked curiously. Logically, after reclaiming the Family, the previous head should have been out of the picture. How did it end up splitting into two families?

“According to my investigation, because the current Shen Family Head, Shen Dian, is very good at winning people over, the Elders all supported Shen Dian to continue as the head,” Jue Wuya smiled. “Ten years can change a lot, enough for Shen Dian to solidify his position as the head.”

Sometimes, force isn't the solution to everything.

Interests are often more important than force. It was both unexpected and yet reasonable that the eldest son couldn't take back his position as the head.

Jue Wuya continued, “In a fit of rage, the eldest son of the Shen Family, Shen Luo, changed his name to Chen Luo and started a Family right in Stone City. He wanted to prove that he also had the ability to manage a Family and was no worse than Shen Dian.”

“Tsk tsk,” Qin Ming remarked. “Those two families must be fighting tooth and nail.”

“No,” Jue Wuya shook his head. “Not only did Shen Dian not attack the Chen Family, but he also tried to befriend them in every way. However, the Chen Family Head, Chen Luo, seems unable to let go of his grudge and completely ignores Shen Dian's overtures.”

Qin Ming speculated maliciously, “Shen Dian might have other motives; he might not necessarily be sincerely befriending the Chen Family.”

“That's very likely,” Jue Wuya nodded. “As of now, the two families don't have much contact, and their relationship is poor.”

“No matter what, they were once one Family. They probably saw that this arrangement was good for both families. Most importantly, they realized that splitting into two families was beneficial for controlling Stone City, so they deliberately maintained this situation!” Qin Ming guessed with his head down. “After all, no matter how great the hatred between the two, they would choose to set it aside for the Family's interests. They were originally one Family; even as two different families, they would set aside past grievances for the sake of profit. This is quite normal.”

Jue Wuya strongly agreed with Qin Ming's view: “I really don't know how your brain works. It took me a long time of studying to figure out these complex interests. I didn't expect you to understand it all just by listening.”

Sometimes, Jue Wuya truly believed Qin Ming was an elder; otherwise, how could he see through such a profound issue with just one sentence?

Although the two families had conflicts at the start and surely still have significant friction now, they definitely wouldn't let the conflict escalate for the sake of their respective families.

Just like the three great families of Chenyang City in the past, they were wary of each other yet also cooperated.

If it hadn't been for Qin Ming's schemes, the Zhang Family and the Qu Family wouldn't have started fighting so easily.

The most likely scenario was that the two families would compromise with each other and jointly share the interests of Chenyang City.

“When you've seen enough, you naturally understand,” Qin Ming said dismissively. He had seen this kind of thing so many times he didn't even want to look at it anymore.

Jue Wuya really wanted to ask: You're only in your twenties, how have you seen so much?
