Defeating the Inhumans

The Drone Armor all came to a halt, much to the little girl’s displeasure. She ordered Tony, "Go kill them. I want more pain."

"Kill them."

Tony nodded blankly. Rather than being afraid, everyone rubbed their hands eagerly.

Absorbing Man shouted, "Tony Stark’s been controlled! Anyone who wants to beat him up, hurry! This chance won’t come twice."

"Coming, coming!"

Everyone shouted in response. Dr. Richards was speechless. Looking at Human Torch flying toward Tony, he called out, "Tony is your boss."

"What employee doesn’t want to beat up their boss?"

Human Torch grinned. Just as everyone was about to make a move, the bracelet on Tony’s wrist suddenly crackled with electricity. Tony convulsed all over, smoke rising from his head.

Tony regained consciousness and cursed, "Friday, make the current weaker next time."

Having learned from last time, Tony had specifically installed an intelligent system in the bracelet. If he was controlled for over a minute, the bracelet would administer electric shock therapy.

Friday said, "A weaker current wouldn’t wake you up. Those were your instructions."

Tony curled his lip and turned toward the little girl. "You want pain? I’ll give you pain."

Just as Tony was about to bully the little girl, a woman with extraordinary speed rushed out of the house and swung a fist at him. The Iron Man Armor immediately fired an Arc Pulse Cannon at her.

Bang! Bang! Tony and the woman were both blasted away.

"Iron Man got sent flying again!"

Everyone burst into laughter. Tony gritted his teeth in anger. These bastards—what kind of comrades were they?

Steve instructed, "Jokes aside, everyone be careful. Don’t underestimate any Inhuman. Tony is proof enough."

"Understood."

Everyone nodded and focused on dealing with the Inhumans. At the same time, the Drone Armor restarted and continued firing at the Defense Shield.

"This is bad. At this rate, we’ll be defeated before long."

Jiaying’s expression was extremely grim. What frustrated her most was that quite a few Inhumans had chosen to stand by and watch. Otherwise, the situation would not have become so terrible.

Meanwhile, Raina was leading Skye, Natasha, and the others toward the prison. Along the way, Earth Demon kept sneaking glances at Raina. Dissatisfied, Raina said, "I know I’m ugly, but could you at least be polite?"

"No, you misunderstood. I received a call from the boss earlier. He told me to protect you."

Earth Demon hurriedly explained, "The boss said you’re very important. Whether the Inhumans can integrate into humanity depends on you."

Raina suddenly understood. "So that’s it. Thank your boss for me. Don’t worry, I won’t die. My mission isn’t complete yet."

Natasha asked in surprise, "She’s that important? Blood God actually called personally? Wait, isn’t Blood God dealing with Dracula?"

"She’s extremely important. When Inhumans awaken, their powers are uncontrollable. One mistake could cause a massive disaster. When that happens, humans will reject, even hate, Inhumans."

Earth Demon explained, "Raina can prevent that from happening."

"That’s true."

Everyone came to a realization and resolved to protect Raina.

Raina liked this feeling of being valued. Her grandmother had been right—she was different. Her existence held great significance for this world.

Before long, they reached the prison. More than ten guards were stationed there. One guard looked at the invisible Susan and Natasha and sneered, "Come out. My little grass has already found you."

"I hate your power."

Natasha and Susan revealed themselves, while Earth Demon remained hidden underground.

A tall female Inhuman cursed at Raina, "Raina, you actually betrayed the Inhumans?"

"I’m saving the Inhumans, Alisa. You need to help me."

"Dream on."

Alisa’s eyes turned white, and three copies of her emerged one after another from behind her. This was her power: duplication.

Natasha praised, "With that power, finding a boyfriend must be easy."

Susan added, "That power is great. If I had it, I’d definitely send a duplicate to work while I stayed home playing games every day."

"Attack! Take them down!"

Alisa shouted. The Inhumans stepped forward to fight, but at that moment, all four Alisas suddenly attacked the Inhumans beside them, knocking them to the ground.

"Alisa is on our side! Take them down!"

Natasha and Susan immediately attacked, while Skye also drew her gun and fired. She asked curiously, "Did you win her over?"

"No. This is her destiny. In the future, she’ll become a Super Hero."

Raina said, "Blood God will inject her with the Extremis Virus. She’ll become the guardian of New York and the Inhumans."

"The Extremis Virus?"

Natasha knocked an Inhuman unconscious and asked curiously, "Will her duplicates inherit her abilities?"

"Yes. By herself, she’s the equivalent of four people."

Raina said, "Also, if a duplicate dies, she won’t die. She’ll only feel some pain."

