Cosmic Super Alliance
"Looks like Tivan found out after all."
In the Knowhere museum, Wang Bert looked at the antique Mirror in his hand, snorted, and sealed it away.
Though there had been a minor mishap, Wang Bert did not take it too seriously. Tivan would find out sooner or later—if the other party never found out, how could it count as a lesson? After putting away the Mirror, Wang Bert turned to the dejected Cosmo and asked, "Natasha told you what happened?"
"I never thought vile capitalism would win in the end."
Cosmo’s voice echoed in Wang Bert’s mind. That was its Mind Power.
"The times have changed. This is now the era of the Earth Federation."
Wang Bert did not elaborate. He said, "Go back to Earth and take a look around. I’ll have my disciple accompany you. And you, duck over there—do you want to go to Earth too?"
The duck Wang Bert referred to was Howard the Duck, who looked somewhat like Donald Duck. He asked, "You’re not going to imprison me?"
"I’m not Tivan. I don’t have a habit of displaying living creatures."
Wang Bert said, "As long as you register with S.W.O.R.D., you’ll be free to move around Earth."
Howard let out a sigh of relief and said gratefully, "Thank you for saving me. I’m willing to register with S.W.O.R.D."
"Cosmo, don’t overthink it. Go have a look around first."
Wang Bert spoke to Cosmo. Cosmo nodded and said, "All right, I’ll return to Earth first. Thank you for saving me."
"No need to be so polite."
Wang Bert smiled and opened a portal, sending Cosmo and Howard back to S.W.O.R.D.
Natasha walked in and said with a smile, "Looks like you just wanted to do a good deed while you were at it."
"Why not do it when it costs me nothing?"
Wang Bert asked, "Is everything under control?"
"All the wanted criminals have been locked up."
Natasha nodded before asking, "Bert, you didn’t do all this just to vent your anger, did you?"
Wang Bert smiled. "What if I said I did?"
"Then congratulations," Natasha said. "You’ll become the most petty man in the universe."
"That title isn’t too bad."
Wang Bert stomped his foot and said, "Venting my anger is one reason. The other is the Celestial Head and its wealth."
"The Celestial Head? Isn’t it just a dead object?"
Natasha asked in confusion, "And as for wealth, do you even lack money? You make at least several million a day, don’t you?"
"In the Collector’s hands, the Celestial Head is indeed a dead object. But not in mine."
Wang Bert smiled and secretly sent a wisp of Eternal Fire into the Celestial Head beneath his feet. The Celestial Head trembled slightly, then immediately returned to calm.
Eternal Fire could grant life to dead objects, but this Celestial Head was incomplete. To restore it, he first had to repair it.
Naturally, there was no need to tell Natasha that. Wang Bert continued, "No one ever thinks they have too much money. I want to buy a planet and lease it to Earth, motivating them to enter the interstellar age.
Simply put, I provide the land, they provide the people, and together we build the planet."
Natasha stared at him in shock. "You can buy planets? Just how rich are you?"
"Of course you can. Resource Stars, scenic planets, colony planets—if you have enough money, you can buy anything. You can even have the Three Great Empires protect you for a set number of years."
Wang Bert said, "Compared to the universe, Earth is simply too small."
"You’re incredible."
Natasha gave Wang Bert a thumbs-up. Some people worried that Wang Bert wanted to rule Earth, never realizing that, to him, a mere planet like Earth was nothing at all.
"Isn’t that obvious?"
Wang Bert shrugged. Just as he was about to speak, he suddenly received a transmission from Doom. Raising his hand, he opened a portal, and Iron Mask Doom stepped through.
As Doom scanned the surroundings, he asked, "This is the Celestial Head you mentioned?"
Wang Bert nodded. "Yes. Help me repair it and determine what the Celestial Head does."
"No problem. I’m very interested in Celestial Heads. I’ll study this dead one first. In the future, I’ll capture a living Celestial and study it slowly."
Nebula looked at Doom as if he were insane. What else could someone who dared set his sights on a Celestial be? Doom noticed Nebula’s gaze, turned to inspect her from head to toe, and said with great interest, "I’m very interested in your body."
Natasha looked at Doom in astonishment. Nebula was a robot.
Nebula said with murderous intent, "Why are there so many perverts in this world? Someone said the same thing to me last time. Do you know what happened to him? I chopped him into pieces and fed him to dogs."
