Demon’s Third Eye

Infinite Dimensional Space encompassed all manner of Derivative Worlds, Secondary Worlds, and the most mysterious Primary Worlds, including films, anime, and novels. Its varieties of abilities and Bloodline Items were so vast and chaotic as to be terrifying.

Even Mystic Eyes, a Bio-Implant considered one of the most niche categories of equipment, came in such a bewildering array of types and abilities that it was dazzling.

Bai Cangshu first ruled out the three Jewel Mystic Eyes from the Type-Moon World, not because their ranks were low, but because the mana-based power system was now almost entirely incompatible with him.

His growth system had already stabilized around the physical arts. Qi, this form of energy, had no lower ceiling than mana. Though it lacked mana’s versatility, it possessed the beauty of overwhelming all methods with sheer force.

Enough qi could punch through anything.

Next were the Scarlet Eyes from the Hunter World. These eyes came from the Kurta Clan and allowed their user to achieve 100% proficiency across all Nen Ability categories. They were exceedingly precious to Reincarnators on the Nen Ability path, but Bai Cangshu would not choose them either.

"Tch, the value of these eyes is nowhere near that of my Kamui."

Bai Cangshu pointed at Uchiha Obito’s Drop Card and shamelessly described it outright as the Mangekyō Sharingan: Kamui.

Wu Junchuo’s eyelid twitched twice. He had not expected Mercenary Tao to have this sort of personality. He had assumed the other man was likely some cruel, anti-human sort, but when it came to business, he was shrewd as could be.

Leaving aside the considerable price needed to guarantee a specific item from a Drop Card, even if one obtained the Sharingan, advancing it into the Mangekyō Sharingan and acquiring Kamui’s ability would likewise require vast resources.

Kamui was indeed an excellent ability, but its "production cost" was equally steep.

Each of the Mystic Eyes he had brought out would probably sell for somewhere between two C-rank Anomaly Points and one B-rank Anomaly Point. In the hands of Reincarnators from specific paths, the Scarlet Eyes and one of the Jewel Mystic Eyes could both command a premium.

Their value was roughly equivalent to an ordinary Sharingan.

Strictly speaking, if guaranteed draws were not taken into account, the Mystic Eyes he had offered were entirely sufficient to exchange for this Drop Card.

Wu Junchuo knew Mercenary Tao was asking a premium, but he truly wanted Kamui. That high-priority spatial ability would allow him to advance and retreat freely in battle.

So he could only compromise.

"I can give you some additional compensation, but not too much. You should understand that most Reincarnators wouldn’t pay that kind of price for this Drop Card."

A Drop Card was, bluntly put, just a scratch-off lottery ticket. It was perfectly normal to have bad luck and receive only a thousand or so Dimensional Points. Uchiha Obito’s Drop Card was not the same thing as his Sharingan.

Only Reincarnators who had mastered special methods had the qualifications to guarantee a jackpot. Bai Cangshu had kept this Drop Card listed all this time precisely because he was waiting for such a Reincarnator.

He nodded, acknowledging Wu Junchuo’s point.

Among the current offers, the highest bids had stopped at one B-rank Anomaly Point and roughly ten thousand Dimensional Points. By comparison, acquiring a Mystic Eye would be more practical.

Mystic Eyes were not common even in the Slum Area.

"Then how about this God’s Right Eye and two C-rank Anomaly Points?"

Black Butler’s eyelid twitched. He felt that Mercenary Tao’s asking price was little different from getting one of the other’s Mystic Eyes for free.

Yet Wu Junchuo pondered for a moment before nodding and agreeing to the deal.

Though from everyone else’s perspective, this offer was indeed a hefty premium—he was practically spending nearly two B-rank Anomaly Points to buy a Drop Card.

But for him, opportunities to obtain a Sharingan containing Kamui were few and far between.

"Fine. Let’s trade now."

He raised his right hand, preparing to conduct the transaction, but in the next instant, a hand blocked his, preventing the two from trading.

Wu Junchuo raised his head expressionlessly. Though his Avatar looked like nothing more than a corpulent middle-aged man and was quite easygoing in temperament, that did not mean he was weak.

On the contrary, he was a veteran Title-level Reincarnator comparable to Crimson Night, absolutely not someone a mass-produced Title-level Reincarnator like Seven-Colored Mage could compare to.

Title-level Reincarnator was an extremely broad concept.

Any Reincarnator who reached the Strong-tier had a chance to obtain a title through special missions, milestones, or items, thereby gaining their own Title Ability.

However, most such Title Abilities did not possess high priority. They were the sort anyone could potentially replicate, and their strength was tied to the rarity of the milestone.

The overwhelming majority of these Reincarnators would not be called Title-level Reincarnators. Nor would they spend a large number of Anomaly Points with the Goddess to raise their authority, cross the boundary of Star-rank Reincarnators, truly enter the Title-level, and enjoy Title-level treatment.

In the conventional sense, true Title-level Reincarnators referred to powerful Reincarnators who had raised their authority with the Goddess to the level of a Title-level Reincarnator, obtaining the right to participate in Space’s various title contests.

They enjoyed extremely high authority and possessed powerful exclusive abilities with priority.

Nearly all of them had undergone a second breakthrough of their power limit and entered the Third Tier.

Space’s title system was divided into two major categories. In one, every ten mission intervals constituted a cycle, and Space would invite all Reincarnators whose authority had reached the Title-level.

Reincarnators who met the requirements could then compete for various unique titles.

The other type allowed one to obtain a title mission at the Rank Management Office upon fulfilling the conditions for a specific title. Completing it would likewise grant the corresponding title. Seven-Colored Mage and Crimson Lotus Mage were both of this type.

Title-level Reincarnators basically spanned every rank of Reincarnator above the Strong-tier.

The one standing between Wu Junchuo and Bai Cangshu was a tall, thin man wearing a half-black mask. His black short hair was meticulously groomed, and he wore a crisp blue suit and black gloves.

"Don’t be in such a hurry, Mercenary Tao. Why not hear my offer for this transaction as well?"

As he spoke, the man slowly removed the glove from his right hand. A Scarlet Sheen spilled forth, and that familiar bearing was unique to Great Sin Reincarnators.

"Let’s hear it."

Wu Junchuo had also noticed the other’s identity as a Special Reincarnator and did not stop him.

The man sat down out of thin air beside Wu Junchuo. There was no chair, yet he seemed to be sitting on the air itself.

"I doubt you’ll refuse my terms. How about using your identity in the real world as the bargaining chip?"

The man’s lips curled as he crossed one leg over the other.

Wu Junchuo frowned, realizing that this mysterious Special Reincarnator was threatening Mercenary Tao. Few people still did such things nowadays.

"Interesting."

A cruel smile likewise appeared on Bai Cangshu’s lips. He pressed both hands against his stall and leaned forward.

"That price isn’t enough to buy my item. Mr. Xu of the Yi Xin Society, show some sincerity."

Xu Zhiyu’s smile faded slightly as his thoughts turned.

"It seems Moon Demon is closer to you than I thought…"

"I want to do something big. Come help me, Mercenary Tao. A place like Northern Myanmar has no value at all."

"This is my bargaining chip. Think it over."

With that, Xu Zhiyu rose and left directly. Bai Cangshu saw that he had received an additional offer.
