Collector Tivan
"Blood God, I’ve heard so much about you. At last, I get to meet you."
Inside the collection hall, Collector Tivan, a white-haired man wearing strange glasses, warmly greeted Wang Bert.
"I’ve heard plenty about you too."
Wang Bert smiled and glanced at the glass jar to his left—inside was a space dog from the Former Soviet Union.
The space dog grew extremely agitated upon seeing Wang Bert, its eyes filled with hope.
Noticing Wang Bert’s gaze, Tivan smiled. "This is one of my prized collectibles—a dog from Earth that possesses Mind Power."
"Is it for sale?" Wang Bert asked.
"My collectibles are not for sale. Every one of them is one of a kind."
Tivan smiled. "Though I would like to buy the good things on you, such as the Space Stone. I can offer you an unbelievable price."
"A fortune teller once said I was born to be rich. I’ll never lack money in this life."
Wang Bert asked with a smile, "So it’s really not for sale?"
Tivan answered with absolute certainty, "A Collector does not sell his own collection."
"Then forget it. Mr. Tivan, why did you invite me to Knowhere?"
Wang Bert smiled. Seeing that Wang Bert had given up, the space dog dejectedly lay down on the floor. This guy had to be from that evil America.
"I wanted to meet you, and also give you a piece of advice."
Tivan said, "The Infinity Stones must not be gathered together."
Wang Bert asked with a faint smile, "Advice, or warning?"
"Both advice and warning. Gathering the Infinity Stones will bring terrifying disaster."
Tivan said, "Three Infinity Stones are already the limit of what we Elders of the Universe can tolerate. If there are any more, we will intervene."
Wang Bert did not reply. As he surveyed the surrounding collection, he asked, "What kind of disaster will gathering the Infinity Stones bring?"
"A disaster on the scale of universal destruction."
Tivan said, "We Elders of the Universe do not wish to involve ourselves in Earth’s affairs, but we cannot ignore the safety of the universe."
"Is that so? I’ll remember it."
Wang Bert said, "By the way, I heard you Elders of the Universe are immortal. Is that true?"
"It is. Immortality is actually quite boring, so we Elders of the Universe all find special interests."
Tivan said, "Such as collecting or gambling."
"I found one too: beautiful women."
Wang Bert smiled, then pointed at the duck in the glass jar and asked, "What’s that?"
"Howard the Duck, a visitor from another universe. The only one of his kind in this universe."
Tivan smiled. "Blood God, if you find any more Infinity Stones, you can sell them to me. I’ll definitely give you a good price."
"We’ll see."
Wang Bert smiled. "Mr. Tivan, thank you for your warm hospitality. I’ll be leaving now."
Tivan said, "Take care."
After leaving the collection hall, Wang Bert’s expression turned cold. Tivan had seemed warm on the surface, but every word had carried a threat. If Wang Bert did not teach him a lesson, Tivan might actually think Wang Bert feared him!
The Elders of the Universe were immortal, but wasn’t he, the Blood God, the same?
Next, Wang Bert returned to Xandar. After thinking for a moment, he called Natasha. "I have a mission for you. Are you free?"
"Of course."
Natasha said excitedly, "I’m sick to death of fighting every day. I’m not some thug—I’m a top-tier agent."
"Good. We’ll talk in person."
Wang Bert opened a portal, and Natasha stepped out. She got straight to the point. "What do you need me to do? It’d better be exciting. I haven’t been able to touch a man lately, and I’m bored to death."
"What kind of savage words are those?"
Wang Bert was speechless. He briefly explained the situation in Knowhere, then said, "I need you to infiltrate Knowhere and gather intelligence on Tivan and those criminals."
"A paradise of crime? I like places like that."
Natasha giggled. "No problem. Leave it to me. I guarantee I’ll handle it perfectly."
"Good."
Wang Bert nodded in satisfaction. "I’ll arrange a new identity for you. What else do you need?"
"I definitely need a universal translator."
Natasha said, "Also, I need a few Ravager partners. I’ve never operated in space before, so it’ll be easy to give myself away."
"No problem. We captured quite a few Ravagers last time. I’ll pick a few for you."
Natasha smiled. "Other than that, I’ll need some money. That shouldn’t be difficult for you."
Wang Bert laughed loudly. "Of course it isn’t difficult. I’m making tens of millions a day now."
"Blood God, you’re awesome."
Natasha giggled. "By the way, can I bring my suit?"
"You can, but don’t use it unless necessary. The suit is practically a specialty of Earth, so it’ll be easy for people to recognize it."
Wang Bert said, "Summon your suit over."
Natasha nodded and summoned the Black Widow suit through a space gate. Wang Bert casually took out a platinum bracelet and infused it with Space Energy. The bracelet glowed faintly.
