Conflict Ends

A Reality Marble was the manifestation of the user’s inner world storm, a subtype of imaginary realization.

This ability could replace the relationship between man and world, materializing the user’s inner world formed through magecraft and their heart into reality, altering local reality.

At the same time, because the user’s inner world was not something they could freely alter or control, not everything within a Reality Marble would develop in the direction the user desired.

A Reality Marble was a universal set of rules. Its controller was merely more adapted to those rules than anyone else.

Qilin Temple knew very well that Hongye’s Crimson Night was a special Title Ability formed by combining multiple Reality Marbles from the Type-Moon World into a single space.

It was a uniquely powerful title, far rarer and stronger than a "mass-produced" title like his Seven-Colored Mage.

If the Space were a machine, then the computing power consumed to create Crimson Night would be far greater than that required for titles like Seven-Colored Mage and Crimson Lotus Mage, which had been tailor-made for magic-oriented Reincarnators.

That was why everyone’s evaluations favored Hongye over him.

Qilin Temple bound the beastly Mercenary Tao with golden chains. As the chant grew increasingly impassioned, he sensed that something was wrong.

Within this Reality Marble, which should have been stable, mana particles were running wild and magical power was boiling over.

This was completely unlike ordinary magic. He began to question whether the intelligence obtained at the gathering had been accurate.

But that intelligence had clearly come from someone on this woman’s team.

Could it be… that she had been hiding some ability from the very beginning, one even her teammates had never seen?

He decided to kill Mercenary Tao first before dealing with Hongye. With the Duplication Eye, so long as it was magic, he could still maintain the advantage.

Qilin Temple looked at Mercenary Tao, whom he had restrained with the Axe of Ekko and Energy Whips. He raised his right hand, and dense magical power carrying the aura of death appeared at his fingertips in an instant. The next moment, a deep green beam shot from his hand.

It traced a curved path through the air and struck the bound Mercenary Tao in an instant.

Finger of Death!

This was a spell created purely to kill its target. It unleashed powerful magical power to directly destroy the target’s body and imposed an instant-death check.

Even if the check failed, the sheer magical power would inflict tremendous damage.

Bang!

The bound "Mercenary Tao" exploded with a crash, turning into fragments that flew in all directions.

Qilin Temple frowned. Only then did he realize that he had not received a kill notification from the Space Panel.

Bai Cangshu stood behind Qilin Temple with his arms spread wide, Satsui no Hado already covering his entire body.

Uchiha Madara, whose soul power was weakened, turned into a pitch-black shadow with a cold expression and was absorbed by Bai Cangshu once more.

Qilin Temple failed to notice that Crimson Night had rapidly dimmed, while Bai Cangshu stood behind him, poised to strike.

The sky suddenly lit up. Qilin Temple saw that the Mercenary Tao he had blasted into pieces was actually nothing more than several shattered rocks. Other than the ground, the surroundings were all magma, and all enhancements from the Reality Marble rapidly vanished.

Only then did he hear terrifying breathing behind him. At this very moment, with Crimson Night ending, the characteristic that had allowed him to become a phenomenon through this Reality Marble had also disappeared.

"Super-Tier Magic: Skyfall."

As though it were a reminder, or as though she were adhering to some special vow, the woman finished her chant. Destructive magical power had already gathered in the sky, and enormous magic circles overlapped and unfolded overhead.

At that moment, everyone throughout the Kokang Special Region could look up and see the terrifying pattern in the sky.

Then came pure heat and light, emerging from the magic circles and stealing everyone’s vision in an instant.

The descending light fell in but a moment.

Qilin Temple’s heart sank, and his scalp went numb. This destructive magical power had completed its entire casting. Through his Duplication Eye, all he could see was that devastating white light descending.

Magic circles appeared before him one after another as countless countermeasure spells took effect. But he hesitated, fearing that this 0.35-second casting would not stop a Super-Tier Magic, so he wanted to teleport away.

