Crushing

Mercury looked at Countess Bathory in her long dress and asked, "You bought that mask from the Blood God Group, didn’t you? How much did it cost?"

Countess Bathory immediately looked a little embarrassed. She snorted coldly. "After today, the European Blood Clan will have plenty of ultraviolet-proof masks."

"It’s too early to be dreaming. I hope your clothes are bulletproof."

Mercury smiled disdainfully. Twenty Drone Armors flew out of the surrounding buildings, each equipped with two Gatling guns.

Then, all forty Gatling guns opened fire at once. Bullets swept densely toward the Vampires, covering half the street like a rainstorm of bullets.

All of those bullets were silver-plated and incredibly lethal. In an instant, dozens of Vampires were blasted to pieces and turned to ash.

The remaining Vampires hurried beneath cars and into nearby buildings. The bullets were simply too dense, like a metal storm. Even elite-level Vampires could not withstand them.

Mercury and Blade wore mocking expressions. Gathering together like idiots—if you didn’t die, who would?

Only Countess Bathory did not take cover. As she swung her rapier to block the bullets, she angrily ordered through her Bluetooth earpiece, "Kari, get in here now."

"Yes, Countess."

Kari immediately led ten armed helicopters into the Scarlet World and fiercely fired their mounted machine guns at the Drone Armors.

Those helicopters had been outside all along. Mercury and the others had failed to notice them because they had been concealed by the Blood Cloak.

The helicopters interrupted the Drone Armors’ assault. Taking the opportunity, the Vampires charged forward and retaliated with rifles and Rocket Launchers. The war had officially begun.

"Armed helicopters? It seems the European Blood Clan’s brains haven’t completely fossilized. Unfortunately, your weapons are far too outdated."

Mercury smiled disdainfully and pressed a button. Hundreds of Rotating Flying Knives flew from the surrounding buildings, attacking the Vampires amid intense whirring sounds.

These Rotating Flying Knives had all been upgraded and possessed extremely high intelligence. They were practically alive. The Vampires could dodge one, but they could not dodge a swarm. They died one after another.

At the same time, five Drone Armors flew into the sky and launched missiles at the helicopters. Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! All five helicopters were hit, trailing black smoke as they crashed to the ground and exploded with a thunderous boom.

"This won’t work. Their weapons and technology are far beyond ours."

Countess Bathory gritted her teeth, gripped her Magic Rapier, and charged at Mercury like a phantom. Clearly, she intended to capture the leader first.

"A frog at the bottom of a well. Let me show you just how vast the gap between you and us really is."

Mercury smiled disdainfully and met her with the Samurai Sword. The next moment, the two collided. The Magic Rapier and Samurai Sword clashed repeatedly in midair at astonishing speed. In just a few seconds, they had exchanged dozens of blows.

"She’s only a little over a hundred years old. How is she as fast as me?"

Unable to gain the upper hand, Countess Bathory was utterly shocked. She gritted her teeth and used a secret technique, splitting her body into ten as she attacked Mercury from different directions.

Mercury remained completely unfazed, wielding the Samurai Sword so tightly that not even water could penetrate. She blocked every one of Countess Bathory’s attacks.

Countess Bathory failed to achieve anything and merged back into one body. Mercury seized the chance and slashed at Countess Bathory’s neck, her blade flashing like a bolt of silk.

"She isn’t as fast as me. She’s faster than me."

Countess Bathory was horrified and hurriedly retreated. Mercury immediately pursued her. Both of them moved at extreme speed, one chasing and one fleeing, as though they were using Teleportation.

"By the way, wasn’t I supposed to fight the boss?"

Blade sighed, drew his silver blade and Vibranium war blade, and shouted, "Kill these Vampires who don’t know their place!"

"Kill!"

The Ten Guardians and the other elites said nothing. They followed Blade straight into the battlefield like tigers among sheep. In a single exchange, more than a dozen Vampires died at their hands.

"How are they this strong?"

The European Blood Clan was shocked. They could understand Blade being powerful, but why were even the Ten Guardians and ordinary elites so strong? The forces under the Blood God were an entire level above the European Blood Clan.

"The Blood God spent who knows how much money on us. Of course we’re stronger than you."

The elites sneered as they joined the Drone Armors and Rotating Flying Knives in surrounding the Vampires. The Vampires steadily retreated, and their complete defeat was only a matter of time.

"Damn it."