Then, Wang Bert aimed the bracelet at the Black Widow suit. With a flash of light, the suit vanished, while the bracelet’s glow dimmed.
Wang Bert handed the bracelet to Natasha. "Natasha, your suit is inside this bracelet. As long as you say the command phrase, the bracelet will release it."
"That useful?"
Natasha’s eyes lit up. "Can it be used repeatedly?"
Wang Bert shook his head. "No. Once it’s used, I’ll need to recharge it."
"What a pity. I’ll go get ready."
Natasha said regretfully. Wang Bert nodded. "Mm. If you run into danger, call my name. I’ll come save you."
"Thanks."
Natasha blew Wang Bert a kiss, then turned and left with Crystal. She needed to familiarize herself with the information.
Wang Bert smiled. Recalling what Natasha had said earlier, he could not help narrowing his eyes.
Besides his Space Magic, there was something else that was well suited for Super Heroes to carry equipment with: Pym Particles.
In fact, Pym Particles could be useful in many fields, such as space exploration or medicine. They were truly the pinnacle of black technology.
The problem was that the Pym Particles in Wang Bert’s possession could not be exposed.
With Dr. Pym’s personality, he definitely won’t hand over the Pym Particles. Hmm, wait. In Ant-Man, Dr. Pym’s bald disciple seemed to have developed Pym Particles too. Maybe I can make something happen there.
Wang Bert thought silently. At that moment, Crystal returned and said, "Blood God, I’ve made the arrangements for Natasha."
"Very good."
Wang Bert nodded. "Crystal, there are many matters on Earth, so I can’t stay on Xandar all the time. After I leave, you’ll take over Earth Express."
"I’ll take over?"
Crystal was stunned. "Blood God, I can’t open portals. How am I supposed to take over?"
"Don’t worry. I prepared for this long ago."
Wang Bert raised his hand toward Crystal. A ball of blood flew from his palm and entered Crystal’s body.
Wang Bert said, "That blood is one of my avatars, but it has no consciousness of its own. You’ll need to order it around."
"Blood God will be inside my body, and it’ll even obey my commands?"
Crystal’s eyes shone brightly. Wang Bert said irritably, "Don’t let your imagination run wild, and don’t use my avatar for anything strange."
Crystal lowered her head somewhat embarrassedly. "Don’t worry, Blood God. I’ll definitely manage Earth Express properly."
"Mm. Once the matter of the Celestial Convergence is resolved, I’ll return."
Wang Bert nodded. The Celestial Convergence was not far away.
Half a month later, in Knowhere, the door to a bar opened and a hot-bodied beauty walked inside. A Ravager was about to whistle at her when his companion tightly covered his mouth.
That companion warned fearfully, "Don’t get yourself killed. She’s Fire Spider."
The Ravager was horrified. Was that the legendary Fire Spider who ate men?
"A bunch of useless men."
Fire Spider—Natasha in disguise—smirked disdainfully. She ordered a drink and gathered intelligence as she drank. Just then, she saw a green figure in a cloak enter the bar.
"Gamora."
Natasha recognized her immediately and smiled. She had never forgotten the title of "the most dangerous woman in the universe."
Gamora, you escaped last time. This time, let’s have a proper match. That title of yours is mine.
Gamora, who was about to drink, suddenly felt a chill in her heart. She immediately scanned her surroundings without drawing attention, but found nothing. Her gaze sharpened. Someone who could conceal and reveal their killing intent at will—she had encountered a top-tier assassin.
Perfect. Something to entertain me.
Gamora sneered inwardly. She had never feared challenges, because she was the most dangerous woman in the universe.
June.
At a small tavern somewhere in Asgard, Daisy, an Earth celebrity who had come to Asgard for filming, asked her old friend Jane, whom she had not seen in a long time, "Jane, why do you look so unhappy? We haven’t seen each other in almost two years."
"I’m happy to see you."
Jane sighed. "It’s other things that are bothering me."
Daisy asked gossipily, "What is it? Don’t tell me God King Odin is bullying you again?"
God King Odin had always disliked Jane, his prospective daughter-in-law. Jane had once written Daisy a letter complaining about him.
Jane shook her head. "No. Odin is busy now. He mobilizes troops during the day and plays games at night. He has no time to bother with me."
Daisy was dumbfounded. "Playing games? The mighty God King plays games?"
"Yes, that Super Heroes holographic game made by Osborn Corporation."
Jane said with some amusement, "He and a group of young girls grind the Thor dungeon every day, trying to get the unique divine artifact, Thor’s Hammer."
Daisy stared wide-eyed. A father grinding his son’s dungeon? What kind of nonsense was that?
"Who would’ve thought the God King was such an old child? I wonder if he’ll grind his own dungeon one day."