So long as he returned to the Finality Empire, even if he were grievously wounded, he could still be saved.

Buzz!

The golden magic circle before him began to rotate as though it were about to open a door.

But in the next instant, boundless killing intent enveloped the surroundings. Qilin Temple’s vision went black, and he felt as though he had fallen into some kind of Reality Marble again. Heaven and earth were utterly dark.

He spun around.

"Idiot, if you don’t leave now, you’ll die too!"

There was no reply. Only a howl like the wailing of ghosts and crying of wolves echoed through the endless darkness.

Bang!

A fist slammed into Qilin Temple’s body.

Bang bang bang bang…

Countless fists struck him almost simultaneously. Through his Duplication Eye, he saw what seemed to be hundreds or thousands of Mercenary Taos throwing punches at once.

Shun Goku Satsu!

Bai Cangshu could already feel the high heat that seemed capable of melting everything. The exhilarating sensation of long-absent adrenaline flooding his body made him feel fearless.

Following the momentum of his fists, pitch-black Myriad Death Intent surged once more.

Puff puff bang…

Several Death Intent Senluo attacks were mixed into the chain of strikes.

Death Intent Senluo has taken effect. A saving throw is being made

Clang!

An emerald-green sword light swept across like a fan, nearly grazing Bai Cangshu as it sliced off Qilin Temple’s head. His black top hat fell to the ground.

Bai Cangshu was still in his instant state. He turned and saw Li Qingzi in the distance, blood streaking her face, her expression crazed after delivering that slash. Then the white light from the sky descended, swallowing everything.

Bai Cangshu fell backward, transforming into wind at the critical moment.

Boom!

The world seemed to dissolve in silence. The ground turned to crystal in an instant, and the streets that sank more than two meters downward completely crystallized, as though they had become liquid and begun to flow.

Bai Cangshu staggered two steps before emerging from the wind. Smoke rose from his body. That instant of extreme heat had nearly set him ablaze, but injuries of this degree could not kill him.

He turned to look at the woman standing atop a distant building. She showed no intention of continuing the attack;

Bai Cangshu raised his left hand high. The sky rapidly darkened, and before the woman’s astonished eyes, it seemed as though the entire sky were pressing downward.

Only then did Hongye sense something amiss. The other party had survived her ability and seemed intent on attacking again?

She could sense that numerous drone formations were already approaching. That meant East Xia had completed its ambush mission in that mountain hollow and was preparing to clear out Kokang’s urban district.

Crack!

The lightning in the sky had not built up to its peak, but that bolt seemed to lock onto her by some unseen force.

The space several dozen meters above Hongye rapidly turned crimson, and she instantly entered a miniature Reality Marble.

Bang!

Green smoke rose. Hongye waved her hand to disperse the dust. Blood streamed down the woman’s face. That lightning strike had actually pierced through her Reality Marble.

Her carelessness had played a part in this, but judging from that strike, Mercenary Tao truly possessed the ability to attack and kill genuine Title-level Reincarnators like herself.

She looked at Qilin Temple’s corpse, which had already vanished in the distance, and thought that he had not died unjustly. Perhaps if not for her Crimson Night, even in a direct one-on-one battle, Qilin Temple might well have been unable to match Mercenary Tao and could only have relied on his versatile magic to stall for time.

Smoke rose from Bai Cangshu’s entire body as he stood atop a blue-and-white single-person craft. In one hand, he carried Li Qingzi, who looked like a lump of charcoal, and in the other, he held three Scarlet Drop Cards as he rapidly departed from the sky.

He patted the woman, who seemed almost "fully cooked," and for the first time, he no longer looked at her as though she were a slave.

"You’ve grown a little too~"

The two landed in an uninhabited mountain forest before rapidly returning to the Private Space. Bai Cangshu immediately spoke.

"Full-body healing. Deduct the points from her."
