Crewmate 1, Heading to Emei (Third Watch)

Chapter 276: Crew Member +1, Heading to Emei (Third Update)

A small boat swayed its way to the shore of Windmill Island and stopped not far away from the Ghost Radish.

The salty sea breeze swept the Copper Bell into a jingling collision with the wooden door as Nico Robin’s suede ankle boots stepped over peanut shells and beer bottles scattered across the floor.

Removing her sunglasses blurred by the salt mist, Robin walked to the bar. "Tequila, on the rocks." She tapped the oak counter with her fingers, her peripheral vision sweeping toward the booth in the corner.

Fang Yu was poking at the grilled fish on Vivi’s plate with a toothpick. Brook played the melody of "Binks’ Sake" on the bar’s piano, while Carrot and Perona played cards. Every member of the Ghost Radish was present.

Holding her tequila, Nico Robin walked over to the corner.

The moment she sat down, she suddenly sensed someone approaching in front of her.

"Ma’am." Fang Yu carried his drink to the adjacent seat. "You followed us all the way from Alabasta. Thirsty, right? This one’s on me."

Robin was somewhat surprised, but she still said, "The environment here is much better than Alabasta’s." She took a sip, the burning sensation in her throat concealing her quickened heartbeat. "Although I don’t know how you took away that Poneglyph tablet, I’d like to ask you something. May I see it?"

Bang!

Vivi’s fork suddenly pierced through the tabletop. "Crocodile’s remnants still haven’t given up?"

"Princess Vivi’s vigilance is tighter than the murals in the Royal Tomb." Robin raised her glass. "What interests me are older secrets—such as the Poneglyph."

Brook stood up from the piano. "Though I’d really like to see the color of this lady’s panties, I still have to tell the Captain that this suspicious stranger is best not trusted!"

Fang Yu shook his head with a smile. "Since she wants to see it, it’s not like I can’t show her. Type 1 to see the Poneglyph."

Nico Robin’s eyes instantly widened. "You’re really letting me see it?"

"Guaranteed."

As soon as he finished speaking, Fang Yu instantly appeared before Nico Robin, placed a hand on her shoulder, and pulled her into a desert in an instant!

Thick branches formed by Wood Release supported the area around this desert. There were only two stone tablets in the space, and nothing else besides them.

Nico Robin’s arm brushed across the moss on the tablet’s surface, her fingertips trembling slightly over the ancient text that had not been seen for eight hundred years.

"Read it."

Robin’s pupils reflected the cuneiform script. "This is where the weapon lord Pluton rests. The iron ship slumbers within the Red Line. When the three-colored stars meet at the equator, the Gate of the Underworld shall be opened by the blood of something or other."

Her fingertips suddenly pressed against a spiral-shaped engraving. "This is the erased repentance of the makers—what we forged was not for slaughter, yet the kingdom of gods used blood as sacrifice, ultimately sealing Pluton forever within the Earth Vein."

She then looked at the second tablet.

Robin’s breathing suddenly quickened. "To the Mermaid Princess, regarding the promise from eight hundred years ago: With Sun Tree Eve as witness, we shall surely build the great ship Noah and lead your people to bathe in sunlight. Should we fail to fulfill this promise, may those who hold this text in future generations shatter our crown!"

"Don’t get it." Fang Yu shook his head, and Nico Robin continued reading.

"Yet we were defeated by the armies of the gods. Noah sank forever into Fish-Man Island. This sin shall be repaid in blood by the Clan of D."

Fang Yu watched as Nico Robin recorded the words from the two tablets section by section, with no intention of stopping her.

To him, let alone secrets from eight hundred years ago, even secrets from eight thousand years ago held no interest.

Compared to the secrets of the Grand Line, he wanted more to decipher Asgard’s runes.

Stephen Fang sat cross-legged atop Asgard’s highest observatory, allowing the cold wind to tear at his robes.

This was the ninth day of his seclusion, and Asgard’s Levitation Spell remained stuck at its final step.

The ancient texts’ talk about "sensing Atmospheric Spirits" was far too mystical, so he decided to cast aside all rune artifacts and rely solely on the most primitive magical perception.

"Breathe as though a feather is falling upon a lake." He silently recited the advice of Thor’s mother, Frigga, and sank his consciousness into his chest cavity.

On his twelfth attempt, Stephen immediately focused his mind and imagined himself as a fluffy dandelion seed head.

Suddenly, every hair on the back of the neck stood on end.

He sensed golden specks of light drifting through the air!

When the light specks touched his fingertips, Stephen abruptly spread his arms like a fledgling eagle flapping its wings for the first time.

"Rise!"

This time, there was no spell or gesture. He relied purely on his will to pull himself upward.

When his knees rose three inches from the ground, his whole body suddenly lost balance and crashed down.

The back of the head struck the stone slab with a dull thud, startling the Magic Ravens nesting at the top of the tower into flight.

After falling for the third time, Stephen finally grasped the trick.

He stopped forcing the energy to flow. Instead, he relaxed every muscle in his body and let the wind lift him on its own.

At dawn, Stephen finally hovered unsteadily in the air!

To his surprise, he found himself gently rising and falling with the air current, like a balloon floating on ocean waves.

When he tried tilting to the left, magical force immediately gathered at his right waist and pushed him toward the edge of the terrace.

"So that’s how it is!"

"Synchronize Memories!"

"Synchronize Ability!"

"Whoosh!"

After synchronizing to Main God Fang Yu the flight ability that Stephen Fang had only obtained in the Shushan Plane after reaching Foundation Establishment and relying on divine weapons, Stephen Fang stretched lazily.

The Ghoul Bloodline was highly functional, and its strongest trait was flight.

Now that Main God Fang Yu had regained the ability to fly, his chances of survival could greatly increase as well.

At the same time.

In the Shushan Plane, where spiritual energy covered every corner of the world, Li Yingqi had just extracted all the Red Thread Gu from the Central Continent Team members.

After finishing everything, she collapsed to the ground from exhaustion. A male newcomer had just tried to help her up when a flash of white light swept past him, and his leg was directly severed!

Zhao Yingkong charged forward with a dagger, but Fang Yu’s voice came through. "Let her."

Zhao Yingkong snorted coldly, retreated to the rear, and took out Medical Spray to spray the screaming newcomer.

Li Yingqi looked at Fang Yu. "I’ve done everything I promised you. I can leave now, right?"

"Wait." Fang Yu stopped Li Yingqi. "Though we’ve had the reality of husband and wife, I don’t want to have anything to do with you. But I want to stay alive too, so can you give me some Cultivation Technique or something? I want to become stronger."

Li Yingqi rolled her eyes at Fang Yu. "Do you even hear what you’re saying? You’re already at the Nascent Soul Stage. No, wait! Why do you look like a mortal?"

"Don’t worry about that. Are you giving it to me or not?"

Li Yingqi had wanted to refuse.

But when she thought of how Fang Yu had risked his life to bring her out of the Nether Spring Blood Demon’s lair, she knew a cultivator had to repay such a debt.

"The techniques of my Emei are passed only within the sect, never outside it. But by a stroke of fortune, I once obtained a Nameless Technique. Still, let’s be clear first: whatever you manage to cultivate it into has nothing to do with me. You’re the one who asked for it."

Fang Yu nodded. "Mm. Hand it over."

Li Yingqi curled her lips. "How could I possibly carry it on me?"

"No problem. Just tell me where it is."

"Emei."

"Let’s go!"
