Q: "Is it finished?"

A: "It is finished."

Q: "How do you feel about the ending?"

A: "It is the plain and simple ending that I like."

Q: "By the way, are you really a newcomer?"

A: "Yes and no. It is not my first time writing a book, but I used to write fan fiction, so my proficiency with the cultivation side simulator was a bit low; my brain had not shifted gears back then."

Q: "What made you think of writing this on Tomato?"

A: "Because when I started the book, I felt there would be a lot of slice-of-life content in this genre. If it were a paid subscription System, I feared many people would choose to skip it because they would hate to spend money, so I wanted to use free reading to let the majority of readers have a complete reading experience."

Q: "Do you think you wrote it well?"

A: "Mediocre, I suppose. Although I would love to brag about myself, I still have self-awareness. During the Late Stage of the book, my inspiration inevitably began to dry up, but fortunately, it landed peacefully."

Q: "Does the simulator have an origin, or was it just created by Xu Xi?"

A: "The current setting is that Xu Xi forms a closed loop, but in the early outline, there was a more angst-filled origin. I thought about it and decided it was unnecessary; since it was almost the grand finale, there was no need to create tragedy, so I removed that setting."

Q: "Why is Xu Xi called Xu Xi?"

A: "The surname was thought of randomly, and the character [Xi] actually means System, because when I was conceiving the outline, I always felt that Xu Xi was very much like a Golden Finger grandfather, gifting cheats to the heroines."

Q: "After this book ends, when do you plan to start a new one?"

A: "I plan to rest for two months. Actually, I have thought about a few subjects, but none gave me a strong urge, so I want to take a break first before deciding."

Before I knew it, this book had already reached one million words.

The book was started on September 10th, 2024, but if you count the actual time spent conceiving the outline, it has actually been a full year.

On my computer desktop, there has been a txt document sitting there for a long time, used to store the inspiration for this book. Every time I finished writing a plot segment, I would delete that part of the outline and then conceive and add a new outline.

Just now.

Having finished writing the entire plot, I deleted all the outlines in the document.

Looking at the blank page, I opened and closed it back and forth, probably ten times, and finally, I had a real sense of completion.

The creation date of the document is July 9th, 2024.

It happens to be the same date as today, exactly one full year.

There is no need to update anymore.

The story of Xu Xi is frozen in time today, one year later.

Should I say thank you? That doesn't seem quite accurate. I am very happy that so many people liked this work and watched Xu Xi reach the very end.

The completion of a book is absolutely not just the author's merit.

Everyone who watched it from serialization to the end was a part of that contribution.

I was just the one who put in the most effort.

That is all.

As for the future, there will likely be no side stories. In order to reach one million words, I racked my brains (laughs).