Daisy shook her head and asked, "Since God King Odin isn’t bullying you, what’s bothering you?"
Jane said listlessly, "Thor. He keeps calling out a name in his dreams."
"What? He’s cheating on you? I knew muscle-bound men couldn’t be trusted."
Daisy said angrily, "Whose name is he calling? I’ll go beat her up with you. I learned quite a bit of martial arts for acting."
Jane answered, "Mjolnir."
"Mjolnir? What an awful name. Uh…"
Daisy cursed at first, then suddenly realized what it meant. Her face filled with astonishment. "Meow Meow Hammer?"
"Yes. His Meow Meow Hammer was stolen, and he sighs over it every day. I asked him whether I was more important or the hammer was more important. Guess what he said?"
Jane gritted her teeth. "He actually said they were equally important. I’m a beautiful woman, and I’m only as important as some lousy hammer? Do I have no dignity?
What’s worse, I suspect he was only trying to comfort me. At the very least, he’s never called my name in his dreams."
"So what you’re saying is, you’re not even as important as some lousy hammer?"
Jane glared at Daisy. Why did she have to say the harsh truth out loud?
"Alright, alright."
Daisy giggled and encouraged her, "Jane, come back to Earth with me and have some fun. You’re too good to men, so they don’t know how to cherish you."
"Go back to Earth?"
Jane’s eyes lit up. "That’s a good idea. I’ve been away for a long time too. It’s a perfect chance to go collect a few Nobel prizes."
Daisy complained, "Can you just collect Nobel prizes whenever you want? And several at once?"
"With my research achievements, getting Nobel prizes is effortless. Come on, let’s go back to Earth."
Jane said excitedly, "As for Thor, he can spend his life with that hammer."
"That’s the spirit. Come on, let’s go back to Earth."
Daisy laughed loudly. She did not even continue filming, instead taking Jane to "escape" Asgard.
Heimdall did not stop them. He could not be bothered to meddle in Odin’s family affairs. Besides, Thor really did need some stimulation. He had been training for months and was still only producing electric sparks. Even Heimdall could barely stand to watch.
After returning to Earth, Daisy and Jane spent several days shopping in Paris before going to London to visit Dr. Selvig.
Dr. Selvig was overjoyed to see the two women. He completely ignored Daisy and said to Jane, "Jane, hurry and help me calculate some data. I’ve calculated it countless times, but I still can’t get it right."
"What data? Data on the Celestial Convergence?"
Jane asked excitedly. Daisy slapped her forehead speechlessly. She really was a workaholic. She had not been this excited even while shopping the past few days.
"Yes. London is the center point of the Celestial Convergence. Now that it’s getting closer, according to my calculations, a spatial anomaly will appear in London."
Dr. Selvig nodded. "Once we find that anomaly, we can determine the exact time of the Celestial Convergence."
At this point, Dr. Selvig could not help sighing. "Unfortunately, I still can’t calculate its exact location. I’ve gone to several places, but none of them were right."
"That’s because your calculations are wrong. You made a mistake starting here."
Jane pointed at the data. Dr. Selvig suddenly understood, and he recalculated it with Jane. Before long, the two worked out a new location.
"It’s very likely there. We need to investigate immediately."
Dr. Selvig promptly dragged Jane away to get the car. Daisy shook her head and followed helplessly.
Inside the speeding car, Daisy looked out the window and asked in surprise, "Why are there still so many people in London? Didn’t S.W.O.R.D. tell everyone to evacuate as soon as possible?"
"Quite a few people are unwilling to leave. After all, the aliens haven’t actually appeared yet."
Dr. Selvig said, "Some people also don’t believe S.W.O.R.D.’s conclusions. They say aliens will only invade America, not England."
Daisy sneered. "They really don’t know what’s good for them. S.W.O.R.D. belongs to Mr. Wang. How could it possibly release false information?"
"That’s true enough."
Dr. Selvig smiled. Soon, the three arrived in front of an abandoned building.
"There are very strong spatial fluctuations here."
Jane looked at the device in her hand and said impatiently, "Let’s hurry inside and take a look."
Dr. Selvig hurriedly stopped Jane. "Wait, there’s one more thing we need to do."
Jane asked in shock, "What is it?"
Dr. Selvig raised his hand and tapped the red button on his watch. "Mr. Wang instructed us to press the watch before beginning the exploration."
Jane was puzzled. "Why?"
"I don’t know either."
Dr. Selvig shrugged. Just as he was about to say something, the space around them suddenly became wildly distorted. A flock of birds that had been flying in the sky abruptly darted out from behind the three of them, giving them a terrible fright.
"This is the spatial singularity."
Dr. Selvig turned excitedly and shouted at Jane, only to find that she had vanished.