"So her duplicates can explode freely?"

Natasha was rather surprised. Alisa and the Extremis Virus were practically a perfect match.

"Yes. She’ll become the pride of the Inhumans."

Raina nodded. Everyone found it remarkable. Inhumans plus technology—there was potential there.

Soon, all the Inhuman guards outside had been defeated. Everyone rushed into the prison and saw three Inhumans holding Medusa hostage inside.

Seeing Natasha and the others, the Inhuman Lincoln held his sparking hand against Medusa and shouted, "Don’t come any closer, or I’ll kill her."

It was worth mentioning that there was another person in the cell: a disheveled, seemingly crazy man. When he saw Skye enter, he became incredibly excited.

This man was Skye’s father, Carl Johnson, also known as Mr. Hyde.

Raina said, "Lincoln, you’re not a bad person. Stop following Jiaying and doing evil."

"I don’t know whether Jiaying is right or wrong."

Lincoln said with a resolute expression, "But when I was at the lowest point in my life, Jiaying helped me get back on my feet. No matter what she does, I’ll support her."

Everyone exchanged glances. Just then, Jiaying’s voice suddenly rang out from the broadcast system. "Black Bolt, I know you can hear me. I don’t care where you are—destroy everything around you immediately, or I’ll kill Medusa at once. You have ten seconds."

At the S.W.O.R.D. base, Black Bolt frowned deeply, unsure what to do.

In the cell, while Lincoln and the others were distracted by Jiaying’s voice, Carl suddenly charged out and slammed Lincoln away.

Earth Demon seized the opportunity to emerge from underground, taking Medusa down with him.

Another Inhuman had just raised his foot to stomp when Natasha’s stun gun hit him. Convulsing, he collapsed.

The last Inhuman was blocked by Susan’s Defense Shield and could not stop Earth Demon.

Jiaying shouted in both shock and fury, "Carl, even you’ve betrayed me? You said you’d protect me for the rest of your life!"

While beating Lincoln, Carl roared, "I did say that, but you’re no longer the woman you used to be! You actually sent our baby to assassinate Blood God? Aren’t you afraid something might happen to her?"

Skye felt a little awkward. The baby Carl was talking about was her.

"Nothing will happen to her. Gordon has been protecting her."

Jiaying angrily said, "Do you know that what you’re doing will turn our daughter into a human test subject?"

Carl spread his arms and shouted somewhat crazily, "No! Our daughter, Daisy, will become the king of the Inhumans in the future."

"The king of the Inhumans?"

Everyone present except Raina was stunned. Jiaying froze, then asked, "Raina, was the king of the Inhumans you mentioned before Daisy?"

Skye pointed at herself in disbelief. "I’m the king of the Inhumans? That isn’t funny at all."

Raina nodded excitedly. "That’s right. Daisy is the future king of the Inhumans. She’ll lead the Inhumans to fully integrate into humanity and become part of it."

"My daughter is the king of the Inhumans?"

Jiaying was shaken for a moment, but quickly calmed down and shouted, "Humans cannot be trusted."

"Humans today truly aren’t trustworthy, but humanity will soon enter the interstellar age. By then, Inhumans won’t be rejected. They’ll receive the favor and support of the federal government."

Raina said, "Jiaying, you’re wrong. Surrender."

"I’m not wrong. I won’t surrender, even if my opponent is my daughter."

Jiaying shouted. Then she cut off communications and slammed her fist hard against the table, her heart filled with resentment.

Why did even her husband and daughter fail to understand her?

While Jiaying and the others were talking, Natasha and Susan subdued all three of Lincoln’s group. Natasha smiled at Skye. "Your Majesty, should I bow to you?"

"Natasha, stop joking around. I’m not some king of the Inhumans."

"Daughter, that is your destiny."

Carl walked over and said, "I’ll do everything in my power to help you. Oh, I haven’t introduced myself yet. I’m your father, Carl Johnson. I used to be a doctor…"

Carl looked extremely nervous, even somewhat at a loss. Skye could not help laughing. She knew this man loved her deeply.

Medusa, who had been rescued, said to Raina, "I’m grateful that you saved me, but Black Bolt is the king of the Inhumans."

"I looked into Jiaying’s family tree. Jiaying has royal blood, which means she and Skye are both members of the royal family."

Raina refused to yield. "According to the rules of the Inhuman royal family, the strong rule. Skye’s superpower is stronger than Black Bolt’s."

Medusa scoffed. "Absurd. How could anyone be stronger than Black Bolt? Black Bolt is invincible."

Natasha sneered. "The invincible Black Bolt you’re talking about was instantly defeated by Blood God not long ago. Listen carefully—instantly defeated."

