Dimple

Tang Sanzang rose slightly higher. He could sense that the Sage might not defeat Mercenary Tao as swiftly as he wished.

The origins of the Sage’s abilities had always been a mystery in the space. Many reincarnators like him had tried to uncover their source, but none had succeeded.

Perhaps today, this exceptionally powerful Mercenary Tao would tear off the Sage’s mask?!

Drip… drop.

The sound of dripping water suddenly rang by Tang Sanzang’s ear. The frivolous smile on his face slowly faded. He turned his head and opened his eyes, only to find that the scene before him had somehow become an old Japanese-style house.

The wooden floor creaked unpleasantly beneath his feet. The house was dimly lit, and he could not see more than a few meters ahead. With every step he took, he felt the eerie atmosphere growing stronger.

Walking?!

Tang Sanzang suddenly realized that he, who should have been flying in the air, was actually walking through this clearly unreasonable environment.

That behavior itself was highly abnormal.

He immediately stopped and glanced out the window. In the courtyard stood a dried-up well, radiating an eerie aura without pause.

"Heh, you even moved this well into the house. Heart Demon… you really are quite the reincarnator."

Tang Sanzang raised a hand, only to discover that he could not use his abilities.

Yet there was no panic on his face. He merely looked around as the eerie atmosphere continued to grow thicker.

He had already grasped the source of Heart Demon’s strange ability. It was probably a collection of rule-based killing methods from Japanese horror films.

At this moment, he should be trapped inside the house from Ju-On, while that well came from The Ring.

Creak, creak…

A strange sound came from the stairway. Tang Sanzang looked over with smiling eyes and, sure enough, saw a woman with a bizarre spider-like body crawling down on all fours, her skin pale and her hair hanging loose.

Tang Sanzang’s body felt as though it had rusted, making movement difficult.

He nodded, then looked toward the courtyard again. At the same time, another woman crawled out from the well and began crawling toward the window.

This was undoubtedly a "rule-based" ability, and among all such abilities, it was the most dangerous kind: a "rule kill" ability.

Tang Sanzang suddenly sat cross-legged, closed his eyes, and began continuously chanting sutras.

The two eerie female figures had already arrived before him, their black hair covering his body.

Midnight Watch frowned as she looked at Tang Sanzang’s true body seated solemnly in the air. Even though his mind had been trapped in her world, he seemed completely unaffected.

Behind her, Psychokinesis Master Sera, who had claimed mastery over dozens of superpowers, had already become a pale corpse. Terror remained in her eyes, and her expression was twisted.

She clicked her tongue irritably, then looked again at Mercenary Tao, whose aura had somehow surged to the point of temporarily overwhelming the Sage. Annoyed, she tugged at her hair.

This had clearly been her idea—to hunt the Supreme Expert’s followers—so how had she ended up looking like Mercenary Tao’s subordinate?

"Send him into the Spirit World!"

A voice rang out from an immense distance, yet its echo had already arrived nearby.

A figure in a long robe and half a mask emerged from the city that was on the verge of total destruction, leaving dozens of afterimages behind as they arrived in an instant.

Midnight Watch’s eyes lit up when she saw the newcomer.

Li Qingzi charged in. She should not have been able to detect Heart Demon’s existence, but she was quite different at the moment.

Multicolored hues swirled around her, while intense spiritual energy surged from within her body.

The spirits of the Supernatural Bowl-Cut Cult’s followers were following their supreme cult leader in another way, tricked by Li Qingzi and Dimple into lending them a hand.

Li Qingzi could not see Midnight Watch, but she could see Tang Sanzang, wrapped in twisted and intense resentment.

Among everyone present, only Heart Demon had abilities connected to this aspect and could restrain Tang Sanzang, who had sent her fleeing in defeat after only a few moves.

Thus, Li Qingzi made her decision in an instant.

Wrapped in intense spiritual energy, she seized Tang Sanzang’s body in a flash. Midnight Watch also revealed a sinister smile as she looked at the eerie Spirit World and the ??? fighting Tatsumaki fiercely.

"Ha~ Interesting. Moon Demon, it seems you’ve really grown a lot at Mercenary Tao’s side…" Tang Sanzang sat with a solemn, treasure-like countenance, the smile at his lips becoming increasingly obvious. He was about to break Midnight Watch’s rules.

But suddenly, an intensely twisted aura completely enveloped him.

His entire body felt viscous, as if he had arrived in hell.

Buzz!

Golden energy abruptly bloomed from his body, and his red kasaya soared into the sky.

"Great Luo Incantation!"

The kasaya expanded with the wind, seemingly without limit. In mere moments, it had surpassed a thousand meters, covering the eerie sky of the Spirit World above him like the heavens themselves.

It also blocked the vision of that enormous black figure.

Tang Sanzang lowered his head and saw the masked woman gently stroking her Nano Combat Blade. Inky, demonic Armament Haki flowed over it, completely covering the blade.

Then she swung her sword.

Tang Sanzang neither dodged nor evaded, striking out with his palm.

Boom!

Golden Buddhist light burst forth, and overwhelming force shattered the sharp sword light in an instant.

But Tang Sanzang suddenly sensed that something was wrong. This sword strike lacked a certain spirit.

The Buddhist light instantly destroyed several kilometers of streets.

Tang Sanzang was completely different from the Sage. He was a reincarnator focused entirely on raw power, without so many strange abilities. Yet against lower-level reincarnators, a solidly powerful expert like him was even harder to deal with.

One twisted, eerie building after another shattered. Li Qingzi twisted through the air, becoming a streak of light and fleeing rapidly, trailing immense spiritual energy behind her.

Countless wronged souls were wiped out by that strike.

Even a twisted building at the entrance to the Spirit World Infested Zone began to crumble along with them.

"Urgh…"

"You hurt me…"

A sigh containing exceedingly complex thoughts came from within.

The next moment, an enormous figure radiating golden spiritual energy emerged from the shattered building.

Dimple’s spirit body had swollen muscles at this moment, its strength seemingly restored to its peak.

As a Bound Spirit, the place he inhabited was being destroyed, placing him in a life-or-death crisis. But likewise, at such times, he could unleash his power without restraint.

Dimple glanced at the enormous figure outside the Spirit World, who was fighting a powerful Supernatural Ability User glowing green.

"What the heck? There’s actually someone in this world who can fight you in that state…"

"Fine, then. No matter what you become in the future, at least… you won’t be lonely, Kageyama…"

Boom!

Another blast of Buddhist light came crashing in, sending Dimple flying with a bang.

Tang Sanzang looked down from above at Dimple in his prime and smiled teasingly.

"Dimple, have you misunderstood something?"

"Even if you return to your peak, what can you do…"

Upon seeing this somewhat familiar monk, Dimple did not feel the anger he had imagined. Rarely, he became calm and simply nodded.

"Yeah, you’re stronger than me. But… so what?"

The next moment, he vanished in an instant, his body turning into hundreds of afterimages that surrounded Tang Sanzang.

Bang!

Bai Cangshu smashed the Sage’s body apart with a single punch.

The Red Queen immediately became a mangled corpse.

The Sage himself reappeared several hundred meters in front of Bai Cangshu.

He raised a finger, preparing to establish another rule.

But Bai Cangshu did not care in the slightest.

"There’s no one else here for you to transfer the damage to now, right? What’s the point of setting up more rules…"

The Sage merely smiled and continued.

"Mercenary Tao, next, the next time you touch my body, you will… die."

Bai Cangshu frowned. He instinctively sensed something unusual.

This rule was far harsher than the previous ones.

And that premonition had not appeared in his mind.