Seeing the situation become completely one-sided, Countess Bathory grew frantic. She knew she could not delay any longer. Otherwise, even killing Mercury would be meaningless.

The problem was that Mercury was too strong. Countess Bathory could not even protect herself properly, much less defeat her.

At that moment, with a sharp clang, Countess Bathory’s Magic Rapier was cut in half by Mercury’s Samurai Sword. Bathory stared in disbelief. This was a Magic Rapier she had commissioned a wizard to forge, yet it had been severed? "Do you know my sword is worth over a hundred million dollars?"

Mercury smiled disdainfully, her blade light slashing endlessly at Countess Bathory. Without a weapon, Countess Bathory was even less of a match. Several times, she nearly got cut down by Mercury.

"You brat, don’t get cocky. I’m First Generation Blood Clan."

Countess Bathory’s rage reached its peak. A vast number of blood arrows erupted from all over her body and shot densely toward Mercury. This was her killing move. Although every use severely drained her vitality, no opponent had ever been able to block it.

"Is that all?"

Mercury smiled disdainfully and opened her mouth wide. A massive blaze poured from her mouth, instantly vaporizing every blood arrow.

What remained of the flames then slammed into Countess Bathory. She screamed miserably as she burned. Taking advantage of this, Mercury’s Samurai Sword slashed out like cold lightning, instantly sweeping across Countess Bathory’s neck.

Countess Bathory began turning to ash from the neck down. She shouted in disbelief, "Why? Why are you so strong?"

"Because I drink Dragon Blood for breakfast every day. Old hag, times have changed."

Mercury answered calmly. Wang Bert was not stingy. He had given quite a lot of Dragon Blood to the other Vampires. Not only had Mercury grown stronger, Blade’s strength had improved considerably as well.

"Fire? That crazy woman actually injected herself with the Extremis Virus?"

Blade was stunned at the sight of the flames. At that moment, Wang Bert’s Ten Guardians suddenly opened their mouths and breathed fire together, igniting an entire building along with the Vampires inside.

"A bunch of lunatics."

Blade could not help cursing. It seemed he needed to work harder to increase his strength. A Vampire hunter could not be weaker than Vampires.

"I’m not willing to accept this!"

With that desperate roar, Countess Bathory completely vanished into ash. Then, the scarlet sky disappeared, and a Blood Cloak flew down from above and draped itself over Mercury.

Mercury stood on a rooftop and laughed loudly. "From now on, this is Mercury’s Blood Cloak."

The Vampire elites shouted in unison, "All hail the President! Congratulations, President!"

"Countess Bathory was actually killed by Mercury?"

The European Blood Clan fell into chaos. That was Countess Bathory, First Generation Blood Clan, yet she had been killed by Mercury, a "little girl" barely over a hundred years old?

And she had been killed in such a short time. Countess Bathory had not even had the chance to escape. This was far too shocking.

"Run!"

No one knew who shouted it, but the Vampires scattered in all directions like headless flies. Mercury immediately led everyone in pursuit, and large numbers of Vampires turned to ash beneath the hail of bullets.

At that moment, Black Light suddenly shone from the bodies of some of the European Blood Clan’s higher-ups, and then they vanished.

Mercury said angrily, "Demon Teleportation? What is James doing? Why didn’t he uncover intelligence about demons beforehand?"

Blade said, "The ones who escaped are all higher-ups. That means only the higher-ups knew about this. It’s normal that James failed to find out."

"Damn it."

Mercury cursed and shouted, "Kill them all. Leave no one alive."

"Yes."

Everyone answered together. The Vampires were terrified out of their wits. One family head dropped to his knees and shouted in panic, "I surrender! I’m willing to offer all my family’s wealth to the Blood God and obey the Blood God’s rules."

"We surrender too."

The other Vampires also dropped to their knees. Everyone turned to Mercury, waiting for her decision.

Mercury hesitated slightly and looked at Blade. Blade shrugged and said, "Your call, though I think they deserve to die."

"I only need half of them as prisoners."

Mercury spoke coldly. The Vampires froze. A moment later, a Civil War erupted. The Vampires savagely slaughtered one another, completely disregarding the fact that they had been comrades moments earlier.

"How ugly."

Blade was deeply contemptuous. He said, "I thought you would kill them all."

"I wanted to, but we used a tremendous amount of money this time. I need to make up the losses. These people can help us swallow the European Blood Clan’s wealth."

"That makes sense. Let me make this clear first: I’ll be watching these people. If they break the law, I won’t show mercy."