Medusa was utterly shocked. "Black Bolt was instantly defeated by Blood God? How is that possible?"

"Nothing is impossible. Once Skye becomes an Inhuman, her superpower will even be capable of destroying Earth. She’ll become Earth’s destroyer."

Raina said fanatically, "She is the natural king of the Inhumans."

"Destroy Earth?"

Everyone cried out in alarm. Skye was dumbfounded. Me, Skye, able to destroy Earth?

"Skye, it’s a good thing S.H.I.E.L.D. is gone. Otherwise, that bald egg would definitely monitor you twenty-four hours a day and wouldn’t even leave you alone in the bathroom."

Natasha smiled. "As for now, you don’t need to worry. Blood God can solve anything."

Skye froze, then breathed a sigh of relief. "With Mr. Wang here, I really don’t need to worry about anything."

Medusa blinked. Just who was this Blood God? Why did Skye and the others trust him so completely? Setting aside the discussion here for now, at the Council of Elders, Jiaying watched the battle outside, her heart sinking. At this rate, the Council of Elders would be breached before long.

Ili, the Inhuman maintaining the Defense Shield, said to Jiaying with difficulty, "Jiaying, I can’t hold on much longer."

"Damn it. At this point, I can only use that move."

Jiaying gritted her teeth and took a pile of Terrigen Crystals from a drawer. Then she poured the crystals into a special device.

Once the device indicated that preparations were complete, Jiaying activated it. The device shook violently, and a large amount of gas poured out, spreading in all directions.

"Ili, take down the Defense Shield."

Jiaying ordered. Ili breathed a sigh of relief and immediately withdrew her power, hiding under a specially made table with Jiaying.

With the Defense Shield gone, the Terrigen Mist immediately spread toward the battlefield. Once those Super Heroes came into contact with the Terrigen Mist, they would petrify and become dead men.

"I hope there are Inhumans among you."

Holding a surveillance tablet, Jiaying sneered. At that moment, accompanied by gust after gust of wind, all the Terrigen Mist shot into the sky and gathered into a massive sphere in midair.

Staring at the tablet, Jiaying cried out in disbelief, "How could this happen?"

"Jiaying, did you think we wouldn’t anticipate this move?"

Tony controlled the Iron Man Armor as it flew into the Council of Elders. He sneered, "Wind Demon has been waiting for you to release the Terrigen Crystals."

Jiaying crawled out from under the table and shouted angrily, "Damn you! You filthy humans, we Inhumans will never submit."

"You make it sound like we’re the villains. Jiaying, you’re the villain."

Tony sneered and raised his arm, intending to subdue Jiaying. At that moment, several figures and a large dog appeared out of thin air inside the Council of Elders.

Tony was startled and hurriedly aimed his arm at the newcomers. The female Inhuman Crystal immediately pushed at Tony from afar.

With Crystal’s push, the air turned into a cannonball and slammed heavily into Tony. Tony was blasted away, sliding several meters across the ground before stopping.

Dr. Richards laughed. "Tony, that’s the second time you’ve been sent flying today."

Tony had no time to joke. As he flew back up, he shouted, "Careful, their reinforcements are here."

"Reinforcements?"

Everyone froze and hurriedly looked toward the Council of Elders, just in time to see Jiaying emerge from it with a group of people.

Jiaying shouted, "Everyone, fall back!"

The Inhumans immediately abandoned their opponents and retreated. Steve hurriedly shouted, "Stop them! They’re trying to escape!"

"Okay."

The Super Heroes immediately moved to intercept them. Crystal pushed both hands forward, causing several balls of fire to appear out of thin air and blast toward the Super Heroes.

The Super Heroes hurriedly dodged. Human Torch stepped forward to block the flames, then grinned at Crystal. "What a fiery little beauty. I like you."

"What part of me is little?"

Crystal gave Human Torch a cold look. Raising her right hand, she conjured several water balls and fired them one after another at Human Torch. Startled, Human Torch hurriedly fled backward.

At the same time, the other lunar Inhumans attacked as well. The Super Heroes were held back and could not stop the Inhumans from returning to Jiaying’s side.

Jiaying glanced at the unconscious Gordon and said to Steve, "Steve Rogers, we’ll be back."

"Ma’am, you don’t need to come back. I’ll come find you myself."

Jiaying snorted and turned toward the large dog, Tetanus. Tetanus nodded in a humanlike manner, activated his teleportation ability, and took everyone back to the moon.

"All for nothing."

Tony sighed. Steve did not mind. "It’s fine. The moon is our next stop anyway."