"I’m only interested in the machinery inside your body."
Doom said, "Let me study your body, and I’ll help you regain a flesh-and-blood body."
Nebula froze, then asked incredulously, "You can turn me back into a person?"
"It won’t be difficult, as long as you still have some biological tissue left."
Doom said, "But I can’t guarantee the quality. I’ve never conducted this kind of experiment before. If you want a perfect body, I suggest you find the Blood God. His cloning technology can help you."
Nebula looked at Wang Bert in delight. Wang Bert shrugged and said, "I was originally planning to use this to win people over. Nebula, if you want to transfer into a cloned body, your soul must be very strong.
In other words, you must first cultivate the Soul Secret Technique."
Nebula asked impatiently, "How long do I need to train before I can transfer bodies?"
"It varies depending on your aptitude. Generally, it takes around three years."
Wang Bert glanced at Doom and said somewhat unhappily, "If you had talent like Doom’s, three months would be enough."
"Actually, I only need one month."
Doom said indifferently, "Nebula, was it? Your aptitude is quite average. I suggest becoming my test subject instead."
Natasha could not help mocking him. "Bert, where did you find this evil scientist?"
"Doom is not an evil scientist. He’s a king, a king who is about to unify the Eastern European nations and bring them into the Earth Federation."
Wang Bert said, "Besides that, he’s also a devoted man. Even though his fiancée ran away with another man, he still couldn’t bear to harm her in the slightest. To protect her, he was even willing to suffer magical backlash."
Natasha and Nebula both looked at Doom in surprise. A devoted king? He certainly did not look like one.
Doom’s face behind the mask darkened slightly. He asked, "You watched my battle with the Fantastic Four?"
"No, I watched it openly. I even bet Tony and the others that you would lose, and won a hotel in a casino."
Wang Bert said, "By the way, when you said you blessed them, you looked so lonely that Skye nearly cried."
Doom’s old face could no longer bear it. He fired a stream of electricity at Wang Bert, who laughed loudly and dodged. He said, "All right, get to work. If you need anything, just let me know."
Doom snorted and asked Nebula, "Which will it be?"
Nebula asked, "If I go with you, how long will it take for me to regain a flesh-and-blood body?"
"The worse the quality, the faster it will be. If you don’t mind switching to a cockroach body, I can do it right now."
Nebula gritted her teeth. "Fine. You can study my body."
Wang Bert and Natasha both felt like rolling their eyes. What kind of outrageous thing was that to say? Doom nodded and left with Nebula. Watching their backs, Wang Bert could not help touching his nose. Those two actually seemed rather well matched.
Half a month later, aboard the Dark Aster, Tivan walked up to the frowning Ronan and said, "The Ravagers Alliance has sent a fleet to join us."
Ronan did not seem particularly pleased, because far too many people had come to join him recently. Some had even practically bowed and pledged themselves on the spot. He had grown numb to it.
Ronan slowly asked, "Did they also say they were willing to raise the banner of righteousness with me and eradicate Xandar, that scum of the universe?"
"No. They were very straightforward. They want to kill the Blood God for revenge."
Tivan smiled. "Ronan, those people outside did not come for you. They came for the Space Stone. You merely gave them a banner to rally under."
"I know. The problem is, aren’t there too many of them?"
Ronan looked at the dense mass of fleets outside the window and said, "Even the legion I commanded in the Kree Empire did not have this many troops. And some of their warships are even on the same level as regular military vessels."
"They are regular military vessels."
Tivan pointed at the fleet on the right and said, "That is a Kree Empire fleet. To keep you from noticing, they found a Ravager to serve as their nominal leader and modified their warships."
"A Kree Empire fleet? How is that possible? If they really are from the Kree Empire, why didn’t they come directly to me?"
Ronan asked in astonishment. During this period, he had been busy entertaining visitors and dealing with logistics, leaving him no time to learn the details of these fleets.
Tivan smiled. "Because you’re a wanted criminal, and because their identities cannot be exposed. Xandar has a decent reputation, so the Three Great Empires cannot openly move against it. That is why they are all acting in disguise as Ravagers."
"All Three Great Empires are here?"
Ronan was deeply shocked. The universe’s Three Great Empires were the Kree Empire, the Skrull Empire, and the Shi’ar Empire.