"There’s no need to show mercy. Treat everyone equally."

"Good."

Blade nodded, then thought of something and asked, "Grand Duke Damaskinos didn’t send anyone to take part in this battle. How should we deal with him?"

"The Blood God will deal with him personally."

"Then he’s truly unfortunate."

Not long after, the Vampires’ Civil War ended. The victors knelt on the ground and offered their wealth and loyalty to Mercury.

The European Blood Clan was basically finished. Mercury had won a complete victory.

"Very good. Mercury did not disappoint me."

Wang Bert nodded in satisfaction. Now, it was time to see what those demon gods intended to do.

"If even Mercury is this terrifying, wouldn’t the Blood God be even more frightening? What are we supposed to do?"

The escaped Vampire higher-ups gathered together, crying out in panic. One family head suggested, "Let’s ask Grand Duke Damaskinos to uphold justice for us."

"Ask him? He’s a coward. He even shut himself inside his castle."

Another family head sneered. "I bet the Blood God scared him so badly he pissed himself."

"No way, right?"

The Blood Clan stared in disbelief. Even Grand Duke Damaskinos had been frightened into such a state. What were they supposed to do? "How about we surrender? The Blood God doesn’t seem determined to kill us. He just won’t allow us to drink living humans’ blood anymore."

One higher-up could not help saying, "Hope Blood actually tastes pretty good."

"Hm?"

The Blood Clan all turned toward him, their gazes icy. "You’ve drunk Hope Blood?"

"Don’t misunderstand, don’t misunderstand."

The higher-up hurriedly waved his hands. "I was just curious. I’m not a spy."

"You’d better not be."

The Blood Clan snorted coldly. One family head said, "What kind of Blood Clan doesn’t drink living humans’ blood? Surrender if you want, but I will never surrender. Our European Blood Clan is the true orthodoxy."

Quite a few members of the Blood Clan nodded. Someone said, "If we don’t surrender, we can only flee to another continent."

The Blood Clan fell silent. They were utterly unwilling to flee in disgrace like this.

At that moment, a voice suddenly rang out. "There is another way. Kill the Blood God."

The Blood Clan froze, then all turned toward the source of the voice. They saw a handsome young man striding toward them.

One family head shouted, "Who are you? How did you know we were here?"

"I am the Hell Lord’s representative."

Harry Osborn said, "As for why I’m here, naturally it’s because of the teleportation talismans the Hell Lord gave you."

One member of the Blood Clan snorted coldly. "I knew demons wouldn’t be so kind. What do you want to use us for?"

"Don’t put it so harshly. The lords want the same thing you do: to kill the Blood God."

Harry said, "That is why the lords gave you those teleportation talismans."

The Blood Clan exchanged glances. One asked, "How do we kill the Blood God? We can’t even defeat Mercury."

"You can’t defeat him, but someone can. Your Progenitor, Dracula."

Harry said, "As long as we find him, killing the Blood God will be easy."

"Dracula?"

The Blood Clan’s eyes lit up. This really was a good idea. One of them frowned and said, "The problem is, we don’t know where Dracula is."

"He is your Progenitor. You must have some clues, right?"

"We do have some clues."

The Blood Clan nodded. One family head said, "According to rumors, Dracula should be sleeping in an ancient tomb somewhere."

Harry smiled. "Clues are enough. The Hell Lord will help you find Dracula as much as possible."

The Blood Clan gritted their teeth and said, "Fine. We’ll find Dracula and have him uphold justice and kill that damned Blood God."

"Very good."

Harry nodded in satisfaction. Next, they only had to deal with the pursuit from the Blood God’s forces.

Harry looked up at the sky and thought, My strength is still far from enough. Fortunately, Parker will soon arrive in Europe.

After hearing James’s report, Wang Bert scoffed. "So those demon gods want to use Dracula to kill me? How unoriginal."

James said worriedly, "Blood God, Dracula poses a great threat to you."

"Why does everyone think Dracula can kill me? Am I that weak?"

"Blood God, your blood came from Dracula."

"Dracula’s blood is only part of my power."

Wang Bert said calmly, "I have other powers as well. Besides, my blood is my own blood, not Dracula’s blood."

After a pause, Wang Bert said, "Forget that. Let those family heads remain undercover. If Dracula awakens, I want to know immediately."

"Yes, Blood God."

James nodded and continued his report. "Blood God, during this time, Grand Duke Damaskinos has been secretly capturing Vampires."
