After finishing his afternoon tea, Harvey continued reading.

Sonia noticed that the book in Mr. Kassadin’s hands had originated from Earth after being translated.

"Mr. Kassadin, did you just make a trip to Earth?"

Seeing where those books had come from, Sonia asked curiously.

"Earth’s civilization and technology may not be very advanced."

"But it is God King Odin’s territory, so many myths and legends have been left behind there."

"Considering the feudal system, these books from Earth can provide me with some help, so I made a trip there."

Harvey replied casually, his eyes remaining on the book as he nodded.

"You were able to make a round trip to Earth so quickly?"

Hearing that Mr. Kassadin really had gone to Earth, Sonia’s eyes flickered as she asked with a smile.

"This round trip required the use of a great deal of power, so I can’t do that for the time being…"

When Kassadin heard Sonia’s question, Harvey smiled on the surface, but for some reason, he sensed a hint of resentment in her words. His mind raced before he spoke.

He could travel back and forth so easily, yet whenever he went to Earth, he stayed there for a year or even longer, completely acting like a hands-off boss.

Leaving Sonia alone to watch over Void Island and worry about its construction and development did seem a little unfair.

"I see."

When Sonia heard Mr. Kassadin say that he had used a great deal of power, she knew it was only an excuse.

After all, Mr. Kassadin had only returned today, yet he could immediately go to Earth and return to Xandar again.

However, considering her status, she did not press the matter further.

Still, she had discovered that Mr. Kassadin could travel back and forth so easily, yet he had not returned to take a look even once in over a year.

That left Sonia feeling somewhat downcast.

"There are some interesting things to watch on Earth, so I’ll still go there from time to time."

"But only for the next few years. Once the show is over, I should spend more time here."

Harvey paused when he saw Sonia’s disappointment despite her not asking further, then spoke.

Sonia handled practically everything on the island, so he still had to consider her feelings.

Besides, once Tony brought Earth’s technology into the interstellar age, Tony and the others would probably choose to come into the universe as well. There would naturally be plenty to watch then, and it would no longer be limited to Earth.

"Really?"

When Sonia heard that Mr. Kassadin would spend more time here in a few years, the disappointment in her eyes instantly vanished, and a faint smile appeared on her face.

As long as she could see Mr. Kassadin every day, it was something worth being happy about.

That way, she would not have to think through everything and make all the decisions alone. She would have someone to discuss things with.

She also would not always have to worry on the island about whether she might do something that harmed her status.

"Of course."

Seeing Sonia brighten up immediately, Harvey’s eyes flickered as he nodded.

No one liked working all the time. Although Sonia’s personality would not allow her to idle around, she worked year-round and surely hoped to relax occasionally.

That was why Harvey wanted to find someone else to serve as a recorder, so Sonia would not be busy every day without any rest.

Yet compared to getting a little more rest each day, Sonia seemed to prefer having him nearby.

Realizing that made Harvey even more certain that he needed to find more people to share some of the island’s work.

That way, Sonia would not be unable to leave the island because of how busy she was.

Instead, she could regularly find time to go out for a walk, or even visit other planets to relax.

"I’ll go check on the other members of the island."

After receiving Mr. Kassadin’s confirmation, Sonia checked the time and found that it was already three thirty in the afternoon. She immediately stood up and said with a smile.

Although Mr. Kassadin would not stay here for long periods right away, only in the future, it was enough to know that he would eventually remain here.

"Mm."

Seeing Sonia full of motivation, Harvey nodded to show that he understood.

Sonia then left to carry out her daily inspection.

Over the following week, Harvey saw Sonia wearing a smile every day.

Her cheerful appearance made Harvey unsure whether saying that he would stay here in the future had been a good thing or a bad thing.

As the week passed, the Records Office was completed as well.

It was built near the unavoidable route between the harbor and the landing pad leading to the cafeteria, about five kilometers from the cafeteria.

Even for the most ordinary people, that distance was not particularly far.

For Sarah, who was from Xandar and had better physical fitness, walking that distance took only around ten minutes.

For the members of the Void Cult, it was even less of a problem.

Harvey watched Sonia leave, clearly intending to see whether Sarah would make any mistakes.

However, Harvey was not particularly worried, just as he had guessed.

Because there were relatively few women on Void Island, Sarah’s arrival made many of the men on the island quite happy.

Especially after learning that Sarah planned to live on the island for at least a year, they all took the initiative to greet her.

Moreover, Sarah was not the kind of woman who acted one way in public and another in private. She spoke with them openly and generously.

Thus, in just one week, Sarah had built good relationships with most of the male members of the Void Cult.

It was also on this day that Tony Stark, Renoli, and the others returned from Earth.

Tony had actually wanted to return long ago.

However, he needed to handle the postwar aftermath on Earth, reassure the public, and personally pay some compensation.

He also needed to properly settle Banner, Steve, and Peggy, which was why he had been delayed until now.

When they had just returned to the island and stepped off the landing pad—

"My treat. Shall we go get something to eat together?"

Tony looked at Renoli and the others, who had happened to come out with him, and directly invited them.

Renoli and Kyle had helped him greatly. Although Tony had hosted them on Earth, he still felt that it was not enough compensation.

"Then we won’t stand on ceremony."

Renoli did not refuse. Soon, they headed together toward the cafeteria along the road.

"The island has changed quite a lot too."

Tony looked at the island, which had undergone many changes and gained numerous facilities he had never seen before, and spoke.

"This is all thanks to Miss Sonia. From time to time, she holds votes."

"She asks the other members on the island what facilities or services they are most interested in having built."

"So in just over a year, she has turned this entire island into something like an advanced, prosperous city."

"And there are more chefs now too. You could eat delicious food all year round without repeating the same dishes."

"If you hadn’t asked us to go help you, we’d still be enjoying ourselves on the island."

Kyle smiled as he spoke, making no effort to hide the admiration in his voice.