Among them, both the Kree Empire and the Skrull Empire had interacted with humanity. Captain Marvel had even saved a group of Skrulls unwilling to take part in war.
"Yes, the Skrull Empire is over there. They can transform into other people, so it’s normal that you didn’t notice them."
Tivan said, "The Shi’ar Empire has also sent someone, though only one person."
"Only one?"
Ronan’s expression became solemn. The Shi’ar Empire sending only one person meant they had immense confidence in him, believing that he alone could rival an entire fleet.
"Yes, only one. The Shi’ar Imperial Guard Captain, Gladiator. I once wanted to collect his corpse, so I recognized him even in disguise."
Tivan nodded and said, "If his confidence is strong enough, he may even reach the God-Devil Level."
"I’ve heard of Gladiator. He is an unparalleled powerhouse of the Shi’ar Empire."
Ronan nodded with a grim expression, then asked, "What other major powers have sent people?"
"Quite a few. For example, the gleaming Sovereign."
Tivan smiled. "Saying they sent people is not quite accurate. They only sent their remotely controlled spacecraft. The Sovereign’s remote-control technology is unmatched in the universe."
"Tivan, with so many forces involved, how are we supposed to seize the Power Stone and the Space Stone?"
Ronan’s brow furrowed deeply. The strength of this alliance had already far surpassed his own.
"I didn’t tell them about the Power Stone."
Tivan said, "As for the Space Stone, Ronan, I can’t guarantee that for you. You can only seize it yourself."
Ronan fell silent for a moment, then said, "Then we’ll each rely on our own abilities. At the very least, Xandar will definitely be destroyed this time."
"That is certain."
Tivan’s eyes flickered. He had no intention of giving up the Power Stone or the Space Stone—for this battle, he had specifically recruited a Champion-level powerhouse from the Grandmaster.
"Blood God, since you refused my goodwill, don’t blame me for being ruthless."
Tivan snorted inwardly and said, "Ronan, do you want to meet the person sent by the Ravagers Alliance? He says he can help you handle the logistics."
"Really?"
Ronan was delighted. With so many people gathered together, logistics were incredibly troublesome. He had been so busy these past few days that he had nearly pulled all his hair out.
"Really."
Tivan smiled and went out to bring the man in. He was a bald, one-eyed man wearing a leather jacket. When he saw Ronan, he smiled and said, "Alliance Leader Ronan, I’ve heard much about you."
"Alliance Leader?"
Ronan did not reject the title. He asked, "Can you truly handle the logistics for this many people?"
"No problem. I handle the logistics for the Ravagers Alliance as well."
Cyclops smiled. "However, you must provide me with sufficient funds. Keeping this many people together will not be cheap."
Ronan looked at the somewhat slick-looking one-eyed man and slowly said, "Fine. I’ll give you enough funding, but you cannot make any mistakes."
Cyclops said confidently, "No problem. I’m famously reliable when it comes to getting things done."
"Blood God, what the hell are you doing? You actually created such a huge mess. Ronan is gathering an army to attack Xandar…"
Hill’s furious voice came through the communicator. Wang Bert said, "What is this, eighteen warlords joining forces to attack Dong Zhuo?"
Wang Bert did not mind playing the role of fat Dong Zhuo. The question was, where was Diao Chan, and where was his son Fengxian?
"You still have time to joke around?"
Hill said irritably, "With the forces in Ronan’s alliance, Xandar may not be able to hold them off. Once Xandar falls, Earth will be next."
"They’re just a motley rabble. You don’t need to worry so much. Be careful not to lose too much hair and end up like Fury."
Wang Bert said calmly.
"A motley rabble?"
Hill was so angry she laughed. "Blood God, do you know that Ronan’s alliance includes the regular forces of the Three Great Empires and other major powers?"
"So what?"
Wang Bert smiled and said, "I told you before: other than god-level civilizations and God-Devil Level beings, I don’t take anything else seriously. The Three Great Empires may be powerful, but they are not god-level civilizations."
Hill asked with some surprise, "Are you really that confident?"
"One hundred percent confident. Hill, to me, they really are just a motley rabble. I’m not even interested in personally taking action."
Wang Bert said. With his current strength, this so-called alliance was not worth mentioning at all.
Aside from lacking some experience, Wang Bert was already fully qualified to serve as Earth Guardian.
